Product usage

Before using the product
WARNING!

  • Correctly connect the unit and do not leave it within the reach of unsupervised children.

  • It is normal for heaters to emit an odour and smoke when they are turned on for the first time or have not been used for a certain period of time. This will disappear after a short while.

  • The heater must always be placed in an upright position on a horizontal surface.

  • Place the heater on a stable, heat-resistant and non-combustible horizontal surface that is at least 30 cm (sides and rear) and 50 cm (front) clear of objects such as walls, furniture and curtains.

  • Never place the heater below electrical sockets.

  • The heater is suitable for use in a 10-15 m² space, such as a living room or office.

  • Do not use the heater in a bathroom or near to a swimming pool or other body of water.
The heater must never become wet. Do not use the heater in wet or humid conditions.

  • Direct the air outlet into the room so that the air can flow freely. Make sure the air inlets are unobstructed. Do not cover the heater’s air inlet or outlet vents/grilles.

Operation

  1. Fully unwind the power cable.
  2. Check the heater’s rating plate for the correct voltage. Connect the plug to a mains socket with a suitable voltage.
  3. Turn the power dial to FAN (no heat, fan only), LOW heat or HIGH heat.
  4. Turn the temperature dial clockwise towards the MAX mark until you hear a clicking sound, the power indicator lights up and the fan or heater starts to work. Turn the temperature dial up to increase the temperature when using the low or high heat mode.
  5. Turn the temperature dial anticlockwise towards the MIN mark to decrease the heater temperature.
  6. To turn the heater off, turn the temperature dial anticlockwise as far as it can go (MIN position) and turn the power dial to the OFF position. Unplug the unit from the mains socket.

NOTE: When turning the temperature dial up in LOW or HIGH heat mode, the power indicator will turn on and a click will sound to indicate that the thermostat is starting to work, and the desired function is activated. Similarly, when turning the temperature dial down in LOW or HIGH heat mode, the clicking sound will indicate that the thermostat has been turned off (the power indicator will also switch off) and the function has been deactivated.

Heater safety features

  • For safety reasons, this heater is equipped with a tip-over switch. This switch automatically shuts down the heater if it is not in an upright position while in operation. The heater will resume normal operation as soon as the heater is returned to its upright  position.
  • The heater has a built-in overheating protection mechanism. A safety switch will turn off the power if the heater overheats (e.g. if the air inlet/outlet gratings are totally or partially blocked, the fan rotates slowly, or the fan motor stops). Turn the power dial to the OFF position and the temperature dial to the MIN position. Unplug the plug from the mains socket. Wait 30 minutes for the heater to cool down.
  • Remove the source of overheating (e.g. a blockage in the vent holes/grilles or excessive dust or dirt on the unit).
  • Turn the heater back on.

NOTE: If overheating continues or the unit repeatedly malfunctions, return theheater to an approved service centre.

Cleaning and maintenance

WARNING!

  • Before cleaning, always unplug the heater and allow it to cool down sufficiently.
  • Do not use flammable or abrasive detergents such as benzene or white spirit to clean the heater.
  • Never immerse the heater, power cable or plug in water.
  • Clean the exterior with a damp, soft cloth. Thoroughly dry the heater before using it again.
  • If you do not plan on using the heater for a long period of time, we recommend removing the feet and storing it in its original packaging in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, excessive dust and dirt.

  • Always unplug the unit from the mains before storing it. Wait until the heater has cooled down before storing it.
  • Store the unit in a fresh, dry and dust-free place, out of the reach of children and pets.
