Safety Instructions

Please, take time to read well the instruction sheet before the first use and keep them for a future use.
A misuse of the appliance can damage it or hurt the user. Assure that you use the appliance for the use for which it is designed. We refuse any responsibilities as for the damages by an incorrect use or a bad manipulation.

  1. Do not block the air inlet and outlet during operation.
  2. Do not use the unit in a dusty environment with poor air quality. This will shorten the life of the unit.
  3. Do not use this unit in high temperature, high humidity, dirty areas or near strong magnetic fields to avoid inaccurate readings or failure of the internal circuitry of the unit.
  4. To avoid electrical damage, do not expose this product to water or other liquids.
  5. Too low or too high an ambient temperature may cause equipment failure.
  6. This appliance may be used by children of at least 8 years of age and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience or knowledge, if they are properly supervised or if they have been given instructions on the safe use of the appliance and the risks involved have been understood.
  7. Children should not play with the appliance.
  8. Cleaning and maintenance by the user must not be carried out by unsupervised children.
  9. Do not charge after the device was water damaged.
  10. Use the provided USB cable only.
  11. Do not disassemble or reassemble the product.
  12. WARNING: For the purposes of charging, only use the detachable USB cable provided

How to install batteries AAA
In case of power cut, the batteries will take over.
Open the battery compartment of the product. Insert 3 AAA batteries, matching the correct polarity. Close the compartment.
Open the battery compartment of the sensor. Insert 2 AAA batteries, matching the polarities. Close the compartment.
Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix alkaline, standard, and/or rechargeable batteries.
Note : When the display unit is powered by battery only, the back light will be off to preserve the battery. Press the SNZ/LIGHT button to turn the back light on for 10 seconds.
Display Unit Placement
Place the display unit in a dry area free of dirt and dust. Display unit stands up on flat and stable surface.
Important Placement Guidelines
To ensure accurate temperature measurement, place the units out of direct sunlight and away from any heat sources or vents. The display unit and the outdoor sensor must be within 99ft (30m) of each other.
To maximize wireless range, place the units away from large metallic items, thick walls, metal surfaces or other objects that may limit wireless communication.
To prevent wireless interference, place both units at least 3ft (1 m) away from electronic devices (TV, computer, microwave, radio, etc).
Outdoor Sensor Placement
The sensor must be placed outside to observe outdoor conditions. The sensor is water resistant and designed for general outdoor use. However, to prevent damage, place the sensor in an area which is protected from the direct weather elements and direct sunshine. The best location is 4 to 8 feet above the ground with permanent shade and plenty of fresh air to circulate around the sensor.
Outdoor Sensor Function:
press and hold the “CH” button for 3 seconds, display unit will search for a radio signal (RF) from the outdoor sensor for 3 minutes The outdoor sensor signal strength will be showed on the display unit. If there are no bars or if bars are not showing at its maximum strength (4 bars) (3) try placing the outdoor sensor or the display unit elsewhere for better connection.
If the RF Signal is lost and do not reconnect, the outdoor temperature and humidity level  willbegin to flash after 1 hour of lost connection. If no connection was found after 2 hours only a dotted line ‘- – – ’ will be displayed in place of the temperature and humidity level.
To manually restart the RF registration, press and hold the “CH” button for 3 seconds. The display unit will now search for the RF signal for 3 minutes.

Use of the device

Insert the USB plug of the cable into the dedicated slot on your computer to use your weather station.
You can also the cable USB in the slot of adapter (not supplied), then connect it to power supply. Respect carefully the maximal loading tension mentioned on the device (5V) to not damage the product. Then plug the DC extremity of your cable in the dedicated slot at the back of the display (figure 1, n°27). The LCD lights up.

MAIN FUNCTIONS
  1. ‘SET’ buttons
    Press and hold ‘SET’ button for 3 seconds during normal mode to enter setting mode. You can setup the time format (12 or 24h) and then the time using up and down buttons (figure 1, button 22 & 23). See chapter 5 for more instructions.
    Press briefly ‘SET’ button to enter alarm mode. In alarm mode, press and hold ‘SET’ button to enter the setting mode of the alarm time. In the setting mode, the time blinks. You can set the hourand the minute using ‘UP’ and ‘DOWN’ button. See chapter 6 for more instruction.

  2. ‘CH’ button
    Press this button to select the communication channel (1,2,3 or scrolling mode) used with the outdoor sensor. You also have to setup the channel of the sensor directly on it, in the battery storage location. If you use multiple sensor, do not use the same channel for multiple sensor.
    In normal display mode, press and hold ‘CH’ button to search RF (see chapter outdoor sensor function).

  3. ‘ALERT’ button
    Press briefly the ALERT button to enter ‘alert mode’. Alert mode allow to see the defined max & min temperature (indoor & outdoor) and max & min humidity (indoor & outdoor) from which a warning pointwill be displayed on the screen of the main unit. Press and hold the ‘ALERT button’ to enter alert setting and setup the max & min temperature and humidity

  4. SNZ/LIGHT button:
    Press this button to light the screen for 10 seconds (when power is generated only through batteries).
    Press this button to adjust backlight (when power is generated only through USB cable). Press to activate the snooze function when the alarm is activated.

  5. Manually Setting the Time, Date & Units
    Press and hold down the “SET” button for 2 seconds. The 12/24 hour mode starts to flash. Use “UP” and “DOWN” buttons to set the correct 12/24 hour mode.
    Press “SET” button to confirm your setting. The hour starts to flash. Use “UP” or “DOWN” buttons to set the correct hour. Proceed in the same way to set the minutes, month, date & language. Press “SET” button to confirm your setting and to end the setting procedures.
    NOTE: You will automatically exit settings mode if no buttons are pressed for 20 seconds. Enter settings mode again at any time by pressing and holding the SET button for 2 seconds.

  6. Setting the Alarm
    Press ‘SET’ button to enter alarm mode. The programmed alarm time will be shown on the screen.
    Press and hold the ‘SET’ button for about 2 seconds to set the alarm time. The alarm hour will begin blinking on the screen. To adjust the alarm hour, press the “UP” or “DOWN” buttons.
    Proceed in the same way to set the minutes, then press the SET button again to exit alarm settings.
    When you’re setting the alarm, the alarm is turned on by default and the screen
    display the symbol .
    To turn the alarm ON or OFF, press briefly the SET button to enter alarm mode.
    Press the UP or DOWN button to turn on or off the alarm. The “ ” symbol should show next to the clock display when the alarm is on. Press the UP or DOWN button again to turn off the alarm. When the alarm is on, it will begin beeping with one short beep repeated every 2 seconds and continue with two short beeps every 2 seconds if the alarm rings longer than 20 seconds. You can snooze the alarm for 5 minutes by pressing the SNZ/LIGHT button.

  7. Indoor / outdoor temperature and humidity Indoor temperature :
    from -9.9°C up to 50°C (14.18°F ~ 122°F). ‘LL.L’ will be displayed when temperature is below -9.9°C and ‘HH.H’ when higher than 50°C. Outdoor temperature : from -40°C up to 70°C (-40°F ~ 158°F), ‘LL.L’ will bedisplayed when temperature is below -40°C and ‘HH.H’ when higher than 70°C.
    Indoor and outdoor humidity range : 20%-95%. When humidity is below 20%, ‘20%’ will be displayed on the screen. When higher than 95%, ‘95%’ will be displayed on the screen. When alarm ringing, temperature and humidity test will be stopped.

  8. Accuracy
    Temperature resolution: 0.1°C
    Humidity resolution: 1 %RH
    Temperature accuracy:
    -40°C ~ -20°C: ± 4°C
    -20°C ~ 0°C: ± 2°C
    0°C ~ +50°C: ±1°C
    Note: when the temperature is within 50°C to 70°C, the temperature is only for reference.
    Humidity accuracy :
    Accuracy of +/- 5% at 25°C and when humidity is between 30% and 60%.
    Accuracy of +/- 10% at a temperature of 25°C and when the humidity rate is between 20% and 29%, 61% and 95%.

  9. Temperature alert set
    In standard mode, press “ALERT” to enter alert mode, use “UP” or “DOWN” to turn on or off each temperature or humidity alert function. When the alert is on, the symbol is displayed on the screen.
    In standard mode, press and hold “ALERT” to set temperature & humidity alert function in the following order :
    a) outdoor temperature upper limit. b)outdoor temperature lower limit. c)outdoor humidity upper limit.
    d) outdoor humidity lower limit. e)indoor temperature upper limit. f) indoor temperature lower limit.
    g) indoor humidity upper limit h)indoor humidity lower limit i)exit. Press ‘SET’ button to valid each parameter defined and switch to the next one. In set, press “UP” to go ahead by once. Hold “UP” to go ahead at 8 steps per second.
    In set, press “DOWN” to back by once. Hold “DOWN” to go back at 8 steps per second.
    If you don’t push any button during 10 second, you will exit the setting menu.

  10. Temperature and humidity alert
    If you’ve activated temperature or humidity alert, the alert icon will flash and a sound will also be emitted when an alert is on.
    Press any button to stop the sound but the temperature and the alert icon will continue to flash.

  1. Setting the Temperature Units The default temperature unit is Celsius degrees (°C). To switch to Fahrenheit degree, press and hold the ‘SET’ button. You will see 12/24 hour mode flashing. Press repeatedly the ‘SET’ button to scroll through the other settings until you will see ‘°C’ flashing. Press UP or DOWN to switch from Celsius to Fahrenheit. Press SET to confirm your selection and exit.

  2. Checking the MAX/MIN temperature and humidity
    Press the “DOWN” button to check MAX & MIN temperature and humidity.
    Quickly press & hold the “DOWN” button again to clear the record of MAX/MIN temperature and humidity.

  3. Low Battery Indicator
    If the low battery indicator is displayed on the LCD for either the outdoor sensor or the display unit, immediately change the batteries to prevent disruptions in communications of the devices.

  4. Weather Forecast (Figure 2)
    Use of the device

    The device predicts weather condition of the next 12-24 hours only based on the change of temperature and humidity. At first, the device uses the information provided through channel 1. If no information is received through channel 1, the device will use indoor information to generate forecast.
    NOTE: The weather forecast is based on outdoor temperature and humidity change and is about 40- 45% correct.

  5. Moon Phase (Figure 3)
    Based on the setting date, the device will show the moon phase.

Cleaning and maintenance

Keep your device clean by cleaning it with a soft, dry cloth.  When you’re not using the device, remove the batteries and store the device in a dry and clean place.
