Product Usage Instructions
- Park the vehicle on a hard-level surface. Place wheel chocks in front and behind the front wheels to prevent rolling. Observe all safety precautions and wear safety glasses.
- Raise the rear of the vehicle allowing the axle to hang free and rest the frame on the safety jack stands rated for the vehicle. Removal of the rear wheels is optional.
- Starting on the driver’s side, remove the factory Bump Stop from the underside of the frame and set it aside. These can be removed by pulling sideways firmly and rotating them out of the holders.
- Remove the lower bracket assembly parts, Lower Mounting Bracket [ITEME], and Axel Clamp Bracket [ITEM F] from the box. Then attach the Lower Mounting Bracket [ITEM E] to the lower (male) half of the Sumospring [ITEM A] using a 3/8-16 x 7/8 FHCS [ITEM H]. DO NOT apply Loctite at this stage and leave the bolt slightly loose to allow for alignment with the upper half of the Sumospring.
- Set the upper half of the Sumospring on top of the lower and place the assembly on the driver-side axle housing with the lower bracket outboard cut-out located on the flange that extends from the spacer block between the factory u-bolts and against the factory spring-pack.

- Please disassemble the product before proceeding to the installation.
INSTALLATION
- Park the vehicle on a hard-level surface. Place wheel chocks in front and behind the front wheels to prevent rolling. Observe all safety precautions and wear safety glasses.
- Raise the rear of the vehicle allowing the axle to hang free and rest the frame on the safety jack stands rated for the vehicle. Removal of the rear wheels is optional.
- Starting on the driver’s side. Remove the factory Bump Stop from the underside of the frame and set aside. These can be removed by pulling them sideways and rotating them out of the holders.
- Remove the upper bracket assembly parts, Upper Clamp Plate [ITEM B], Spacer Plate [ITEM C], and Upper Mounting Bracket [ITEM D], from the box. Slide the Upper Clamp Plate [ITEM B] into the bump-stop holder bracket underside the frame from the rear. Attach the Upper Mounting Bracket [ITEM D] and Spacer Plate [ITEM C] to the Uppe r Clamp Plate [ITEM B] using two 3/8-16 x 7/8″ FHCS [ITEM H]. Use the supplied loctite and secure tightly. Ensure you orientate the upper frame bracket with the two vertical flanges inside the frame away from the wheel.
- Remove the lower bracket assembly parts, Lower Mounting Bracket [ITEM E], and Axel Clamp Bracket [ITEM F] from the box. Then attach the Lower Mounting Bracket [ITEM E] to the lower (male) half of the Sumospring [ITEM A] using a 3/8-16 x 7/8″ FHCS [ITEM H]. DO NOT apply Loctite at this stage and leave the bolt slightly loose to allow for alignment with the upper half of the Sumospring.
- Install the 3/8-16 x ¾” Set Screw [ITEM K] into one of the holes of the wider bolt pattern on top of the upper (female) half of the Sumospring [ITEM A] so that it is sticking out 3/16 of an inch.
- Set the upper half of the Sumospring on top of the lower and place the assembly on the driver-side axle housing with the lower bracket outboard cut-out located on the flange that extends from the spacer block between the factory u-bolts and against the factory spring-pack.
- Align the 3/8-16 x ¾” Set Screw [ITEM K] with the outer hole in the upper bracket and bolt the upper half of the Sumospring to the Upper Mounting Bracket using one 3/8-16 x ¾” Serrated Flange Hex Bolt [ITEM J]. Before tightening the bolt, align the upper and lower halves of the Sumospring.
- After aligning the Sumospring halves, tighten the upper bolt and use a marker or scribe to mark the location of the lower half on the lower bracket. Remove the lower assembly from the axle, apply Loctite to the bolt, and securely fasten it in the correct position.
- A ttach the lower bracket assembly to the axle using the under Axle Clamp Bracket [ITEM F] and two 3/8-16 x 5″ Hex Bolts [ITEM I] and two 3/8 Flat Washers [ITEM G]. Apply Loctite to the bolt threads and tighten securely but take care not to over-tighten and bend the lower Sumospring bracket.
- Repeat steps 3 through 10 on the passenger side of the vehicle. Be sure to install the exhaust Heat Shield [ITEML] between the Upper Mounting Bracket [ITEM D] and sumpring [ITEM A] and position it accordingly.
- If rear wheels were removed you can now reinstall the rear wheels.
- Jack up the vehicle, remove the safety jack stands and carefully lower the vehicle to the hard surface.
- Remove wheel chocks from the front wheels.
- Register the warranty for your SuperSprings International part. A warranty card can be found in the box your part came in.

- BEFORE INSTALLATION: Ensure the vehicle is on a level surface, the parking brake is ON, with the ignition OFF, and place blocks in front of and behind the front tires to prevent the vehicle from moving.
- DURING AND/OR AFTER INSTALLATION: Ensure emergency brake cables are not touch-ing the SuperSprings. Secure any cables out of the way with zip ties or by re-routing.
- Ensure all A/C lines, brake cables, and frames are clear of contact or interference.
