Introduction

The newest portable speaker and charging dock for iPod, iPhone, and iPad is called Soma Stand from XtremeMac. It works with either an AC power adapter or batteries and is the ideal portable speaker dock for a picnic, by the pool, at home, and at the office. Simple three-step setup; most gadgets can be docked while still in their protective cases. Turn it on and play for up to six hours while travelling while listening to stereo sound that fills the space. A line- in jack is available for usage with other MP3 players as a connection. To add another function and design a unique wake-up routine, you can download the free XtremeMac Alarm Clock App. The programme enables users to set two alarms, choose an iPod music or chime to wake them up, configure nap/snooze times, and more. To help you sleep better, listen to music or soothing nature noises.

PRECAUTIONS WHEN Using BATTERIES

1. Use only the size and type of batteries specified.

GETTING STARTED

1. 1 Remove unit and AC adapter from the box and properly open and expand the legs of the Soma Stand on a flat surface
2. Flip down the 30pin dock connector from inside the right facing leg
3. Rotate out the dock and lock into position
4. Connect AC power adapter For portable use, insert 4’AA” batteries (not included) instead Of using AC power

6. Press and hold power to turn Soma Stand on, the LED will illuminate
7. Select Audio or Video on Apple device and press play

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this need any batteries or is the battery inside rechargeable?

Neither, it’s only ac adaptor operated.

Will this work on an iPhone 7? I haven’t been able to figure out how to mount my iPhone to it.

If the IPhone 7 has a lightning cable, you would need an adaptor to connect to this- this is the larger connector (30 pin) for previous iPhone models.

is this work for ipad 3rd generation?

If your ipad uses the larger connector, and not the new ” lightning” connector, it will work. We have a 2nd generation ipad that works just fine, but not the iPad Air or mini

Will this item work with android smartphones or only iPhones?

No it will not work with Android phones as it has the 30 pin connecter proprietary to the I-Phone.

Is the AC power adapter good for 220 and 110 volt ?

It’s only good for 110

Will it work on the original IPhone?

I don’t know about the original iphone but it worked on my old iphone 3GS.

Is this for a 4S?

Yes. It will work with the 4S

Will the Xtreme Max work with the IPad Air 1st generation?

No, it has the bigger connection

Does this come with an ac cord?

Yes

Will it work with ipod classic?

Yes, we use ours with our classic 30-pin ipod. We bought an adapter so we could also use it with our lightning pin iphones.

Does it work with the iphone 5s?

The Soma Stand has a 30 pin connector, which means it will not fit with the iPhone 5/5S Lightning connector. However, if you wanted to find an Apple Lightning to 30-Pin Adapter (ASIN: B009A5EIWC for example), you could try using the adapter with the base and the iPhone would be elevated about 2-3 inches.

What kind of battery does this take? My daughter wants a dock that will operate on batteries.

It takes AA batteries.

Will this work with the iphone 6 plus? The charging connector is for iphone 4 and older,

so no charging or music in the dock. You can still play music through the headphone jack and cable. There is an adapter available for the iphone 5 and 6 but at least last time I checked it allowed charging but no audio.

Can this be used with the Apple Ipod Touch 4th Generation?

Yes this charges and speakers work on my sons Apple ipod Touch 4th Generation as well as the iphone 4S. Speakers are awesome and well worth the money!!! Use mine EVERYDAY!!!

Does this work on the i pod 5 touch?

This speaker uses a 30-pin connection. The ipod 5 has an 8-pin lightning connection. You would need an adapter to use this speaker with the iPod 5. My son prefers his bluetooth speaker that allows him to use his iPod 5 with no physical connection to the speaker at all.

Is this used for ipod 4th generation
