SAFETY INSTRUCTION

Read the instructions carefully before using the device. Save it for future reference. Pay attention to the safety precautions, they will help to avoid breakdowns and accidents.

SAFETY MEASURES

• Before turning on the device, make sure that the specifications of the product indicated on the device match the power supply.
• To avoid power overload, do not connect the device with other powerful electrical appliances on the same power line at the same time.
• If the device’s plug does not match the outlet, seek professional assistance. The use of different adapters may damage the device and void the warranty.
• For household use only for its intended purpose in accordance with these instructions.
• The device is not intended for industrial use.
• This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:
  • staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;
  • farm houses;
  • by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
  • bed and breakfast type environments.
• Unplug your device when you are not using it.
• When disconnecting the device from the mains, do not pull on the cable, grasp the plug.
• Avoid getting water on the power base.
• Do not immerse the device and power cord in water or other liquids. If this happens, immediately unplug the device from the mains, and before using it, check its operation and safety by contacting a service technician from an authorized service center.
• Do not use the device if the power cord and/or plug is damaged, or if it has been dropped or otherwise damaged. Only qualified personnel may repair the device. Do not attempt to repair the device by yourself. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified personnel in order to avoid a hazard.
• Keep the power cord away from sharp edges or hot surfaces.
• Place the device on a dry, level, solid surface. Do not place the device on hot surfaces, near heat sources, curtains or under hanging shelves.
• Use the device only with the supplied power base. Using a base other than the one supplied may result in damage that is not covered by the warranty.
• Always disconnect the kettle body from power base before filling the kettle with water or pouring out water, or before cleaning.
• If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water may be thrown out. Do not overfill the kettle above the Max mark.
• Before turning on the device, make sure that the lid is tightly closed, otherwise the automatic shutdown system when boiling will not work.
• Do not leave the kettle unattended during operation.
• Be careful not to burn yourself with hot steam when opening the lid immediately after the kettle boils.
• Do not touch the hot surfaces of the kettle, only grasp the handle.
• Be careful when carrying a kettle filled with boiling water.
• The device is intended for heating water only. Do not use the device for other purposes.
• Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used near children.
• This appliance can be used by children form 8 years and above and people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
• Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children.

BEFORE THE FIRST USE

• Unpack the device.
• Make sure that the operating voltage of the device matches the mains voltage.
• Place the device on a heat-resistant, level, dry surface.
• Pour water into the kettle up to the maximum level, boil and drain it. If after the first boil there is an unpleasant smell, boil the water several times. Rinse the kettle and filter with clean water before use.
• Periodic descaling will keep the kettle performing at its best. The descaling interval depends on the local water hardness.

HOW TO USE

• Remove the kettle from its power base unit.
• Press the lid release button and pull lid back.
• Use only purified water.
• Do not overfill the kettle over the Max level because boiling water being ejected from the spout while operating. The minimum amount of water should reach the Min marking.
• Fill with the desired amount of water and close the lid. To close lid simply press the lid.
• Place the kettle filled with water on the base.
• Connect the power cable to the mains and turn on the kettle by pressing the handle, after which the indicator light will light up.
• The kettle will turn off automatically when the water is boiling.
• After boiling, allow the kettle to cool for 5 minutes before refilling with water.
• Avoid sudden temperature changes when filling the kettle with water. Do not fill a hot kettle with cold water or a cold kettle with hot water.
• Condensation may form on the surface of the base. It is formed during the automatic shutdown of the kettle due to the release of steam through the vents in the base of the kettle. Before reuse, remove condensation from the surface of the base with a tissue.

USEFUL NOTES

• To prolong the life of the kettle, do not leave the water overnight, empty the water after use.
• If you accidentally turn on an empty kettle, when the kettle is heated, the protection against operation without water will work, the kettle will turn off. Let the kettle cool for 10 minutes before refilling it with water.
• Attention: Frequent switching on of the device without water may damage the protection system, so always check that there is water in the kettle before switching it on. Make sure the water level in the kettle is above the Min mark.
• Attention: the surface of the heating element remains hot after use.
• If your kettle switches off before water boiling, you have to descale the kettle.

DESCALING

• The frequency of descaling depends on the hardness of the water and how often the appliance is used.
• If the appliance is switched off before the water boils, it may need to be decalcified. Use a special decalcifying agent.
• Use only the quantity indicated in the instructions for the decalcifying agent.
• Fill the kettle with a solution of a special decalcifying agent up to the maximum mark and boil.
• Leave the solution in the kettle for several hours.
• Pour out the solution, fill the kettle with clean water up to the maximum mark and boil. Pour out the boiled water. Repeat the procedure few times.

CLEANING AND CARE

• WARNING! Before cleaning, disconnect the device from the power supply.
• Let the device cool down.
• Never use abrasives or sharp objects (knives or hard brushes) to clean the device.
• Never submerge the device in water. Never wash the kettle in the dishwasher.
• Use a damp cloth to clean the outside of the kettle. Make sure that the electrical connectors are not wet.
• If the color of the inside of the kettle body has changed, wipe it with a damp cloth with baking soda. Thoroughly rinse the inside of the kettle after cleaning.
• Regularly clean the kettle from scale.

STORAGE

• Before storing, make sure the device is unplugged and completely cooled down.
• Follow all points in the «Cleaning and Care» section.
• If necessary, the power cable can be stored in a special compartment in the power base.
• Store the device in a cool, dry place.

The manufacturer reserves the right to make changes to the technical specifications and design of products that do not impair performance.

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION / CORRECT DISPOSAL OF THE DEVICE

This marking indicates that this product should not be disposed with other household wastes. To prevent possible harm to the environment or human  health from uncontrolled waste disposal, recycle it responsibly to promote the sustainable reuse of material resources. To return your used device, please use the return and collection systems or contact the retailer where the product was purchased. They can take this product for environmentally safe recycling.

Warranty conditions

The plant guarantees normal operation of the product within 12 months from the date of the sale, provided that the consumer complies with the rules of operation and care provided by this Manual.
Service life of the product is 5 years. In order to avoid any misunderstanding we kindly ask you to carefully study the Owner’s Manual, the terms of warranty, and check the correctness of filling the Warranty Card. The Warranty Card is valid only if the following information is correctly and clearly stated: model, serial number of the product, date of sale, clear seals of the company seller, signature of the buyer. The model and serial number of the product must correspond to those specified in the Warranty Card.
If these terms are violated, and if the information specified in the Warranty Card is changed, erased or rewritten, the Warranty Card is considered invalid.
Setup and installation (assembly, connection, etc.) of the appliance are described in the attached documentation; they can be carried out both by the user, and by specialists having the necessary qualification sent by USC or selling companies (on a paid basis). In this case, the person (the institution) installing the appliance shall be responsible for the correctness and quality of installation (setup). Please pay attention to the importance of the correct installation of the appliance, both for its reliable operation, and for obtaining warranty and free service. Require the installation specialist to enter all the necessary information about the installation in the Warranty Card.
In case of failure of the appliance during the warranty period by the fault of the manufacturer, the owner is entitled to free warranty repair upon presentation of the correctly filled Warranty Card together with the appliance in the factory configuration packed in the original packaging to the warranty workshop or the place of its purchase. Satisfaction of the customer’s claim due to the fault of the manufacturer shall be made in accordance with the law «On Protection of Consumers’ Rights». In the case of warranty repair the warranty period shall be extended for the period of repair and shipment.

WARRANTY CARD

Dear Buyer! Congratulations on your purchase of the ARDESTO brand appliance, which was designed and manufactured in accordance with the highest quality standards, and we thank you for choosing this particular instrument.
We ask you to keep the coupon during the warranty period. When purchasing a product, require a full warranty card.

1. Warranty service is carried out only if there is a correctly and clearly filled original warranty card, which indicates: product model, date of sale, serial number, warranty service period, and the seller’s seal. *
2. The service life of household appliances is 5 years.
3. The product is intended for consumer use. When using the product in commercial activities, the seller / manufacturer does not bear warranty obligations, after-sales service is performed on a paid basis.
4. Warranty repair is carried out within the period specified in the warranty card for the product in an authorized service center on the conditions and terms determined by applicable law.
5. The product is withdrawn from the warranty in case of violation by the consumer of the operating rules set forth in the instruction manual.
6. The product is removed from warranty service in the following cases:
   • misuse and non-consumer use;
   • mechanical damage;
   • damage caused by the ingress of foreign objects, substances, liquids, insects;
   • damage caused by natural disasters (rain, wind, lightning, etc.), fire, domestic factors (excessive humidity, dust, aggressive environment, etc.)
   • damage caused by non-compliance of power and cable network parameters with state standards and other similar factors;
   • when operating equipment in the power supply network with a missing single ground loop;
   • in case of violation of seals installed on the product;
   • lack of serial number of the device, or inability to identify it.
7. The warranty does not cover consumables and accessories, as well as filters, shelves, drawers, stands and other containers for storing products.
8. The warranty period is 12 months from the date of sale.

• Tear-off maintenance tickets are provided by an authorized service center.
