The RF 10-20mm F4L IS STM is a versatile lens designed for Canon cameras. It belongs to the RF product range and offers a wide focal length range of 10-20mm. The lens features advanced optical technology with special optics including 1x SUD, 3x UD, and 3x Gmo Aspherical elements. It has a total of 9 lens elements arranged in22 groups. The lens construction ensures high image quality and clarity. It has a close focusing distance of 0.25m and a maximum magnification of 0.12x at 20mm and 0.06x at 10mm. The lens also includes a control ring for easy adjustment of settings.

It is equipped with a built-in Image Stabilizer (OIS1) that provides up to 5 stops of stabilization. In addition, it is compatible with camera bodies that feature In-Body Image Stabilization (IBIS) for a total stabilization of 6 stops. The lens is designed to resist dust and moisture, thanks to its dust/moisture resistance feature. It has a filter diameter of 83.7mm and weighs approximately 570g.

Product Usage Instructions

Mounting the Lens

Remove the rear lens cap from the lens mount of your camera body.
Align the red dot on the lens with the corresponding dot on the camera body mount.
Gently rotate the lens clockwise until it locks into place.

Adjusting Focal Length

Rotate the zoom ring on the lens to adjust the focal length between 10mm and 20mm.

Focusing

Set your camera to autofocus mode or manual focus mode, depending on your preference.
If using autofocus, half-press the shutter button to allow the camera to focus automatically.
If using manual focus, rotate the focus ring on the lens to achieve the desired focus.

Image Stabilization

If your camera body supports In-Body Image Stabilization (IBIS), ensure it is enabled.
If not, the lens’s built-in Image Stabilizer (OIS1) will provide stabilization.

Using the Control Ring

The control ring on the lens can be customized to adjust various settings such as aperture, ISO, or exposure compensation.
Refer to your camera’s manual for instructions on how to assign functions to the control ring.

Maintenance and Care

Use the included lens cap and lens hood to protect the lens when not in use.
Keep the lens clean by using a soft, lint-free cloth to remove any smudges or dust.
Avoid exposing the lens to extreme temperatures or harsh environments.

Lenses with dust/moisture resistance are fitted with a rubber ring on the lens mount which may cause slight abrasion of the camera mount. This in no way effects either the lens or camera performance.
