IN GENERAL
Solar Pond Pump Kits are high-quality fountain pump systems for energy use in
outdoor or indoor use.
The perfect eye-catcher in your garden or seed tray. Through the use of high-
quality solar technology with Li-Ion batteries are the Solar Pond Pump Kits
mains-independent and anywhere to use immediately.
2.1 It‘s recommended NOT to conduct yourself technical modifications. First,
it is not certain whether these changes are technically correct and, secondly,
because no guarantee can be granted.
2.2 Transport damages are immediately to be reported to the package
distributor and to us in written form. Failure to give timely notice to the
shipping company, and are therefore rejected your claims from the transport
company, so we can not accept these claims as well. In your legal obligation
to cooperate to minimize damage, we point out expressly herewith.
STARTING
-
Unpack all components carefully. You should have received the following parts:
1pc pump with 5m cable / 1pc LED light ring with 5m cable / Battery box / 1pc Remote control (Included OASIS 501R-1, OASIS 801R-1, OASIS 1601R-1) / 1pc Solar panel with 2m cable (2x solar panel at Oasis 2002-1, Oasis 1601R-1) / 1pc Solar panel bracket / 1pc Extension tube / 1pc Ground spike / 1 set Fountain nozzles To protect the product, place all parts on a soft surface before assembly. -
Remove the protective film from the solar panel (if any).
-
Position the solar panel so that it receives direct sunlight. The fountain can not work if the solar panel is shaded. Adjust the solar panel angle to maximise the amount of solar energy collected. Connect the solar panel / pump / LED light to the
battery box (see item 5). Check whether the flow is fully open (or else promoted little or no water).
FROST
Frost can cause damage to the pump. In freezing the pump, pipes and water tank must be emptied, rinsed with clean water and stored dry.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTION
5.1 Join the bracket, tubes and ground spike together and then attach the
solar panel to the bracket. Slide the bracket into the bracket slot in the
backside of the solar panel.
The holding bracket holds the weight of the solar panel. The direction towards
the sunlight can be adjusted with the wingnut.
5.2 Place the pump in the pond or reservoir. Make sure, there is enough water
in the pond or reservoir. The pump need to be fully immersed in water. The
pump can be placed under water or float on the water surface.
Your choise will depend on the water depth and type of reservoir used. If the
water depth is shallow, we suggest the under water assembly. For deeper ponds
or reservoirs you will need to use the floating assembly.

OPERATION AND FUNCTION
6.1 Operation from battery box
- Continual use mode: Press button (power), indicator light (on) lit, pump will work continously until battery runs out of all power.
- Timer function mode: Press button (timer) lit, indicator light (2 hours) lit, pump will be on for 2 hours, off for 22 hours and will repeat this timing set every day at the same time. To select 3 hours or 4 hours, timer by pressing te button (timer) repeatedly until indicator light (3 hours) or (4 hours) lit. The pump will be on for 3 hours, off for 21 hours at 3 hours timer set, on for 4 hours, off for 20 hours at 4 hours timer set.
- Winter mode: Press button (winter), indicator light (pulse) lit, pump will be on for 20 seconds in every 60 seconds. We recommend to use this mode to extend battery life time in winter or in poor weather.
- Pump flow control: Press button (flow rate) repeatedly to adjust the pump flow rate (3 levels for selection).
- Low Battery: If you find the indicator light (low Bat.) blinking, that means battery power is low. The system will shut off the pump/LED light shortly to protect the battery. Now the (low Bat.) light will keep blinking, when battery power is low and the pump and LED light will not work until battery is recharged.
NOTE : Higher flow rate will cost more power and will reduce the battery life time.
6.2 Operation from remote control IMPORTANT!
You have to press the POWER button in battery box to switch on battery system
first, then you can select function by pressing button on the remote control.
- (ON): The Pump will be constantly on until battery runs out of all power.
- (2): The pump will stay on for 2 hours an then switch off for 22 hours and will repeat this timing set every day at the same time. For example: if you want to turn on every day at 5pm, you need to turn on the pump to 2 hours timer at 5pm. Pump will turn on every day at 5pm and turns off at 7pm.
- (3): The pump will stay on for 3 hours an then switch off for 21 hours and will repeat this timing set every day at the same time. For example: if you want to turn on every day at 5pm, you need to turn on the pump to 3 hours timer at 5pm. Pump will turn on every day at 5pm and turns off at 8pm.
- (4): The pump will stay on for 4 hours an then switch off for 20 hours and will repeat this timing set every day at the same time. For example: if you want to turn on every day at 5pm, you need to turn on the pump to 3 hours timer at 5pm. Pump will turn on every day at 5pm and turns off at 9pm.
PERFORMANCE OF THE PUMP
The performance of the pump depends on the orientation of the solar panels
towards the sun and their intensity. The max. Performance is achieved under
optimum conditions. A function in the shade or under cloudy skies can not be
guaranteed. The solar pond kits are designed primarily for use in the summer
months. However, the solar panel power should be enough even on days in spring
and autumn with excellent sunlight to operate. However, this can not be
guaranteed. For models with battery operation the unction of the solar pond
sets the charge state of the battery depends.
Depending on the pump version allows you to customize the delivery. If a
controller is available at the pump, as in the horizontal position is the max.
achieved delivery. In a vertical position only little or no water is pumped.
This model sets the flow rate at the control panel of the battery case.
BATTERY INFORMATION
After 12 to 18 months, you should replace the battery. For this purpose
unscrew the battery cover and replace the battery with a new (replacement
batteries available on request). Please note the limited implied warranty of 6
months.
Tools needed:
Medium sized Philips head screwdriver.
- Remove the srews from battery box
- Remove the lid and control panel from the battery box slightly.
- Disconnect the old battery from the control panel and remove it from the housing. Insert the new battery.
- Carry out the assembly in reverse order. IMPORTANT! It must be ensured that the battery cover is properly tightened and watertight.
With repeated charge and discharge cycles Lead-Acid and NiMh battery packs are less efficient (memory effect). This effect is much less pronounced, but still present in small mass in the Li-ion batteries used.
Through very short and frequent loading operations and many other operational influences batteries can age prematurely strong.
The batteries are therefore subject to a consumable and wearing part of a shortened warranty of 6 months.
If you find that the battery will be less efficient, the battery needs to be fully charged. These allow the unit for 2 to 3 days (pump should not be connected) standing in the sun in order to allow a maximum charge the battery or use a suitable externalcharger. We recommend to occasionally repeat this procedure to extend the battery life.
If after this recharging the battery still does not meet expectations, you should replace the batteries.
NOTE : The battery is supplied charged. If the state of charge, contrary to expectations, not be sufficient to charge the batteries for at least 8 hours to allow sufficient charging of the battery (so damage the battery to avoid overcharging, the pump must be connected).
