Product Usage Instructions

• Electric Panel Protection
  • The ESDx2UxC should be installed in the electric panel of the room. Follow the steps below:
  • Connect the AC input to the L and N terminals.
  • Connect the passage for cables (PASO DE CABLES) to the relevant terminals.
  • If the window detector is not used, do not remove the jumper.
• Connection Setup
  • To connect the ESDx2UxC, follow these steps:
  • Connect the RS485 bus cables to the IN and OUT ports.
  • Set the jumper to ON or OFF based on your requirements.
  • The communication LED will indicate the status of communication.
• Optional Placing and Installation
  • If you choose to place the ESDx2UxC on a standard electrical box, follow these steps:
  • Use the recommended holes for placing the device.
  • Ensure proper placement on a 1-gang electrical standard box.
• Window Detector Function
  • The ESDx2UxC has a window detector function that can be activated. Follow these instructions:
  • Install a window detector and connect it to the right terminal block.
  • Remove the jumper to allow the relay 2 activation to be conditioned to the window being closed.

Notes:

• It is mandatory to protect the electric circuits with fuses or magnetotermic switches properly sized.
• ESD is configured from factory to wok with any SALTO key and with an activation time of 30 seconds.
• Window detector funtion: Relay 2 activation can be conditioned to “window closed”. For that reason it is necessary to install a detector, connect it to the right terminal block and remove the jumper.
  • CAUTION- Distance between two Energy Savers mod. ESD 8/9xxxx face to face must be minimun of 80 mm.
