Steel-Line SC Clearview Roller Shutter
Product Information
The SC Clearview Roller Shutter is a popular design specifically tailored for the retail industry. It offers a combination of safety, style, and strength. This roller shutter allows for after-hours display, enhancing the product range and maximizing marketing opportunities. It is designed to provide vermin-proof protection while still allowing the public to have a clear view of the merchandise.
The curtain of the SC Clearview Roller Shutter is constructed using clear polycarbonate extrusions with a depth of 100mm. These extrusions interlock with symmetrical aluminum extruded members measuring 30mm, forming a continuous hinge. Each aluminum member is equipped with molded end clips to prevent lateral movement and ensure smooth operation within the side guides.
The side guides are made of 50mm x 33mm extruded aluminum and have a false back to conceal fixings. An optional Nylofelt Buffer is available for added convenience.
The locking mechanism of this roller shutter can be located in the mid rail or bottom rail. It features a centrally mounted two-way Mortice Key Lock or Sliding Shoot Bolt Locking system within the bottom rail. The brackets are manufactured from 90mm x 40mm mild steel.
The roller drum is made from a 229mm spiral ducted tube attached to self- lubrication drum wheels and bearings that rotate on a 34mm steel shaft. The shaft is equipped with helical springs designed to counterbalance the weight of the curtain throughout its operation. The drum is designed to minimize detection over its span.
Mullions are two-piece extruded aluminum sections that can be set to any angle. They are used for wide openings and multiple door installations. The mullions are of the “lift out type” with shoot bolts at the base. Special wide mullions fabricated from aluminum sheet are used when two grilles meet at an angle and there is no room for stacking.
The SC Clearview Roller Shutter can be operated manually as standard. Chain and motorization options are available upon request. It has a matt natural anodized finish as the standard option, or it can be finished with standard Powdercoat Colors.
