Product Usage Instructions

DISPLAY
- The following are the messages that may appear on the display and their meaning.
- Message: „C”
- Meaning: Gas detected, please continue to blow
- Message: „-”
- Meaning Analysis in progress, please wait
- Message: „Err”
- Meaning: Sensor malfunction
- Message: „rP”
- Meaning Unstable exhalation or interrupted exhalation
- Message: „blog”
- Meaning: Start blowing into the mouthpiece of the device
- Message: „Lob”
- Meaning: Low battery level
OPERATION OF THE DEVICE
- Remove the battery box cover on the back of the unit and place two 1.5V AA batteries inside. Make sure the battery terminals are facing the correct way and reattach the container cover.
- Fit the mouthpiece to the side so that it is at 90 degrees to the rest of the device.
- To start the device, hold down the button on the device for approximately 2 seconds. A beep will sound from the device, the LED will light up blue and the display will show a countdown from 20 to 0. Wait until the countdown has finished to ensure that the device sensor is ready for use.
- NOTE: Do not blow into the mouthpiece until the countdown is complete. Premature use of the device may lead to an incorrect measurement of the breath alcohol content.
- When the countdown is over, the display will show “blog”. Take a deep breath and start blowing into the mouthpiece. The display will show a string of letters “C”, continue blowing until a beep sounds from the device. After a few seconds, the measurement result will appear on the display. The result of the measurement is given in per mille (blood alcohol content).
- NOTE: If the exhaled air flow is not constant or is interrupted during the measurement, the display will show “rP”.
- If the measured blood alcohol level is below 0.2 ‰, the LED under the display will light up green. If the measured blood alcohol level is above 0.2 ‰, the LED will light up red and an alarm will sound from the device.
- If you want to manually switch off the device, hold down the button for 3 seconds. The device will switch off spontaneously a few tens of seconds after the last activity.
- To change the unit of the result after the measurement is finished, press the key. Pressing the key switches to the next unit.
PRECAUTIONS
- Do not drop the device or shake it violently.
- Test results may be inaccurate when battery capacity is low.
- To ensure the accuracy of the measurement, perform the test 15 minutes after drinking alcohol.
- If the device has been left unused for a long time, the first measurement taken may be inaccurate.
- If you want to perform multiple tests, wait at least 1 minute between tests.
- Do not blow tobacco smoke, liquids, or pieces of food into the device. This can permanently damage the sensors and lead to incorrect measurements.
- If the device is dirty, use a gentle material to wipe it down. Do not use caustic cleaners or wire or hard cleaning utensils, they could damage the appliance casing. Do not use caustic cleaners or wire or hard cleaning tools, as these could damage the appliance.
- The correlation between breath alcohol content and blood alcohol concentration depends on a number of variables, including environmental factors (such as wind, humidity, temperature, etc.) as well as the health of the person being tested.
- The measurement results from this device do not constitute evidence in legal terms and cannot be used in court. The driver bears full responsibility for driving under the influence of alcohol.
- The result of a test can vary depending on many factors. Getting a given test result one time does not mean that the result will be the same even a few minutes later.
- Do not allow yourself or anyone else to drive after consuming alcohol. Always use a taxi or other vehicle driven by a sober person when you or someone else has consumed alcohol.
- Under normal use, the device needs to be recalibrated approximately every 6 months or after 500 tests are performed. For accurate measurement results, contact your device distributor or service center and ask them to recalibrate the device’s sensor.

- The guarantee is only valid if the device is regularly serviced and calibrated at an authorized service center at least once a year. The device has been correctly calibrated since new. Every breathalyzer offered on the market requires periodic calibration, i.e. every 12 months (every 6 months is recommended), the device must be confi gured so that it correctly interprets the amount of alcohol in the air exhaled. The need for recalibration is not a defect in the device and is not subject to warranty. A device that is not regularly calibrated will show erroneous results.
