INTRODUCTION

We would like to congratulate you on the purchase of our water course. We appreciate your trust. That‘s why functional security and operational safety stands on first place for us.

To prevent damage to persons or property, you should read this user manual care- fully. Please observe all safety precautions and instructions for proper use of the pump. Failure to follow the instructions and safety precautions can result in injury or property damage. Please keep this manual with the instructions and safety instructions carefully in order to at any time you can restore them.

IN GENERAL

The water course is a high-quality fountain pump system for outdoor use. The perfect eye-catcher in your garden.

2.1 It‘s recommended NOT to conduct yourself technical modifications. First, it is not certain whether these changes are technically correct and, secondly, because no guarantee can be granted.
2.2 Transport damages are immediately to be reported to the package distributor and to us in written form. Failure to give timely notice to the shipping company, and are there- fore rejected your claims from the transport company, so we can not accept these claims as well. In your legal obligation to cooperate to minimize damage, we point out expressly herewith.

OPERATION

• Unpack all components carefully. You should have received the following parts; 1 pc water course part A / 2 pcs water course part B / 2.5m water pipe (1/2” Dia.) / 1 pc Power adapter / 1 pc 2-way cable splitter / 1pc Pump / 1 pc 4-way cable splitter / 4pc LED lights / 1 pc Hybrid solar panel (sold separately)
• To protect the product, place all parts on a flat, soft surface.

3.1 A regular linear water course can be formed as shown right. You can also form them as curved water course as you wish.

3.2 You can find a fixed pipe connector In the right side of Part A, connect the provided pipe to the pipe connector, the other end of pipe should be connected to pump.

• Connect pump and led light with the power adapter (See diagram)
  

• Fill reservoir with appropriate amount of water to fully submerse the pump. Now your new fountain is assembled and ready for use.
  Note : Destilled water is recomended to reduce mineral deposits and bacteria build-up.

IMPORTANT

Read carefully the safety instructions, before using the power adapter.

SAFETY CAUTION FOR FOWER ADAPTER

• To reduce the risk of fire or electrical shock, DO NOT expose the power adapter to rain or moisture, DO NOT short the polarity (output cords and connectors)
• DO NOT use It if you find anything damaged to its housing, output cords or connectors.
• DO NOT use it with any equipment other than the specifically provided product.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards Involved. Children shall NOT play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall NOT be made by children without supervision.
• DO NOT make unauthorized alterations to the product; doing so may damage the product, even cause risk of fire or electrical shock and void the warranty.
• Always keep the adapter dry in use.
• If outdoors the electrical outlets MUST be waterproof to IP44 standard, we recommend the use of a residual current device (GFI) Ground Fault interrupter (available from all good D.I.Y stores), when connecting the adapter to the electric supply.“ to this section.

SAFETY OPERATION FOR POWER ADAPTER

• Always unplug the power adapter before performing any maintenance or adjustment.
• Ensure that the electrical cord loops below the electrical outlet to form a „Drip loop“.
  This will prevent water from running down the cord into the electrical outlet.

MAINTENANCE OF PUMP

If you find the pump start losing power or stop working, please clean the pump filter and impeller with clean water.

4.1 FROST

Frost can cause damage to the pump. In freezing the pump and pipes must be emptied, rinsed with clean water and stored dry.

In order to save your electricity bill, you can select our hybrid solar parts to upgrade your electric fountain to solar hybrit fountain easily.

The solar components mentioned here can also be used with simple 230V/12V pumps (without solar connection!) – and are also compatible with our simple solar pumps, even if they have no or only one LED light.

When good sunlight condition, the pump will run by solar power only. When partly cloudy day, the pump will run by hybrid power (part solar + part electricity). When night time, the pump will run by electricity only. All automatically controlled and keep pump running all day and night without any hassle. The hybrid solar system will detect the solar power condition all the time, and optimize the power saving for your home.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTION

5.1 Join bracket, tube and spike together, then attach bracket to the frame lip of soIar panel.

5.2 Remove the 2-way splitter cable, then add the 5m extension cable and hybrid solar panel Into the system as below diagram.

Connect the pump, LED lights and power adapter with hybrid solar panel. (see diagram)

If there is a rubber bung, lead the cables through it and place it on the tube in the corpus to avoid water leakage.

5.3 Insert the spike into the ground. Position the panel to face south (in northern hemisphere) as much as possible to make the most of the daylight hours. It is important to engle the solar panel to face sun when sun Is at Its highest point.
Ensure the solar panel Is not shaded by trees, shrubs or buildings.

OPERATION AND FUNCTION

• Continual use mode:
  Press button [power on/off], indicator light [continual on] lit, pump will work continuously all day and night.

• Timer function mode:
  Press button [mode select], Indicator light [4hrs timer] lit, pump will work all daytime and 4 hours timer when day become dark. The pump will re-start automatically early next moming and re- peat this time set for every day.

• Indicator light [solar power] lit, means the system is running by solar power only.

• Indicator light [hybrid power] lit, means the system is running by hybrid power.

NOTE 1 : LED lights only works at night time.
NOTE 2 : If the power adapter is not used In this hybrid system, [power on/off] and [mode select] buttons no work, LED light no work. The pump still works as long as the sun light condition is good enough in the place. The pump‘s perfomance depends on the orientation of the solar panel toward the sun (see section 6.3) and the strength of sunlight.

SECURITY TIPS

• Obey absolutely valid regulations on the electrical security
• Never run pump dry
• Pumping inflammable, as well as all other aggressive liquids is prohibited
• Pay attention to the medium temperature max. 35°C
• The mains plug must be disconnected before carrying out any work on the water course
• Never pull the pump on the electrical cable or pressure hose
• Avoid cross section narrowing
• Pay attention to the given particle size
• During longer unused times, clean the pump, wash it out with clear water, dry and store it at room temperature
• Test wells for enough flowing water (dry run danger)
• The pump may be used by children aged 8 years and above as well as persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or those who lack skills, experience and knowledge only if they are supervised. These aforementioned persons should only use the appliance while adhering to safe instructions and resulting dangers.
• Cleaning and maintenance must not be carried out by children without supervision.

THE MANUFACTURER EXPLAINS:

• To take over no responsibility in the case of accidents or damages on the basis of carelessness or disregard to the instructions in this manual.
• To reject every responsibility for the damages which originate from the improper use of the device.

GUARANTEE REGULATIONS

For all manufacturing and material defects, the statutory warranty applies. In these cases we take the replacement or repair of the device. Shipping costs shall be borne by our company, except as required by law. Please report the warranty on our service platform http://www.profi-pumpe.de/service.php. We will inform you how to proceed with case-related. Returns please sufficient postage. Unfortunately not prepaid returns can not be accepted because they are filtered out before delivery. Our service we provide in Germany.
The warranty does not cover:

• Material wear (sealing rings, impeller wheels, impeller chambers)
• Unjustified interventions or changes in the pump
• Damages by selffault
• Improper servicing and improper use
• DRY RUNNIG (Also partially!) of the pump

Moreover, we give no damage compensation for secondary damages!

RECOGNISING AND REPAIRING OF MISTAKES

NOTES ON PRODUCT LIABILITY

We point out, that we are only liable for damages under the Product Liability Act, which are caused by our units if no changes were made to the equipment. If repairs are carried out by our authorized service, we are only liable if original spare parts and accessories were used.

NOTES ON DISPOSAL

Electro devices of our company, labeled with the symbol of the crossed trash bin, are not permitted to be disposed in your household garbage. We are registered at the German registration department EAR under the WEEE-No. DE79535656. This symbol means, that you’re not allowed to treat this product as a regular household waste item – it has to be disposed at a recycling collection point of electrical devices. This is the best way to save and protect our earth.
