ADVICE FOR USE AND CARE

  • Read this instruction manual carefully before using the product.
  • If you pass on the device to a third party, please include this instruction manual as well.
  • This device complies with technical norms and safety requirements for electric devices.
  • The manufacturer is not responsible for damages caused by improper use or non-observance of this instruction manual.
  • Keep children away from the device.
  • This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or by those with a lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
  • Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
  • Do not immerse the device in water. Do not expose the unit to direct sunlight. Do not use the blender near heat-producing units like ovens and cooking stoves.
  • Do not use the device if it is damaged. In order to avoid dangers, defective components should only be replaced by the manufacturer, his customer service or by similarly qualified persons. Do not open this device.
  • Never attempt to repair this device yourself. Repairs should only be performed by qualified professionals.
  • Always put the scale on a clean and flat table.
  • The max. weight the scale can handle is 5000g
  • To ensure the life of the scale do not put the scale under wet, hot & cold conditions.
  • The product is a high precision electronic weighing apparatus.
  • Therefore do not drop otherwise the scale can be easily damaged.
  • If the scale surface is dirty, please clean the scale with soft cloth, do not use any chemical detergent and don’t allow water to get inside the scale.
  • If If the result appears improperly, please check about whether the batteries and the touching point contact well. Replace with new batteries if used for a long time already, then try again.

NOTES FOR BATTERIES

  • Do not expose batteries to extreme heat, such as from sunlight, fire, etc.
  • Only use top-quality batteries. Cheap batteries could leak and damage the device as a result.
  • If the batteries leak, remove them with a cloth and dispose of them accordingly. Ensure that leaking battery acid does not come into contact with skin and eyes. If you do get battery acid in your eyes, flush them thoroughly with lots of water and consult a physician immediately! If battery acid comes into contact with your skin, wash the affected area with lots of water and soap.
  • If the device is not to be used for an extended period of time, then the batteries should be removed, as the device could become damaged should they leak. If the device functions weaken, replace all batteries.
  • Batteries are very dangerous if swallowed. Please keep the batteries and the device components away from children at all times. If a battery is swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.
  • Batteries must not be recharged or activated with other means, dismantled, thrown into fire or short circuited.
  • Remove the battery prior to disposing of the device.

Keep all packaging material away from children. Dispose of the packaging materials in an appropriate way. Contact your local authorities about collection points or waste separation. The device is intended for private use only and must not be used for commercial purposes.
The manufacturer reserves the right to change the design and the specifications of the unit without a preliminary notification.
For the purpose of using and maintaining the kitchen scale, please read this instruction leaflet before operating.

Insert the battery taking care to observe the polarity indicated on the inside of the casing.
The batteries (non-rechargeable) must not be recharged. If any leakage occurs on the battery, and if there is skin contact with the liquid (electrolyte), wash immediately with soapy water or neutralize using a weak acid such as lemon juice or vinegar. If there is eye contact rinse immediately in clean water for at least 10 minutes, and then seek medical attention.

  • Do not short circuit the poles of the battery.
  • Remove used batteries.
  • Remove the battery before disposing of the scale.
  • Remove the battery if you do not use this product for a long period of time.

REPLACING THE BATTERY

  • Remove the cover situated underneath the scales.
  • Remove the used battery and replace it with new ones making sure to respect the correct polarity (+/-.
  • Close the cover.

FUNCTIONS:

  • TARE button: ON/OFF, tare function.
  • UNIT button: change the unit (kg/g/oz/lb).

WEIGHING

  1. Press the «ON/OFF/TARE» button to turn the scales on. After 2 seconds the number «0» appears on the screen.
  2. Put the container on the scales. The weight is displayed on the screen.
  3. Press the cTARE» button, the number cO» is displayed on the screen. Put the food in the container and the net weight is displayed on the screen.
  4. Press the «ON/OFF/TARE» button to turn the scales off.

ERROR MESSAGE

  • If the “LO” message is displayed on the screen, the batteries must be changed quickly
  • If the «EEEE» message is displayed on the screen, the maximum weight has been exceeded.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE AND MAINTENANCE

  • Put the scales on an even, clean surface.
  • The maximum weight of the scales is 5000g, tare included.
  • Do not expose the scales to humidity or extreme temperatures to ensure an optimum shelf life.
  • These are electronic high precision scales. Ensure that the scales are never overloaded and do not fall over, because this can damage them.
  • If the surface of the scales is dirty, clean it with a soft cloth. Do not use chemical products to clean the scales and prevent water from getting inside the scales.
  • This appliance is suitable for small weighing and not for professional use. If the result of the weighing is not displayed correctly on the screen, check to see if the batteries have been put in correctly.
  • Replace the batteries if they have been used for a long time and try again. If needs be, contact the supplier or local distributor.

ENVIRONMENTAL SAFETY

Disposal of old electric devices
Used household devices should not be disposed of with unsorted community waste. These used devices must be collected separately from household waste in order to increase the percentage of recovered devices and to recycle their parts, with the goal of reducing the negative effects on human health and on the environment.

The symbol of the crossed-out garbage can will be stamped onto all devices as a reminder of the obligation to put them in a separate garbage collection. The consumer must consult local authorities or the vendor to inform themselves about the manner in which their device should be disposed of. Batteries do not belong in household waste! Expired batteries must be disposed of in an environmentally friendly way and according to the applicable legal regulations. Remove the battery prior to disposing of the device.

Warranty conditions

The plant guarantees normal operation of the product within 12 months from the date of the sale, provided that the consumer complies with the rules of operation and care provided by this Manual.
Service life of the product is 5 years. In order to avoid any misunderstanding we kindly ask you to carefully study the Owners Manual, the terms of warranty, and check the correctness of filling the Warranty Card. The Warranty Card is valid only if the following information is correctly and dearly stated: mode, serial number of the product, date of sale, clear seals of the company-seller, signature of the buyer. The model and serial number of the product must correspond to those specihed in the Warranty Lard. If these terms are violated, and if the information specifñed in the Warranty Card is changed, erased or rewritten, the Warranty Card is considered invalid. Setup and installation (assembly, Connection, ett.) of the appliance are described in the attached documentation; they can be carried out both by the user, and by specialists having the necessary qualification sent by USC or selling companies (on a paid basis). In this case, the person (the institution) installing the appliance shall be responsible for the correctness and quality of installation (setup). Please pay attention to the importance of the correct installation of the appliance, both for its reliable operation, and for obtaining warranty and free service. Require the installation specialist to enter all the necessary information about the installation in the Warranty Card.
In case of failure of the appliance during the warranty period by the fault of the manufacturer, the owner is entitled to free warranty repair upon presentation of the correctly filled Warranty Card together with the appliance in the factory configuration packed in the original packaging to the warranty workshop or the place of its purchase. Satistaction of the customers claim due to the fault of the manufacturer shall be made in accordance with the law On Protection of Consumers’Rights». In the case of warranty repair the warranty period shall be extended for the period of repair and shipment.

WARRANTY CARD

Dear Buyer! Congratulations on your purchase of the ARDESTO brand appliance, which was designed and manufactured in accordance with the highest quality standards, and we thank you for choosing this particular instrument. We ask you to keep the coupon during the warranty period. When purchasing a product, require a full warranty card.

  1.  Warranty service is carried out only if there is a correctly and clearly filled original warranty card, which indicates: product model, date of sale, serial number, warranty service period, and the seller’s seal. *
  2.  The service life of household appliances is 5 years.
  3.  The product is intended for consumer use. When using the product in commercial activities, the seller / manufacturer does not bear warranty obligations, after-sales service is performed on a paid basis.
  4.  Warranty repair is carried out within the period specified in the warranty card for the product in an authorized service center on the conditions and terms determined by applicable law.
  5.  The product is withdrawn from the warranty in case of violation by the consumer of the operating rules set forth in the instruction manual.
  6.  The product is removed from warranty service in the following cases:
    • misuse and non-consumer use
    • mechanical damage
    • damage caused by the ingress of foreign objects, substances, liquids, insects;
    • damage caused by natural disasters (rain, wind, lightning, etc.), fire, domestic factors (excessive humidity, dust, aggressive environment, etc.)
    • damage caused by non-compliance of power and cable network parameters with state standards and other similar factors;
    • when operating equipment in the power supply network with a missing single ground loop;
    • in case of violation of seals installed on the product;
    • lack of serial number of the device, or inability to identify it.
  7.  The warranty does not cover consumables and accessories, as well as filters, shelves, drawers, stands and other containers for storing products.
  8.  The warranty period is 12 months from the date of sale.

Tear-off maintenance tickets are provided by an authorized service center.
