FOREWORD
We thank you for choosing our product. It is designed for you according to the highest quality standards. Please read the operation manual carefully before using and operating the unit. Heed all warnings. If the device is passed on to another person, this manual must be handed over to the user along with it. Please keep this manual handy for future reference.

INTENDED USE
The car parking sensor consists of ultrasonic sensors, a control box, and a buzzer. It is easy to install. This system detects the distance between the car body and obstacles in the back with ultrasonic sensors installed on the rear bumper of the car. With the change of alarm sound, the product can detect and alert obstacles correctly. It is the best choice for the safety of your car.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Read this user manual carefully before using the product. If you do not observe the instructions on proper handling in this manual, we shall not be held liable for any resulting personal injury or damage to property.

  1. Please install this product within the voltage range specified. Failure to do so can cause electric shock or product malfunction.
  2. Electric shocks or product malfunctions may occur if this product is installed incorrectly.
  3. If smoke or a burning smell is detected, disconnect the system immediately.
  4. When you install the system, the car should be in a powered-off state.
  5. Pay attention to the difference on the size of the hole saw for the sensors. The sensor should not be installed too tightly or too loose.
  6. Do not locate the control unit near to other interference such as exhaust pipe or other wires.
  7. Where the power cable may touch a metal case, cover the cable with friction tape. A short circuit or disconnected wire may cause a fire.
  8. Feed as much cable as possible into the vehicle and clamp it securely. This reduces the possibility of the cable being hooked or snagged.
  9. Keep all cables away from hot or moving parts and electrical noisy components.
  10. The performance may be affected in the following situations: heavy rain; gravel road, bumpy road, sloping road, and bush; metal bumper; very hot, cold, or moist weather; the sensors are covered by snow, ice mud, etc. Another ultrasonic or electric wave, e.g. the DC/AC switch or 24V/12V switch may affect the performance of the system.
  11.  Test the system to make sure it works well before using it.
  12.  This system is a reversing aid and the manufacturer takes no responsibility for any accidents caused after the kit is installed.

INSTALLATION AND TEST

Sensor installation

Testing

  1. After the installation of sensors, turn sensors in to correct direction and arrange the wire in good order.

  2. Connect the red cable from the control box to the positive of the reverse light, the black wire to the negative

  3. It should work properly if a person is at a distance of 1 m away from the front of the sensors.

    • When testing sensors, if the buzzer gives continuous sound, check whether some parts of the car or some unwanted objects fall into the detecting range, or the hole is too small thus the sensor is
fitted over tightly in it, or the sensors are near to some strong interference sources (such as exhaust pipe, and other wires).

    • If the buzzer sounds but there is nothing in front of the sensor, maybe the sensor is detecting the ground, check the position and direction of the sensor. The sensors should be slightly raised in
      horizontally.

    • The sensors may detect protruding objects in the back, such as the license plate, the spare tire, and the bumper. In this case, slightly adjust the sensors’ position.

    • If the problems cannot be solved, the sensors can be deemed as defective or the sensors do not match with the control box. The whole system should be replaced.
      Note:

    • The sensors & the control box, the sensors & the jacks are matched on a one-to-one basis.

    • For safety reasons, the buzzer will sense 0.0 instead of 0.3 to 0.1 when detecting something at a distance of 0.0 to 0.4m. In this situation, the driver should park the car immediately.

    • When the distance is within 0.5m, the alarm sound will keep 1 second longer. Please pay attention to this while making adjustments.
