RADRUNNER CONSOLE (FOR RADRUNNER 3 PLUS)
NOTICE: You MUST read and understand all warnings in this document AND the owner’s manual that shipped with your bike. The latest version of these instructions, your ebike’s Owner’s Manual, and all other Rad Power Bikes product documentation are available online at radpowerbikes.com/help (U.S. and Canada) or radpowerbikes.eu/help (EU/UK).

WARNING: Incorrect assembly, installation, maintenance, or use of this accessory can cause component failure, loss of control, serious injury, or death. If you are not sure you have the experience, skills, and tools to correctly perform all the steps for proper installation, consult a local, certified, reputable bike mechanic.

PRODUCT USE

The RadRunner Console can be attached to the RadRunner 3 Plus. It is not compatible with the original RadRunner, original RadRunner Plus, or the RadRunner 2, which work with the original RadRunner Center Console, available at radpowerbikes.com (USA/Canada) or radpowerbikes.eu (EU/UK).

Top half and lid. The Console can be used with or without its top half in place. Its top half includes a locking lid to help you secure your belongings.
The lid can rotate to a nearly vertical position (see Figure 1). Do not force the lid to rotate past that position, or you could permanently damage the product.

Capacity. The Console’s maximum weight capacity with the top half in place is 15 lb or 6.8 kg.
Using in wet conditions. This product is water resistant and not waterproof. Do not submerge a water resistant product in water. Note that the bottom of the product includes drainage holes.
Loading the Console. When loading the Console, hold onto your ebike and take extra care to ensure it remains stable, especially if you are load-ing something heavy. Kickstands are designed to hold up an unoccupied, unloaded bike on a hard, flat, stable  surface.

WARNING :

  • Do not use this product to carry any live animals or a child. Using this product to carry live animals or a child could cause serious injury and/or death to the animal, child, and/or ebike operator. For information on accessories designed for pet transportation, please go to radpowerbikes.com (USA/Canada) or radpowerbikes.eu (EU/UK). Your Owner’s Manual discusses options for using your ebike to transport human passengers, inherent risks, and ways to reduce risk.
  • Follow all weight limits for your ebike and its components (see your Owner’s Manual for more information), and for this product. Exceeding the weight limit for the Console (15 lb or 6.8 kg), or the total carrying capacity of your bike or individual components can cause component failure, potentially leading to accidents that can cause serious injury or death.
  • Do not rest your feet or any body parts on the Console, which can damage the accessory or its contents, and can increase the risk of falls and other accidents, potentially leading to serious injury or death.

INSTALLATION

Your Console comes with a mounting bracket, three hand knobs, and two keys. To install it, you will need a 3 mm Allen wrench.
NOTICE: Hardware may vary (bolt head style) and/or require a different size Allen wrench. Use the appropriate tool for your bolts. Ensure the tool is pressed firmly into the bolt head and turn slowly to prevent stripping.

  1. Prepare your bike for installation. Turn off the bike. Unlock and remove the battery. Press the power button to discharge remaining power.
  2. Use an Allen wrench to remove the mounting bolts on your seat tube (see Figure 2). Set the bolts aside.
  3. Open the Console. Use your key to unlock the lid.
  4. Recommended: Remove the top half of the Console from its bottom half (see Figure 3). Press both tabs until they can slide through the slots, and then lift off the top. Removing the top half of the Console will give you better visibility into its interior, making the installation process easier.
  5. Attach the Console to the seat tube. Insert a hand knob through each of the two rear mounting points and thread the knobs into the seat tube until the Console touches the seat tube (see Figure 4). Do not fully tighten the knobs.
  6. Install the mounting bracket. Place the mounting bracket underneath the support bars (see Figure 4). Align the mounting bracket so that the threaded hole sits directly underneath the hole in the bottom of the Console. You’ll need to hold the mounting bracket in place with one hand while threading the hand knob into it with your other hand.
  7. Secure all three hand knobs. Fully tighten both of the seatpost knobs and then check that the bracket knob is secure. Ensure that the mount-ing bracket is still positioned correctly (see Figures 4 and 5).
  8. Reinstall the top half of the Console. Align the tabs in the top half to the tab slots in the lower half and press firmly until both sides click into place.
  9. Close the lid. Optional: Lock the lid with your key.
  10. Reinstall your battery, test the bike fully, and ride Rad!
