Installing and connecting the device
ATTENTION
Only operate and store the device and its water-carrying components in frost-
free indoor areas.
WARNING
Risk of material damage due to improper installation Damage to sink / worktop
and domestic plumbing as well as damage caused by leaking water.
Only install the device and its components yourself if you are capable of
doing so and have the necessary knowledge and tools.
If in doubt, have the device installed by a person with professional
knowledge.
After installation, be sure to check the tightness of the entire system.
- The water temperature and the water inlet pressure must correspond to the specified values, see chapter Technical data.
ATTENTION
For higher line pressures, always connect an external pressure reducer
upstream!
- Depending on local regulations, an approved backflow preventer must be installed.
- Place the device on a flat, horizontal surface with the base facing downwards.
- The front cover and the stop valve must be freely accessible.
- The distance to heat-radiating appliances such as under-sink boilers or uninsulated hot water pipes must be at least 100 mm.
- Only connect the device with the lines provided.
- Do not use lines that are used.
- Do not bend the lines and do not subject them to tension, torsion or compression.
- Do not place any objects on the lines.
Connection diagram
- Observe the connection diagram during installation: Illustration C
Checking and adjusting the water inlet pressure
- Check the water inlet pressure at the pressure reducer of the building’s drinking water installation.
Under no circumstances may it exceed the maximum value specified in the Chapter Technical data.
We recommend setting the water inlet pressure to 0.4 MPa (4 bar).
If there is no pressure reducer in the drinking water installation of the building, a separate pressure reducer must be connected upstream of the device.
If the value of the water inlet pressure cannot be determined in the drinking water installation of the building, a separate pressure reducer must be connected upstream of the device.
Installing the tap
-
Select the installation position so that the tap is accessible for installation from below and the opening of the outlet is above the sink.
Allow sufficient space for connecting the 1/4″ line. -
The material thickness A of the sink / worktop must not exceed 24 mm. If the material thickness is higher, the worktop can be provided with a corresponding countersink from below. If in doubt, have the device installed by a person with professional knowledge.
-
The upper and lower support surfaces must be flat and parallel, with a diameter B of at least 50 mm.
Installation diagram Illustration D
- Drill a hole with a diameter C of 12 mm for the installation of the tap. Use suitable drills or tools for the material of the sink / worktop. Pre-drill if necessary.
- Remove the protective film from the anchor plate.
- Fit the anchor plate and the sealing washer on the tap.
- Insert the tap into the hole from above and align it.
- Fit the washer from the bottom of the tap and tighten the wing nut.
Installing the stop valve
WARNING
Risk of damage due to excessive water temperature Water with a temperature
above 38° C irreversibly damages the filter cartridges. Only connect the stop
valve to the cold water inlet angle valve, never to a hot water inlet angle
valve.
Note
The corner valve for the cold water inlet is usually on the right, an optional
corner valve for the hot water inlet is usually on the left.
- Install the stop valve between the cold water inlet angle valve and the flexible hose.
