The ELAZKO PAROWE BEZPRZEWODOWE (Cordless Steam Iron) is a model CSI-2111 iron. It operates on a power supply of 220-240 V~ with a frequency of 50-60 Hz, and has a power rating of 2000-2400 W.

Safety Guidelines

  1. This device is suitable for use by children aged 8 and older, as well as individuals with limited physical, sensory, or mental abilities, or without experience and knowledge, if they are supervised or instructed on how to use the device safely and understand the associated risks. Children should not play with the device. Children should not clean or maintain the device unsupervised.

Usage Instructions

Filling the Water Tank
Ensure that the device is turned off and disconnected from the electrical outlet before filling the water tank.

Placing and Removing the Iron from the Base
After placing the iron on the base, it will gradually lose temperature. Take note of this when removing the iron from the base.

Ironing Process
If you choose to iron with steam, fill the water tank according to the instructions provided in the “Filling the Water Tank” section. It is allowed to have water in the water tank for dry ironing as well. Before ironing, check the fabric label for recommended ironing temperatures.

INTENDED USE

The cordless steam iron is designed for ironing fabrics in order to remove creases. The power of 2000-2400 W makes it an ideal device for those who value usage convenience. The steam burst function enables it to iron out stubborn wrinkles perfectly. There is a possibility of vertical ironing and ironing without the power base and a tangled power cord. This device is intended for private indoor use and may not be used for commercial purposes. Following the instructions ensures safe installation and use of the device.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  1. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
  2. The iron must not be left unattended while it is connected to the supply mains.
  3. The plug must be removed from the socket outlet before the water reservoir is filled with water.
  4. The iron must only be used with the stand provided.
  5. The iron must be used and rested on a flat, stable surface.
  6. When placing the iron on its stand, ensure that the surface on which the stand is placed is stable.
  7. The iron is not to be used if it has been dropped, if there are visible signs of damage, or if it is leaking.
  8. Keep the iron and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years of age when it is energized or cooling down
  9. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
  10. Read the entire manual before use.
  11. The device is intended for private indoor use only and may not be used for commercial purposes. Use the iron only for its intended purpose. Do not use for other purposes other than those for which it is intended.
  12. Do not use outdoors or in rooms with increased humidity.
  13. Before switching on, check that the voltage indicated on the rating plate corresponds to the main voltage in your home.
  14. To avoid the risk of fire or electric shock, basic safety precautions should be followed when using electrical appliances, especially when children are present.
  15. CAUTION: To avoid overloading the circuit, do not use other high-power equipment on the same circuit.
  16. Be especially careful when there are children in the vicinity of the device!
  17. Before starting operation, the power cord must be carefully unwound.
  18. Make sure that the power cord does not touch the hot soleplate of the iron.
  19. Do not cover the device when in use. If the appliance is covered or in contact with flammable material, there may be a risk of fire.
  20. Do not immerse the device, cord, and plug in water or other liquids!
  21. Do not touch the device with wet hands.
  22. Be especially careful when pouring water into the tank.
  23. Only tap water should be poured into the tank.
  24. Do not add fragrances, vinegar, or other chemicals to the water tank, as they may seriously damage the device.
  25. Do not open the water tank lid while ironing. The water tank cover must not be opened during use. Fill the water tank as described in section 7.2 FILLING THE WATER TANK.
  26. Pay attention to the water level in the reservoir. Too much water in the water tank may cause it to overflow during ironing. Too little water may prevent you from working with a burst of steam.
  27. Be careful when emptying the water tank – the risk of scalding by hot water.
  28. Never turn the device upside down or put it on its side when it is turned on.
  29. Never iron the clothes you wear and never direct the steam at people.
  30. Never direct the steam at other people or animals.
  31. Never direct the steam directly at electrical devices or devices containing electrical components (TV, radio, electric heater).
  32. Do not direct the steam at unprotected wooden surfaces, unsuitable joints, cold glass or plastics.
  33. Warning! Do not touch hot metal parts, hot water or steam to avoid burns.
  34. After use, switch off the iron, disconnect it from the mains, and then place the appliance in an upright position on a stable surface. Attention! The iron will remain hot for a while.
  35. When the device is not in use or before cleaning, disconnect the plug from the wall socket. Allow the device to cool down before cleaning.
  36. Never pull on the cord when disconnecting it from the electrical socket; instead, grasp the plug and pull to disconnect.
  37. Do not wrap the power cord around the iron or the base until the iron is completely cold.
  38. Do not try to disassemble any part of the device. There are no repair parts inside the iron.
  39. Attention! The danger of burns! The soleplate becomes very hot during use.
  40. Warning! Never touch the soleplate of the iron when it is switched on! The danger of burns!
  41. Burns can be caused by contact with the hot parts of the iron, steam, and hot water. Hot water may be in the water tank and leak out when the iron is turned.
  42. Keep the instructions and, if possible, the packaging.
  43. If you pass the device on to other people, make sure that these operating instructions are passed on with the device.

Open the packaging and carefully remove its contents. Make sure that the set is complete and that its components are undamaged. Check if plastic parts are not broken and the power cord is not damaged. If you find that any component is missing or damaged, contact the vendor and do not use the product. Retain the packaging or dispose of it in accordance with local regulations.

Caution! To keep children safe, do not leave any packaging parts (plastic bags, cardboard boxes, expanded polystyrene elements etc.) freely accessible. Danger of suffocation!

OPERATION

Before first use
Remove any labels, stickers or protective foil that may be attached to the body or soleplate of the iron.
ATTENTION! When used for the first time, the iron may emit smoke. This is normal procedure and does not indicate a malfunction. The iron should then be placed in a well-ventilated room. This phenomenon will stop after a short while. If the smoke continues to come out, disconnect the iron from the power supply immediately.

Filling the water tank
ATTENTION!

  • Do not throw any objects into the water tank.
  • Do not add water while ironing or while the iron is hot.
  • The device is adapted to work with tap water.
  1. Make sure the iron is unplugged from the power outlet.
  2. Open the water inlet cover on the front of the iron.
  3. Fill the water tank (not to exceed the maximum level marked on the side of the iron)using the included water dosing cup.
  4. Close the water tank inlet cover.

Attention! Empty the water tank after each use.

Placing the iron on the base/removing the iron from the base

  1. Make sure the device is turned off and unplugged from the power outlet.
  2. To place the iron on the base, make sure the base lock is in the unlocked position, then place the iron on the base. Then, slide the stand lock toward the closed padlock symbol to lock the stand.
  3. To remove the iron from the base, slide the base lock toward the open padlock symbol and remove the iron from the base.

ATTENTION! After removing the iron from the base, it will gradually lose temperature.

Work

  • If you decide to iron with steam use, fill the water tank as described in section 7.2 Filling the water tank before turning on the iron.
  • When dry ironing, it is permissible that there is water in the water tank.
  • ATTENTION! Check the required ironing temperature marked on the label of the fabric before ironing.
  • ATTENTION! If there is no ironing information on the label of the fabric, and you know the type of fabric, follow the table below. The table is valid for actual materials and is not valid for any applied finish, gloss etc.
  • Textiles with a special type of finish (shine, softening of wrinkles, etc.) are usually ironed at lower temperatures.
  • ATTENTION! First, sort the fabrics according to the ironing temperature: wool with wool, cotton with cotton, etc. The iron heats up faster than it cools down. Begin ironing items that require the lowest temperature, such as those made of synthetic fibers, then move on to the ones that require higher temperatures.
  • If you do not know the type of fabric the ironed product is made of, set the correct ironing temperature by ironing a part of it that will be invisible when used.
  • Anti-drip function – the iron automatically stops producing steam when the temperature is too low to prevent water from dripping from the soleplate.

Dry ironing

  1. Place the iron in an upright position.
  2. Make sure the iron is properly seated on the base and that the base lock is in the closed padlock position.
  3. Set the steam regulator to the (no steam) position.
  4. Connect the power cord plug to a grounded electrical outlet.
  5. Set the required ironing temperature with the indicator on the iron casing by turning the temperature control knob clockwise to the desired position.
  6. The light indicator of the iron heating process will turn on.
  7. When it goes off, it means that the iron has reached the desired temperature.

Sprinkler function
You can use this function to remove stubborn creases.

  1. Check if there is water in the tank, if not – go to section 7.2 Filling the water tank.
  2. Press the spray button repeatedly to moisten the fabric being ironed. The water will come out of the spray nozzle in the front part of the iron.

Steam burst function
It is useful for removing creases from hanging clothes, curtains, etc. You can also use this function when dry ironing.
ATTENTION! The steam must not be directed at people!

  1. Check if there is enough water in the tank, if not go to section 7.2 Filling the water tank.
  2. Place the iron in an upright position.
  3. The temperature control knob should be set to at least or MAX.
  4. Connect the power cord plug to a grounded electrical outlet.
  5. The light indicator of the iron heating process will turn on and it will turn off when the iron has reached the desired temperature.
  6. Press the steam burst button while pointing the soleplate towards the fabric.

Steam ironing

  1. Check if there is enough water in the water tank, if not, go to section 7.2 Filling the water tank.
  2. Place the iron in an upright position.
  3. The temperature on the temperature control knob should be set to at least 00 OR 000
  4.  Set the steam boost setting to the position.
  5. Connect the power cord plug to a grounded electrical outlet.
  6. The light indicator of the iron heating process will turn on and it will go out when the  iron has reached the desired temperature.
  7. Steam will only come out of the iron in a horizontal position.
  8. After you finish ironing with steam, set the steam boost setting to the (no steam) position.

Finishing work

  1. Place the iron upright on the base and set the lock to the closed padlock position. 2. Disconnect from power.
  2. Wait until it cools down.
  3. Empty the water tank.
  4. Place in a dry, well-ventilated place.

ATTENTION! In the event of a thermostat failure, the thermal protection will work to prevent the iron from overheating.

CLEANING AND CARE

Main principles
Proper and regular cleaning ensures safe operation and extends the life span of the device.

  1. Wait for the iron soleplate to cool down before cleaning.
  2. Clean the soleplate and the casing with a damp cloth.
  3. Do not clean the device using any caustic or abrasive cleaning agents.
  4. Do not use vinegar, chlorine or other chemical compounds for cleaning the appliance.

Self-cleaning function

  1. Fill the water tank halfway.
  2. Set the temperature control to the maximum position.
  3. Connect the iron to the mains.
  4. Allow the iron to heat up until the indicator light turns off.
  5. Unplug the steam iron from the mains.
  6. Holding the iron horizontally over the sink, set the steam control to the maximum position.
  7. Hot boiling water and steam will be ejected from the holes in the foot of the iron together with the impurities flushed out.
  8.  Place the iron on an old (preferably) piece of cloth to dry it thoroughly.

Anti-calc function

  1.  A special resin filter inside the water tank softens the water and prevents scale build- up on the plate. The resin filter is durable and does not need to be replaced.
  2. Use only tap water. Distilled or demineralized water makes the „anti-calc” system is ineffective, changing its physical and chemical properties.
  3. Do not use chemical additives, fragrances or de-calcifiers.
  4. Failure to observe above rules shall result in loss of warranty rights.

Attention!

  • Do not use any strong chemicals, alkaline, abrasive or disinfecting agents for cleaning, as these may damage the surface of the device.
  • Do not use metal, sharp or abrasive cleaning tools, as these may damage the surface of the appliance!
  • Do not immerse the iron and the power cord in water or other liquids.
  • Be careful when cleaning. Hot steam or water may escape from the soleplate.

REPAIR

The device does not contain any user-serviceable parts. Do not attempt to repair the device on your own. Always have the device repaired by a professional.
If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, a service centre representative or a properly qualified individual in order to avoid hazard.

STORAGE AND TRANSPORTATION

  • Wait until the iron cools down.
  • Empty the water reservoir.
  • Wrap the power cord around the iron bottom after the iron cools down completely.
  • Store the empty iron upright on a stable surface.
  • Always keep the device in a dry, well-ventilated location inaccessible to children.
  • Protect the device against vibration and shock during transport

DISPOSAL

Keep the packaging materials out of children’s reach, as the materials can pose a hazard. The packaging should be disposed of in accordance with local regulations.

Correctly dispose of the device:

  1. According to the WEEE Directive 2012/19/EU, the crossed-out wheelie bin symbol is used to label all electric and electronic devices requiring segregation.
  2. Do not dispose of the spent product with domestic waste: hand it over to an electric and electronic device collection and recycling center.
  3. Hazardous components in electronic and electrical equipment have a negative impact on the environment and human health.
  4. Plastics contained in the device can be recycled in accordance with the specific marking. By recycling materials and spent equipment you will help to protect the environment.
  5. Information on electric and electronic device collection centers is available from local government agencies or from the vendor.

The device has been designed, manufactured, and placed on the market in accordance with the requirements of the New Approach Directives and therefore the product has been CE marked and has been issued with a declaration of conformity made available to market regulators.

  1. The Manufacturer of this product grants a 36-month warranty valid from the purchase date. Should you find any defect, submit a complaint at the place of purchase.
