Product Information
The product is a fixture that needs to be mounted on a wall. It includes a mounting plate, a fixture wall plate, a large glass shade, a round ring, a small glass shade, a cushion ring, and a socket. The fixture should be connected to an outlet box using the provided screws and wire connectors. It is important to ensure proper grounding by connecting the fixture’s ground wire either to the outlet box’s ground wire or directly to the mounting strap using the provided green screw. The maximum wattage rating of the bulb should not be exceeded.
Product Usage Instructions
- Before starting the installation, cut off the power supply at the fuse box or circuit breaker.
- If there is an existing fixture on the wall, remove it along with its mounting hardware.
- Take out the new fixture from the carton and verify that all parts are included according to the illustration.
- Attach the mounting plate (I) to the outlet box using the outlet box screws (J). Make sure that the side of the mounting plate marked GND faces out.
- Connect the electrical wires as shown in Fig. 2, ensuring that all wire connectors are securely fastened.
- If your outlet box has a ground wire, connect the fixture’s ground wire to it. Otherwise, connect the fixture’s ground wire directly to the mounting strap using the green screw provided.
- Tuck the wire connections neatly into the wall outlet box.
- Attach the fixture wall plate over the mounting plate by protruding the mounting screws through the mounting holes on the wall plate. Secure them with the ball nut (H) until snug.
- Place the large glass shade (F), round ring (E), small glass shade (D), and cushion ring (C) in that order over the socket (G). Then secure them with the socket ring (B) using the socket ring tool (A).
- Install the bulb according to the fixture’s specifications. Make sure not to exceed the maximum wattage rating.
- Once the installation is complete, restore power to the junction box and test the fixture.
