Product Instructions

1. Turn on or off and save the Video File:
2. Unscrew the Pen Camera and insert the TF Card into the TF Card Slot.
3. Press and hold the button on top of the Pen Camera for 2 seconds. A yellow indicator light will display, indicating that it is powered on and in standby mode.
4. To save the video file, once the indicator light is on, press and hold the button for 4 seconds. The yellow light will flash, indicating that the Pen Camera is saving the video file automatically and will shut down.
5. Charge: Connect the USB port of the computer to charge the camera. While charging, the yellow light will be on and the red light will blink slowly. Once the battery is full, the red light will turn off.
6. Set the time:
7. Create a txt file named “Time.txt” under the root directory of the memory card.
8. Open the “Time.txt” file and input the desired time settings string in the format of Year-Month-Day, followed by a single space, and then hours:minutes: seconds. For example: 2012-08-16 13:26:20.
9. The text file will be deleted automatically by the system, and the camera will automatically use the set time when restarted for another recording.
10. To use it as a Plug-and-Play Webcam:
11. Insert a Micro SD Card into the card slot.
12. Power on the pen camera.
13. Connect the pen camera to a PC using a USB cable.
14. The pen camera will show up as a USB Pen Drive. Hold the button until it shows as a Plug-and-Play Webcam, and use Skype or AMCap to open it.

Exception Handling:

• When the storage space of the camera is filled up, the red light and blue light will blink simultaneously for about 5 seconds. The camera will automatically save the present video files and turn them off. To use the camera again, back up the important video files to your computer and delete older files in the camera to free up space.
• When the battery power is low, the red light and blue light will blink alternately for about 5 seconds. The camera will automatically save the present video files and turn them off. To use the camera again, recharge it.
• If the camera does not respond due to improper operation or other special reasons, you can press the reset button with a toothpick or any other non-metal bar.

1. Turn on or off and Saving the Video File:
2. Unscrew the Pen Camera, and insert the TF Card into the TF Card Slot.
3. Press and hold the button on top of the Pen Camera for 2 seconds, then a yellow indicator light will display. It is now powered on and in Standby. Once the indicator is light on, press and hold the button for 4 seconds and the yellow light will flash. The Pen Camera will save the video file automatically and shut down.
4. Video Recording and Taking Photo: After turning on the camera, the indicator light will be yellow. Press the button once quickly and the camera will take one picture. At this point, the light will be back to yellow again. Press the button for 2 seconds and the yellow light will flash 3 times and go off and will then begin to take video. Press again to stop the video and save the file. In order to ensure the document’s size and quality, the system will save the video files automatically every 15 minutes and continue video recording.
5. Connect to Computer: At the state of being turned off or on standby, the pen can be connected to the computer. The pen will appear on the computer as a Removable Disk, which can be opened to display the photo and video files saved there. When the camera is transferring data with the computer, the red light will blink. When disconnecting the camera, please click the “Safely Remove Hardware” icon which is on the lower right corner of the computer screen. After the system has completed this operation, you can disconnect the camera from the computer.
6. Charge: connect the USB port of the computer and the camera will be charged. When the battery is charging the yellow light will be on and the red light blink slowly. Once the battery is full, the red light will be off.
7. Set the time: Create a “txt” file under the root directory of the memory Card named “Time.txt”. Open the “time” text document, and input the time settings string, the string is composed of “Year-Month-Day”, then a single space, followed by, ” hours: minutes: seconds”.

To use it as a Plug-and-Play Webcam: insert a Micro SD Card into the card slot, power on the pen camera, connect it to the PC by USB Cable and it will show up as a USB Pen Drive. Hold the button till it shows as a Plug-and-Play Webcam by using skype or “amcap” to open it.
