Warnings and Notices
-
Incorrect assembly, installation, maintenance, or use of this accessory can result in component failure, loss of control, serious injury, or death. If you are unsure of your ability to install the accessory correctly, consult a certified bike mechanic.
-
Do not carry human passengers on the trailer. Attempting to do so may lead to accidents, serious injury, or death.
-
The trailer should only be used with bikes made by Rad Power Bikes. Using it with other bikes may cause damage to the bike or result in accidents, serious injury, or death.
-
Ensure the trailer and pet carrier are properly installed and securely attached before use. Failure to do so may result in accidents, serious injury, or death.
-
Transporting a pet(s) using any bike carries the risk of injury or death. Use this product cautiously and at your own risk.
-
Ensure that the combined weight of your pet(s) and the pet carrier does not exceed the trailer’s maximum payload capacity of 100 lbs (45 kg). Exceeding this capacity can lead to component failure on your bike.
-
The rider is responsible for securing loads, and loose straps, and assessing a pet’s ability to ride safely. Transporting a pet who is not suitable or capable of riding safely may lead to serious injury or death of the rider and/or pet(s). Consult a veterinarian or pet behavior specialist if you have any concerns.
-
Do not exceed 15 MPH (24 km/h) when riding with the pet carrier. Reduce speed to 5 MPH (8 km/h) when turning, riding in hilly areas, rough terrain, or if you are not confident with the conditions. Exceeding these speeds may result in accidents, serious injury, or death.
-
Do not attempt to climb hills steeper than a 15% grade with the trailer and pet carrier attached. Doing so may cause component failure on your bike.
-
Allow more space for stopping and avoid locking up the rear wheel with sudden braking. Carrying pets or cargo significantly affects braking, acceleration, turning, and balancing, which can increase the risk of falls and accidents leading to property damage, serious injury, or death. Practice riding with light cargo in a flat, open, safe area before carrying heavier cargo or pets,
especially in challenging conditions. -
Always ensure that pets and/or cargo do not interfere with the rider or any moving parts. Failure to do so may result in serious injury or death. Keep your pet in sight at all times while they are in the carrier.

WARNINGS AND NOTICES
Incorrect assembly, installation, maintenance, or use of this accessory can cause component failure, loss of control, serious injury, or death. If you are not sure you have the experience, skills, and tools to correctly perform all the steps for proper installation, consult a local, certified, reputable bike mechanic.
- DO NOT CARRY HUMAN PASSENGERS ON THE TRAILER. Attempting to carry human passengers on the trailer may result in accidents, serious injury, or death to the rider or passengers.
- The trailer should not be used with bikes not made by Rad Power Bikes. The trailer was not designed to work with other bikes and may cause damage to the bike or lead to accidents, serious injury or death.
- Ensure the trailer and pet carrier are properly installed and securely attached before use. Failure to do so may result in accidents, serious injury, or death.
- Transporting a pet(s) using any bike puts the rider and pet(s) at risk of injury or death. Use this product with common sense and at your own risk.
- Ensure the combined weight of your pet(s) and the pet carrier does not exceed the trailer’s maximum payload capacity of 100 lbs (45 kg). Exceeding the maximum payload capacity can lead to component failure on your bike.
- The rider is always responsible for securing loads, and loose straps, and assessing a pet’s ability to ride safely. Using this product to transport a pet who does not have the health, temperament, impulse control, etc. to ride safely can lead to serious injury or death of the rider and/or pet(s). Consult a veterinarian or pet behavior specialist if you have any questions or concerns.
- Do not exceed 15 MPH (24 km/h) when riding with the pet carrier, and reduce speed to 5 MPH (8 km/h) when turning, riding in hilly areas, rough terrain, or if you don’t feel confident with conditions. Exceeding these speeds may lead to accidents, serious injury, or death.
- Do not climb hills steeper than a 15% grade with the trailer and pet carrier attached. Attempting to climb hills steeper than this can lead to component failure on your bike.
- ALLOW MORE SPACE FOR STOPPING, AND AVOID LOCKING UP THE REAR WHEEL WITH SUDDEN BRAKING. Carrying pets or cargo significantly affects braking, acceleration, turning, and balancing, which can increase the risk of falls and other accidents, potentially leading to property damage, serious injury, or death. To minimize risk, practice riding in a flat, open, safe area with light cargo before attempting to carry heavier cargo or pets, especially on roads, hills, or in wet conditions.
- Always ensure that pets and/or cargo cannot interfere with the rider or any moving parts. Failure to ensure that pets and/or cargo can’t interfere with the rider’s control of the bike can lead to serious injury or death. Ensure that you can see your pet at all times while they are in the carrier.
- The kickstand is not designed to be used for loading cargo or pets. Do not assume the bike is stable and balanced when using the kickstand. Always hold onto the bike when cargo or pet(s) are being loaded, in place, or attached to the bike.
- Never leave a pet unattended in the pet carrier. Leaving pets unattended in the carrier creates a VERY HIGH RISK of the trailer and/or bike tipping over causing damage to the bike or property, serious injury, or death.
- Let the pet out of the carrier before removing it from the trailer. Attempting to remove the pet carrier with a pet still inside can lead to property damage or serious injury to your pet.
- Keep the plastic window on the front of the pet carrier closed while riding. Failure to do so can result in water or road debris from the rear wheel entering the pet carrier and injuring your pet.
- Ensure your pet stays cool and adequately hydrated while in the pet carrier.
- Failure to do so can result in serious injury to your pet.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Clean the pet carrier with mild soap and water. Do not use any cleaning solvents.
INSTALLATION
NOTICE: Hardware may vary (bolt head style) and/or require different tools. Use the appropriate head size and type of tool for your bolts. Ensure the tool is pressed firmly into the bolt head and turn slowly to prevent stripping.
- Unpack the Pet Carrier. Remove the Pet Carrier from the plastic covering and unbuckle the straps that hold the Pet Carrier together.
- Unfold the Pet Carrier (see Figure 1 ).
- Lift the front and rear ends outward.
- Unzip the vents on the top of the carrier. This will give you access to the three support poles that will hold the carrier upright.
- Connect the support poles.
- Locate the center support poles and bring them together.
- Pull the spring-loaded collar back on the front end and insert the rear end to secure the two poles together. See Figure 2.
- Repeat the process for the left and right support poles.
- Mount the Pet Carrier on the Trailer.
- Remove the four accessory mounting bolts from the corners of the trailer.
- Place the assembled Pet Carrier on the trailer. The Rad Power Bikes logo should be facing the rear, while the side with the waterproof window faces the bike. See Figure 3 .
- Remove the carrier pad from the pet carrier.
- Insert a mounting bolt through the pet carrier and the corresponding mounting point in the corner of the trailer. See Figure 4 .
- Secure the mounting bolt with the hand knob on the underside of the trailer.
- Repeat the process with the remaining mounting bolts.
- Replace the carrier pad.
- Attach your pet’s leash to the D-ring connector. Make sure there is enough slack in the leash so that your pet can safely turn around while in the carrier.
- Ensure the trailer and Pet Carrier are secure before riding. Zip up the waterproof window that faces the bike to prevent any water or debris from the rear tire from spraying your pet while riding, and secure any vents by closing the zippers, or using the tie-backs to leave them open for ventila-tion.
