SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

Windows® 10, Windows® 8.1, Windows® 8, or Windows® 7
Computer with a USB port
Note: A USB 3.0 port is recommended. The maximum resolution for a USB 2.0 port is 800 × 600.

INSTALLING THE DRIVER

To install drivers from the Internet:

1 Open your web browser and go to www.insigniaproducts.com.
Type NS-PU96203 into the search box, then press ENTER.
Click the SUPPORT/DOWLOADS tab.
Under Drivers, Firmware and Software, click English next to “Windows 10 Driver.”
If using Chrome, click the downloaded file at the bottom of your browser.
OR
If using Microsoft Edge, click Run.
Click Yes to allow the program to make changes, if prompted.
Follow the Setup Wizard’s instructions, then click Finish when installation is complete.
Restart your computer to configure the update.

Windows 10/Windows 8.1/Windows 8/Windows 7

Connect the adapter to a USB port on your computer. Your computer attempts to install the driver automatically.
If you’re using Windows 10, Windows 8.1 or Windows 8, in the File Explorer, open This PC.
OR
If you’re using Windows 7, in the Windows Explorer, open Computer.
Open the NS-PU96203&3C drive, then double-click NS-PU96203&3C again.
Click Run or Yes to start the Setup Wizard.
Follow the Setup Wizard’s on-screen instructions to install the drivers, then click Finish when installation is complete.
Restart your computer to allow the changes to take effect.

CONNECTING THE ADAPTER

Connect the adapter to a USB port on your computer, then connect a VGA cable (not included) from the adapter to your display.

ADJUSTING YOUR SCREEN RESOLUTION

Access display settings

Windows 10

Use the adapter to connect the display to your computer. See “Connecting the adapter.”
Open Settings > System > Display > Advanced display settings.

Windows 8.1/Windows 8

Use the adapter to connect the display to your computer. See “Connecting the adapter.”
Open PC settings > PC and devices > Display.

Windows 7

Use the adapter to connect the display to your computer. See “Connecting the adapter.”
Open Control Panel.
If viewing by icons, click Display, then click Adjust resolution in the menu on the left.
OR
If viewing by category, under Appearance and Personalization, click Adjust screen resolution.

Extend or duplicate your displays

Use the Multiple Displays drop-down to select Duplicate these displays or Extend these displays.
Click Apply to view the change.
Click Keep changes to save your settings or click Revert to go back to your previous
settings.

Change your screen resolution

Select the display you want to adjust.
Use the Resolution drop-down menu (Windows 10/Windows 7) or slider (Windows 8.1/Windows 8) to select the resolution you want.
Note: If your adapter is connected to a USB 2.0 port, the maximum resolution is 800 × 600.
Click Apply.
Click Keep Changes to save your settings or click Revert to go back to your previous
settings.

TROUBLESHOOTING

My computer does not detect the adapter

Make sure that all of the cables and plugs are securely fastened.
Try using another USB port on the PC or laptop.
Make sure that your monitor is functioning properly by testing it with a VGA cable connected to the VGA port on another computer.

The driver did not install correctly

Reinstall the driver by going into Device Manager, selecting USB Video Class Device, right clicking on Insignia USB Display Adapter then selecting Uninstall. Reboot your system, then plug in the adapter and repeat the installation process.
