Any damage, modifications or excessive wear to your vehicle may require modification to the product and/or your vehicle to ensure proper fitment.
To Install Rear Extensive
A. Locate the factory screw from the lower front of the rocker panel.
Remove and discard. See Picture 1.
B. Locate the Trail Am1or passenger side rear fender extension and one
supplied m6-1.0x 25mm bolt. Holding the extension into position, install the
25mm bolt through the lower pre-drilled hole of the extension into the hole
where the factory screw was previously removed. Refer back
to Picture 1
C. Starting with the first tab above U1e 25mm bolt, use a pencil to mark
the center of the tabs. After marking centers of the tabs, mark 5/8″ from the
edge of the factory fender. See Picture 2A and 28. Using a ‘/4” drill bit,
hold U1e extension tight against the factory fender, drill a ¼” hole at the
intersection ofU1e two marks. Make ~re hands are away from where you are
drilling!
D. Locate one supplied ¼-20 x 518″Torx Truss screw and one supplied ¼-20
nylock nut. Insert the 5/8″ screw through the factory fender, though U1e Trail
Amnor extension, and secure with the 1 /4-20 nut. See Picture 3.
E. Working around the fender, repeat this procedure for each oft11e 0U1er
eight tabs making sureU1e extension is held tight against U1e factory fender.
See Picture 4.
F. Locate the two factory screws in the rear side lieat sltield and
remove temporarily. See Picture 5A. Locate the supplied passenger side metal
support bracket. Slide the bracket behind the heat shield and replace die two
factory screws and nuts. Usit1g die ¼” drill bit, drill through die remaining
hole of the support bracket and though the extension. See Picture 5B. Locate
one supplied ¼-20 x 5/8″ Torx Truss screw and one supplied ¼-20 nylock nut.
Insert tl1e 5/8″ bolt through the top oftl1e extension, through the support
bracket, and secure with the 1 /4-20 nylock nut.
To install Front Extensions
H. Locate the facto1y screw in the rocker panel and remove temporarily.
Locate the Trail Annor passenger side front tender extension. Holding the
extension into position, insert the factory bolt U1rough the lowest hole on
the extension into the hole where the factory bolt was removed. See Picture 6.
I. As was done on the rear 0ares, mark the tab centers and measure the
5/8″ from U1e factory fender edges. Start with the closest tab, drill the ¼”
hole. Again, BE CAREFUL of placement of your hands! Locate one supplied ¼-20 x
5/8″Torx Truss screw and one supplied 1/..-20 nylock nut. Insert the 5/8″
screw through the factory fender, through the extension, and secure with the
nylock nut. See Picture 7 A. Also, locate one supplied #10 x ¾” Phillips Oat
washer head screw. Insert the ¾” screw into the pre-drilled hole just above
the factory screw. See Picture 78.
J. As witl1 tl1e rear extensions, work aro1md the fender for the four
remai11ing side tabs. See Picture 8. Before installing the front two, locate
the factory screw underneath the front of the fender. Remove temporarily,
insert through the extension and back into the factory hole. See Picture 9.
K. Once the factory screw is replaced, the two remaining tabs can be
installed. The factory screw may have to be removed to achieve the ”perfect”
fit on the front tab. See Picture 10.
L. Repeat Steps H-K for the driver side.
