Warning: Do not expose the lens to high-intensity radiation sources such as the sun, cigarette butts, and bonfires even if the device is not connected to a smartphone. (The product employs the InfiRay high-sensitivity thermal imaging detector chip, which is easily damaged by the above operation.)

Smart Connection

Software installation
Search for Xinfrared in app stores (Android: various app stores; iOS: App Store) to download and install the app.
Note: In order to serve customers better, the App will be continuously updated, and some functions should be stabilized with the latest software. -
Device connection
Insert the Xinfrared thermal camera into the USB/Lightning port on a smartphone. The smartphone displays a prompt for software use, as shown in Figure 1-1. Tap OK.
Thermal camera for Android phones: For OPPO, vivo, OnePlus, and realme phones, to use the device, OTG shall be enabled on the Settings screen.
Thermal camera for iOS phones: It supports iPhone 6s and later versions.
Device Focusing
The Xinfrared thermal camera adopts an adjustable lens. If the thermal image
is blurred during use, you can manually focus the lens until the target is
clear.
App Use

Screen introduction
The Xinfrared screen displays eight common functions, which are Photo, Record, Album, Settings, Palette, Cross cursor, Hot spot tracking, and Manual shutter, as well as auxiliary functions including Latitude and longitude, Time, Temperature, Weather, Location, Compass, and Speed. as shown in Figure 2-1:

Function introduction
(1) Album, Photo, and Record
1. Album: Tap it to view the thermal imaging photos and videos taken.
2. Photo: Tap it to capture the current image and save it to the smartphone album.
3. Record: Tap it once to start recording, and tap it again to stop recording. Videos are stored in the smartphone album. The duration of each video shall not exceed three minutes. If the recording duration is longer than three minutes, it will be automatically divided into multiple three-minute videos.
(2) Cross cursor
Tap the Cross cursor button. The cursor control is displayed for the infrared image. Tap the button again to disable it. Press and hold the cursor to move the cursor at will. Tap the direction buttons of the cursor control to move the cursor for slow macro adjustment. Tap the lock button in the middle to lock the cursor. After that, the cursor will not move. The cursor position is automatically saved. Thus, it will remain unchanged when the device is used next time. See Figure 2-2 for details. -
Hot spot tracking
Tap the Hot spot tracking button. A red tracking point appears in the infrared thermal image to track the highest temperature point on the screen, as shown in Figure 2-3: -
Manual shutter
Tap the Manual shutter button for non-uniformity correction. After the button is tapped, there is a pause for the image, and you can hear a click, which means the correction ends. A click is normal. When the device is turned on, it automatically refreshes once and also makes a click. As shown in Figure 2-4: -
Palette
Tap the Palette button. The box for switching among the 6 palettes is displayed, as shown in Figure 2-5. This function facilitates observation.

Settings
Tap the Settings button. A pop-up box is displayed, which shows Temperature setting, Correction, Distance, Show Logo, Take the mirror, Camera system, Temperature switch, Automatic shutter, Speedometer, Location, Rotate 180 degrees, Multi-language, etc., as shown in Figure 2-6-1:
1. Temperature setting: Select degree Celsius(°C) or Fahrenheit(°F), as shown in Figure 2-6-2:
2. Correction: Slide to increase or decrease the temperature readings of all pixel points. The range is -3~+3°C.
3. Distance: Slide to set the measurement distance for more accurate measurement. This setting does not affect the image definition or the observation distance, but only affects the temperature measurement. The range is 0~20m.
4. Show Logo: Tap the toggle to adjust the logo display.
5. Take the mirror: Tap the toggle to turn the screen to mirror mode.
6. Camera system: When this option is enabled, the screen of the smartphone camera is displayed in the upper left corner of the thermal image. Press and hold the camera to move it at will, as shown in Figure 2-6-3:
7. Temperature switch: Tap the toggle to enable the temperature measurement function. The infrared 36.8°F image displays three temperature measurements for the highest temperature point (red), lowest temperature 42.8°F point (blue), and intermediate temperature point (yellow), as 39.8°F shown in Figure 2-6-4:
8. Automatic shutter: Tap the toggle to enable the automatic shutter function. The infrared image is automatically refreshed and corrected regularly. -
Screen display
Tap the Settings button. A pop-up box is displayed, which shows Temperature setting, Correction, Distance, Show Logo, Take the mirror, Camera system, Temperature switch, Automatic shutter, Speedometer, Location, Rotate 180 degrees, Multi-language, etc., as shown in Figure 2-6-1:
