  1. Before starting the installation, ensure you follow all proper safety precautions. Use jack stands when working under the truck, set the parking brake, block the tires, and wear safety glasses. Do not work with hot pipes.
  2. Install the Headpipe (Item A) onto the factory flange using the factory bolts. Ensure the louvres of the muffler (Item B) are facing towards the rear of the vehicle for optimal sound levels and quality of sound.
  3. With the muffler in place, install the overaxle pipe (Item C). Keep all components loose until everything is installed. Avoid bottoming out the hanger into the factory grommet to prevent vibration.
  4. Attach the supplied hanger brackets to the factory frame rail. Existing holes in the frame from the factory hanger should be used. Keep these brackets loose until everything is installed.
  5. Install the tailpipe and place it into the factory rubber grommet using the supplied Gibson Hanger (Item E).
  6. Adjust the pipes and all connections to achieve a perfect fit. Begin tightening all connections from the front to the back. After each connection is tight, double-check the tip exit locations.
  7. After your vehicle has gone through a few heat cycles, re-torque all clamps and double-check fitment. Use soap and water to clean the black ceramic-coated stainless steel tips.
  8. Ensure there is a 1-inch clearance on all pipes from rubber brake lines, shock boots, tires, etc. Torque all clamps to approximately 100 to 150 ft-lbs.

EXHAUST INSTALLATION

WHEN INSTALLING THIS EXHAUST SYSTEM MAKE SURE TO USE ALL THE PROPER SAFETY PRECAUTIONS. USE JACK STANDS WHEN UNDER THE TRUCK, SET THE PARKING BRAKE, BLOCK TIRES AND USE SAFETY GLASSES.

DO NOT WORK WITH HOT PIPES!!!

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable before removal of the OEM Exhaust. This will allow the computer to reset and recognize the new exhaust. Lay out the exhaust on the floor so it looks like the drawing and compares parts with the annual. Remove the factory exhaust by Uunbotting the rear muffler assembly just above the rear axle including muffler hangers from the frame rail. Once the muffler has been removed un-bolt the head pipe at the flanges located behind the catalytic converters. Use wdWD-40r another type of penetrating oil to remove the rubber grommets. Do not damage these they will be reused
  2. Install Headpipe Item # A onto the factory flange using factory bolts. Install a muffler with louvres opening towards the rear of the vehicle. Facing them forward will reduce sound levels and quality of sound.
  3. with the Muffler in place install your over-axle pipe. Keep everything loose until all is installed. Be sure to not bottom out the hanger into the factory grommet. It will create vibration.
  4. Install the rear supplied Hanger brackets to the factory frame rail. There will be existing holes in the frame from the factory hanger. Keep loose until everything is installed
  5. Install the tailpipe and place it into the factory rubber grommet onto the supplied Gibson Hanger
  6. Adjust pipes and all connections to find that perfect fit. Begin to tighten all connections from the front to the back. Double-check your tip exit locations after each connection is tight.
  7. After your vehicle has gone through a few heat cycles torque all your clamps and double-check fitment. Use soap and water to clean your black ceramic-coated stainless steel tips.

“MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A 1” CLEARANCE ON ALL PIPES FROM ALL RUBBER BRAKE LINES, SHOCK BOOTS, TIRES, ETC…” TORQUE ALL CLAMPS TO APPROX. 100 TO 150 FT LBS.
