OBTUR – Temporary restorative material

INDICATION:
OBTUR is a_ restorative material indicated for temporary closure of cavities, in uncompleted or emergency procedures in endodontics, preventing contamination.
DESCRIPTION:
OBTUR is a radiopaque ready-to-use material for temporary closure of cavities, which hardens quickly in the mouth in contact with saliva. It offers adhesion to the cavity walls and a satisfactory marginal sealing, being of utmost importance especially during endodontic procedures, when the dressing is performed and after root canal fillings. It prevents micro infiltration by organic fluids and bacteria from the oral environment and also the passage of intra-channel medications from the inside of the pulp chamber to the oral environment. Obtur is eugenol free and is available in versions with or without fluoride.
COMPOSITION:
Obtur: Zinc Oxide, Zinc Sulphate, Calcium Sulphate, Plaster, Iron Oxide,
Silicone Oijl, Flavouring Agent, Carbopol.
Obtur with Fluoride: Zinc Oxide, Zinc Sulphate, Calcium Sulphate, Plaster,
Iron Oxide, Silicone Oil, Flavouring Agent, Carbopol, Sodium Fluoride.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:
With the aid of a spatula, apply the desired quantity directly to the site to be applied. The place must be clean and dry avoiding the displacement of the dressing. After the application, perform the occlusal adjustment, removing the product excesses with the aid of a curette. The chemical curing time of the product (hardening) is 20 to 25 minutes, from the action of saliva or water.
WARNINGS:
Exclusive use of the surgeon-dentist.
The product is manufactured to be used only as stated in the instructions for
use. Separate use is the sole and exclusive responsibility of the professional
who uses it. Wait 2 hours to submit the product to chewing force. The maximum
time the product remains in the patient as a temporary dressing is 15 days. Do
not use the product out of date. Keep it out of reach of children. Single use
product, no reprocessing.
PRECAUTIONS:
Use PPE when handling the product, including gloves and goggles. It is
recommended that patients also wear protective glasses. In case. of accidental
contact of the product with eyes, wash immediately with plenty of water. In
case of irritation, seek medical advice. In case of allergic reactions, stop
using immediately. If necessary, seek medical advice.
Cover the pot immediately after use to prevent hardening of the product. Keep
the package hermetically sealed.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
The product is contraindicated for patients with hypersensitivity to any component of the formula.
ADVERSE EFFECT:
So far, no adverse effect to the use of the product has been evidenced.
STORAGE:
Store the product in a clean, dry place and in its original unopened packaging. Protect it from direct sunlight.
EXPIRATION DATE:
The expiration date on the packaging represents the maximum period of time for use of the product. Do not use after the expiration date.
DISPOSAL:
Do not reuse the product and dispose of it according to local legislation.
