Product Information
The product is a standalone installation module for Volkswagen
Tiguan vehicles. It is compatible with the 2023 model and has
firmware version 61.[11]. The module is designed to provide various
control functions for the vehicle, including key control,
lock/unlock, arm/disarm, parking lights, trunk (open), tachometer,
rear defrost, heated seats, door status, trunk status, hood status,
hand-brake status, foot-brake status, and OEM remote
monitoring.
Product Usage Instructions
-
To add the firmware version and options, use either the FLASH
LINK UPDATER or FLASH LINK MOBILE tool (sold separately). -
If the vehicle is not equipped with a functional hood pin,
follow these steps: -
Program the bypass option (UNIT OPTION C1) to OFF.
-
Note that parts required for installation (not included) are:
1x Vehicle Key, 1x Fuse, and 4x Diodes. -
Ensure that the engine is not running during installation.
-
It is mandatory to install the hood pin switch for proper
functioning of the hood status feature. If the vehicle can be
remote started with the hood open, set function A11 to OFF. -
Ensure that all safety elements are installed properly. The
hood pin is an essential security element. -
This module must be installed by a qualified technician.
Incorrect connections can cause permanent damage to the
vehicle. -
For software programming, you will need either a Microsoft
Windows computer with an internet connection or a smartphone
(Android or iOS) with internet connection (provider charges may
apply). The required tools are FLASH LINK UPDATER, FLASH LINK
MANAGER, and FLASH LINK MOBILE. -
For program bypass options, follow the instructions based on
the type of remote used (OEM remote or RF KIT antenna). -
Remote starter diagnostics are indicated by the LED on the
module. Flash patterns indicate different conditions: 3 flashes for
no tach, 4 flashes for ignition, and 5 flashes for hood open. -
Stick the warning card on a visible place or use the package
RSPB (sold separately). The vehicle can be started by either
pressing the lock button on the OEM remote 3 times consecutively or
by using a smartphone. Turn on the safety switch located under the
dashboard before working on the vehicle. -
The product also includes a transponder connector for
additional functionality.
