**

Intended use

The product is an industrial fan heater. The product is intended to be used as a space heater. Do not use this appliance to dry or heat clothing, shoes, pipes or any other items.

This product is only suitable for well insulated spaces or occasional use.

The heater is equipped with an overheat protection.
The product is designed for private and commercial use.
In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the Employer’s Liability Insurance Association for Electrical Systems and Operating Materials are to be observed.
The product can be used in schools and training centres. The use must be supervised by trained personnel.
The product is intended for indoor use only. Do not use it outdoors.
Contact with moisture must be avoided under all circumstances.
If you use the product for purposes other than those described, the product may be damaged.

Improper use can result in short circuits, fires, electric shocks or other hazards.
The product complies with the statutory national and European requirements.
For safety and approval purposes, you must not rebuild and/or modify the product.
Read the operating instructions carefully and store them in a safe place. Make this product available to third parties only together with the operating instructions.

Read first!

The heater can overheat when covered and cause fire. Do not cover the heater.

  • Children of less than 3 years must be kept away unless continuously supervised.
  • Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall only switch on/off the appliance provided that it has been placed or installed in its intended normal operating position and the children have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years must not plug in, regulate and clean the appliance or perform maintenance.
  • This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and user  maintenance shall not bemade by children without supervision.
  • Children shall not play with the appliance.
  • Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
  • WARNING : Do not use this heater in small rooms when they are occupied by persons not capable of leaving the room on their own, unless constant supervision is provided.
  • Do not use this heater in the immediate surroundings of a  bath, a shower or a swimming pool.
  • CAUTION : Some parts of this product can become very hot and cause burns. Particular attention has to be given where children and vulnerable people are present.
  • Do not position the product directly below a mains socket.
  • A damaged mains cable may only be replaced by the manufacturer, a workshop commissioned by the manufacturer or a similarly qualified person, so as to prevent any danger.
  • WARNING : To reduce the risk of fire, keep textiles, curtains or any other flammable material a minimum distance  of 1 m from the air outlet.
  • Do not use this heater if it has been dropped.
  • Do not use this heater if there are visible signs of damage to the heater.
  • Use this heater on a horizontal and stable surface

General

  • The product is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
  • Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. This may become dangerous playing material for children.
  • If you have questions which remain unanswered by this information product, contact our technical support service or other technical personnel.
  • Maintenance, modifications and repairs must only be completed by a technician or an authorized repair center.

Handling

  •  Handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height can damage the product.

Operating environment

  • Moisture and dust might result in electric shock. Do not use in bathrooms or similar environments. Do not use in dusty environments.
  • Unstable and soft surfaces can cause the appliance to fall down or fall over and result in fire. Always place the appliance on stable and sturdy surfaces.
  • Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
  • Protect the appliance from extreme temperatures, strong jolts, flammable gases, steam and solvents.
  • Protect the product from high humidity and moisture.
  • Protect the product from direct sunlight.
  • The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
  • The grille heats up during operation. Do not touch the grille to prevent burns.
  • Keep mains cable and appliance away from heated surfaces.
  • Do not insert objects into openings, as it might cause an electric shock, fire or damage to the appliance.
  • Consult an expert when in doubt about the operation, safety or connection of the product.
  • If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and protect it from any accidental use. DO NOT attempt to repair the product yourself. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
    • is visibly damaged,
    • is no longer working properly,
    • has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
    • has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.

Mains cable

Do not modify or repair mains supply components including mains plugs, mains cables, and power supplies. Do not use damaged components. Risk of death by electric shock!

  • Only connect the mains plug to a mains outlet protected by a residual current device  (RCD) having a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA.
  • The mains outlet must be located near to the device and be easily accessible.
  • Never plug in or unplug the mains plug when your hands are wet.
  • Never pull the mains plug from the socket by pulling at the cable. Always pull it from the mains socket using the intended grips.
  • Unplug the mains plug from the mains socket if you do not use the device for an extended period of time.
  • Disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket in thunderstorms for reasons of safety.
  • Make sure that the mains cable is not squeezed, bent, damaged by sharp edges or put under mechanical stress.
  • Avoid excessive thermal stress on the mains cable from extreme heat or cold.
  • Do not modify the mains cable. Otherwise the mains cable may be damaged. A damaged mains cable can cause a deadly electric shock.
  • Do not touch the mains cable if it is damaged.
    •  First, power down the respective mains socket (e.g. via the respective circuit breaker) and then carefully pull the mains plug from the mains socket.
    • Never use the product if the mains cable is damaged.
  • A damaged mains cable may only be replaced by the manufacturer, a workshop commissioned by the manufacturer or a similarly qualified person, so as to prevent any danger.
  • Ensure that cables are not pinched, kinked or damaged by sharp edges.
  • Always lay cables so that nobody can trip over or become entangled in them. This poses a risk yof injury.

Electrical safety

  • Extension cords can overheat and catch fire. Do not use extension cords.
  • Do not put stress on the power cord where it connects to the appliance. The power cord might break and result in electric shock.

Maintenance

  • Do not open the housing.
  • Do not immerse in water.

Setting up

  1. Place heater onto its feet on a flat, sturdy and non-flammable surface. Keep a distance of min. 1 m to surrounding objects.
  2. Connect the mains plug to a suitable mains socket.
  3. à The heater is ready for operation.

Operation

Operating heater continuously

  1. Rotate the fan control dial to the desired position to switch the fan on.
  2. The heater starts to operate.
  3. Fully rotate the thermostat dial to the marking MAX.
  4. The heater operates continuously

Operating heater at preset temperatures

By setting the thermostat dial you can maintain a desired room temperature. The heater switches off when the set room temperature is reached and switches on again when the temperature falls below the set temperature.

  1. Rotate the fan control dial to the desired position to switch the fan on.
  • The heater starts to operate.
  1. Fully rotate the thermostat dial to the marking MAX.
  2. Wait for the room temperature to reach the desired temperature.
  3. Slowly rotate the thermostat dial towards the marking MIN until you hear a ‘click’ sound.
    • You have set the desired room temperature.

After using

  1. Rotate the fan control dial to the position 0 to switch the heater off.
  2. Disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket.
  3. Let the heater cool down to room temperature before moving, storing or cleaning.

Protections

Resetting the overheat protection

The overheat protection switches the heater off automatically if a certain temperature is exceeded.

To reset the overheat protection:

  1.  Rotate the fan control dial to the position 0.
  2. Disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket.
  3. Let the heater cool down to room temperature (approx. 10 min.).
  4. Check if there are obvious blockages that caused the heater to overheat. Remove them.
  5. Press the reset button RESET.
  6. Connect the mains plug to the mains socket.
  7. Restart the heater.

Cleaning

Important:

  • Do not use aggressive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions. They damage the housing and can cause the product to malfunction.
  • Do not immerse the product in water.
  1. Disconnect the product from the power supply.
  2. Let the product cool down to ambient temperature.
  3. Clean the product with a dry, fibre-free cloth.

Disposal

This symbol must appear on any electrical and electronic equipment placed on the EU market. This symbol indicates that this device should not be disposed of as unsorted municipal waste at the end of its service life.

Owners of WEEE (Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment) shall dispose of it separately from unsorted municipal waste. Spent batteries and accumulators, which are not enclosed by the WEEE, as well as lamps that can be removed from the WEEE in a non-destructive manner, must be removed by end users from the WEEE in a non-destructive manner before it is handed over to a collection point.
