ARDESTO FCM-D3200 Drip Coffee Maker

Read this instruction manual thoroughly before using and save it for future reference.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

Before using the electrical appliance, the following basic precautions should always be followed including the following:

  1. Do not immerse appliance or power cord into water or any other liquids.
  2. This device can be used by children over 8 years of age and persons with physical or sensory or mental disabilities or with insufficient experience and knowledge, if they are under constant supervision or instructed in the safe use of the device and they understand the possible dangers.
  3. Cleaning and customer service should not be performed by children without supervision. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children aged less than 8 years.
  4. Children should not play with the appliance.
  5. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, customer service or similarly qualified personnel to avoid danger.
  6. This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:
    • staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments
    • farm houses
    • by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments
    • bed and breakfast type environments;
  7. Before using it, check that the voltage of wall outlet corresponds to coffee maker rating plate.
  8. The appliance must be earthed.
  9. Close supervision is necessary when your appliance is being used near children.
  10. Do not place the coffee maker on hot surface or beside fire, avoid to be damaged.
  11. Remove plug from wall outlet before cleaning and when not in use. Allow appliance to cool down completely before taking off, attaching components or before cleaning.
  12. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair or electrical or mechanical adjustment.
  13. The use of accessory which is not recommended by manufacturer may cause injury to persons or damage to appliance.
  14. Place appliance on flat surface or table, do not hang its power cord over the edge of table or counter.
  15. Ensure that the power cord does not touch hot surface of appliance.
  16. Some parts of appliance is hot when operated, so do not touch with hand directly.
  17. Never leave the empty carafe on the keeping warm plate otherwise the carafe is liable to crack.
  18. Do not use outdoors.
  19. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
  20. Warning: Misuse may cause injury.
  21. The heating element surface is subject to residual heat after use.
  22. Untreated water can damage the coffee maker and cause it to malfunction. It is recommended to use purified, filtered water.

BEFORE THE FIRST USE

Before The First Use

To ensure the first cup of coffee tastes excellent, you should rinse the coffee maker with warm water as follows:

  1. Pour 1500 ml water into water tank.
  2. Set nylon filter in funnel (add no coffee ground), then cover up water tank cover.
  3. Place drip carafe on keeping warm plate.
  4. Connect to power source, “12:00” will show on display.
  5. Press ON/OFF button once, the red indicator is illuminated, coffee will drop out automatically after a while.
  6. After water not dropping out any more, you can pour the water in each container out then clean them thoroughly, now you can start brewing.

MAKE DRIP COFFEE

  1. Open the water tank cover, pour proper drinking water into water tank according to the mark in the tank.
  2. Add ground coffee to nylon filter with measuring spoon, a spoon ground coffee power can make a cup of top-grade coffee, but you can adjust according to the taste yourself.
  3. Cover up water tank cover, then connect the appliance to power supply source, the display will show 12:00.
  4. Set nylon mesh into funnel.
  5. Push drip carafe on keeping warm plate, pay attention to let center line of carafe aligns with that of funnel.
  6. Press down ON/OFF button once, the red indicator is illuminated, coffee will drop out automatically after a while.
    Note: at any time, you can take out carafe to serve but the time cannot exceed 30 seconds, otherwise the coffee may overflow from the edge of funnel.

SET THE CLOCK AND PROGRAMMING AUTOMATIC START-UP (only fit for making

drip coffee)

The appliance has a presetting function, after preparing:

  1. Press PROG button, you can set currently time and present time.
  2. When LED display CLOCK, press HOUR key and MIN key to finish currently time from 0:00 to 23:59.
  3. When LED display TIMER, press HOUR key and MIN key to set time for auto power on from 0:00 to 23:59.
  4. Press PROG button three times and the blue lamp on, the unit enter making coffee state. The blue lamp off and red lamp on, the unit enter making coffee for when reservation time was arrived, and will shut off after 35 minutes.
  5. The intensity of aroma can be selected by choosing one “ ” ,two“” ; three coffee beans ”when pushing the «Mode»button.
  6. Press ON/OFF one time and the red lamp on, the unit enter making coffee state, and will shut off after 35 minutes after brewing finished.
  7. Press ON/OFF key twice time, return to wait.
    WARNING: Do not leave the coffee maker unattended during making the coffee, as you need operate manually sometimes!

CLEAN AND MAINTENANCE

  1. Cut off power source and let the coffee maker cool down completely before cleaning.

  2. Clean housing of coffee maker with moisture-proof sponge often and clean water tank, drip insulation board, funnel, filter screen and drip carafe regularly then dry them.
    Note: Do not clean with alcohol or solvent cleanser. Never immerse the housing in water for cleaning.

  3. Open the water tank cover, get out the funnel and filter screen or anticlockwise rotate the funnel, then get out the funnel and filter screen (this is two kinds of common modes for getting out the funnel of drip coffee machine), then you can clean it with cleanser, but at last you must rinse with clear water.

  4. Clean all the attachments in the water and dry thoroughly.

DESCALING THE COFFEE MAKER

In order for the coffee maker to work efficiently, it must be descaled. For descaling, use a special descaling agent for coffee machines. Use only the amount indicated on the product label of descaling agent.

Pour the mixture of detergent and water into the water tank and rinse the coffee maker as described in the «Before first use» section.

You can also use citric acid to remove scale. The ratio of water and citric acid should be 100:3.

After cleaning with the product, rinse the coffee maker with clean water several times as described in the “Before first use” section.

The frequency with which descaling is required depends on the hardness of the water and how often the appliance is used.

Untreated water can damage the coffee maker and cause it to malfunction. It is recommended to use purified, filtered water.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Do not take apart the appliance by yourself if the cause of failure is not found, you had better contact certified serving center.

To return your used device, please use the return and collection systems or contact the retailer where the product was purchased. They can take this product for environmental safe recycling.

Dear Buyer! Congratulations on your purchase of the ARDESTO brand appliance, which was designed and manufactured in accordance with the highest quality standards, and we thank you for choosing this particular instrument.

We ask you to keep the coupon during the warranty period. When purchasing a product, require a full warranty card.

  1. Warranty service is carried out only if there is a correctly and clearly filled original warranty card, which indicates: product model, date of sale, serial number, warranty service period, and the seller’s seal. *
  2. The service life of household appliances is 5 years.
  3. The product is intended for consumer use. When using the product in commercial activities, the seller / manufacturer does not bear warranty obligations, after-sales service is performed on a paid basis.
  4. Warranty repair is carried out within the period specified in the warranty card for the product in an authorized service center on the conditions and terms determined by applicable law.
  5. The product is withdrawn from the warranty in case of violation by the consumer of the operating rules set forth in the instruction manual.
  6. The product is removed from warranty service in the following cases:
    • misuse and non-consumer use;
    • mechanical damage;
    • damage caused by the ingress of foreign objects, substances, liquids, insects;
    • damage caused by natural disasters (rain, wind, lightning, etc.), fire, domestic factors (excessive humidity, dust, aggressive environment, etc.)
    • damage caused by non-compliance of power and cable network parameters with state standards and other similar factors;
    • when operating equipment in the power supply network with a missing single ground loop;
    • in case of violation of seals installed on the product;
    • lack of serial number of the device, or inability to identify it.
  7. The warranty does not cover consumables and accessories, as well as filters, shelves, drawers, stands and other containers for storing products.
  8. The warranty period is 12 months from the date of sale.
