MEASURING

MEASURING TIRE PRESSURE

Hold ON button for 2 seconds to activate the unit.
Press the button to change measuring units.
Align the nozzle of the tire gauge with the valve stem on your tire.
Apply sufficient force to engage the nozzle with stem. Hold the tire gauge on the valve stem until a reading appears on the display and locks.

MEASURING TREAD DEPTH

Hold ON button for 2 seconds to activate the unit.
Push the slider and press the button to change the unit.
Hold the gauge against the tread to be measured, and push the slider into the grooved section of the tire while resting the base section of the gauge housing on the top of the tire tread until it meets resistance, and then the thread depth reading is displayed.
Remove the gauge from the tire and push the slider indicator up towards the top.

Note: It is important to remember that this tread depth gauge is for guidance only. Check with professional tire dealers if you have more questions.
The gauge will shut off automatically after a 30 second time out period.

REPLACE THE BATTERY

Unscrew and open the battery cover on back of unit and remove the old battery, insert 2 new CR2032 batteries, ensuring correct polarity. Place the battery cover back in position and tighten the screw. Use only fresh batteries
Do not mix old and new battery. Please recycle used batteries.

TROUBLESHOOTING

PROBLEM/ SUGGESTED REMEDY

The top battery bar is flashing: The battery is depleted and must be replaced.
The unit has an unusually high or low reading: Check to make sure that there are no leaks in the system. Re-start the unit and check the air pressure in the tire.

Tire pressure accuracy: +/-5%
Tread depth range: 1/32-19/32 inch or 1.5-15mm
Tread depth accuracy: 0 ~ +1/32 inch or 0 ~ +0.3mm
