TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem | Suggested solution |
---|
Your Bluetooth device cannot find the “NORAUTO BT36044”
| • Check if the device is powered on (press button on the front panel);
• Check the power supply of your OBD II connector. It should give out 8-16V;
• Check if the car ignition is on;
• Try to turn off the ignition, remove the device from the socket and then re-insert it in, turn on the ignition;
• Try searching for a Bluetooth network using another smartphone, laptop, tablet, etc.
Device disconnects during operation
| • Make sure that during the operation of the device, high-power devices are not charged through the cigarette lighter;
• There are strong voltage surges in the car’s network, due to which the device cannot work stably;
• OBD II connector outputs a voltage of 8-16V.
The device cannot connect to the ECU (Engine Control Unit)
| • Perhaps the ECU installed on your car requires additional add- ons for correct connection, namely, entering the initialization code. The initialization code is written in most apps, as many of the programs have a ready-made list of codes for various car brands;
• Try some other apps. Different apps may use different protocols to communicate the device with the ECU;
• Make sure that only one scanner app is running at a time;
• Try reconnecting from step 1.
