CASPR TECHNOLOGIES COMPACT Portable Air and Surface Purification System
Product Information
The CASPR Compact is a disinfection and protection unit designed to provide years of trouble-free operation. It utilizes CASPR technologies to circulate disinfecting oxidizing molecules in the air, ensuring a clean and safe environment. Some parts of the unit may need periodic replacement, which can be purchased from authorized distributors or directly from CASPR Technologies.
Product Usage Instructions
- Initial set up:
-
- Place the CASPR Compact unit 4-7 feet off the ground, allowing a minimum of 6 inches behind for proper airflow.
- Face the unit towards the center of the area to be protected.

- Plug the power cable into a standard wall outlet and connect the other end to the rear of the unit.

standard mode. To activate high mode:
Note: The unit comes with the ozone producing plate removed.
Away Mode:
The away mode is designed to produce a small amount of ozone when you are away
from the space. However, the unit’s ozone producing plate is removed, so the
away mode will not produce any ozone. It has the same effect as the standard
mode.
Additional Notes:
If the purification plate has been removed, the unit will always remain in
standard PCO/NCC mode regardless of the displayed mode on the screen. For any
questions or concerns, please contact your distributor or CASPR Technologies
directly.
Congratulations!
on your decision to protect the people you care about with CASPR.
Your COMPACT unit can provide years of trouble-free disinfection and
protection. Some parts of your CASPR COMPACT will need to be replaced
periodically. Replacement parts can be purchased from your authorized
distributor or directly from CASPR Technologies at
www.casprtech.com
Start here… Initial set up
-
For your most ideal effectiveness, place CASPR COMPACT unit 4-7 feet off the ground ensuring there is a minimum of 6 inches behind the unit to allow for proper airflow.
-
Face the unit towards the center of the area you are protecting.
-
Ideally, your placement of the unit would be across the room from an AC intake or return vent. (The vent the takes air OUT of your room and back up to the AC unit) This allows your normal air flow to circulate the disinfecting oxidizing molecules across the entire room. Best practice would be to NOT place your unit directly under or next to the intake or return air vent.
-
Plug the power cable into any standard wall outlet and plug the other end of the power cable into the rear of the COMPACT unit.
-
Insert the battery inside the remote control.
-
Power on the unit by either using the remote control or manually pushing the power button on the left side of the display screen.
-
STANDARD MODE: You will know your unit is running in standard mode when the display screen is lit up and you see either PCO or NCC (depending on what date you purchased your unit) This is your standard 24/7 mode for occupied rooms. Fan speed can be set higher or lower by the up or down arrows on the unit or remote control.
-
HIGH MODE: Your unit has the ozone producing plate removed prior to shipping. This mode will not produce any ozone.
-
The High Mode on your unit will have the exact same effect as your Standard Mode.
Note: When the purification plate has been removed your unit will remain in Standard PCO/NCC Mode regardless of what mode is displayed on screen and can always be used in occupied spaces. Any questions please contact your distributor or the CASPR company directly. -
AWAY MODE: The Away Mode was designed to produce a small amount of ozone and to be used when you are AWAY from the space. HOWEVER, your unit has the ozone producing plate removed. This Away mode will therefore not produce any ozone.
-
The Away Mode on your unit will have the exact same effect as your Standard Mode.
-
Since your unit has the ozone producing plates removed, ANY mode your unit is one will be in effect the same as the Standard Mode.
Warnings
Review this list before using or performing any maintenance or cleaning of
your unit.
WARNING: Never operate unit near a heat source, open flame or
flammable/combustible fluids.
- Do not operate unit unless all parts (including Cell, Purification Plate, Rear Filter Assembly and Rear Cover) are properly installed.
CAUTION: Directly viewing the lamp inside unit for an extended period may result in eye damage.
- Unit should be powered OFF and Power Cord should be disconnected when Cleaning/Disassembling/ Reassembling/Servicing.

Additional Information
- Each CASPR COMPACT can effectively treat 1,500 sq feet of space, if there is air circulation in the space. Ensure doors remain open in rooms you are trying to disinfect.
- Best practice is to face your COMPACT unit towards the largest open space you are disinfecting so it can efficiently process and circulate the air in the area. Unlike the friendly ghosts, CASPR cannot penetrate or go through walls.
- Never place an operating unit on the floor unless you are specifically trying to disinfect an area on the floor. The goal is to disinfect and circulate the air you breathe which is obviously in the space 4-8 feet above the floor.
- Your CASPR COMPACT comes with a remote control, and one CR2025 battery, for easier operation when the unit is placed in a location that is not easily accessible to manually pushing the buttons.
Routine Maintenance
Good news…You have very little maintenance with your new CASPR unit. Every
60-90 days check to see if you need to clean or dust the front grill. If the
front grill is dusty, it is likely that the rear Filter Assembly is also
needing to be cleaned. A vacuum, compressed air or a small clean dry paint
brush all work well to remove dust.
This is a WASHABLE and REUSABLE filter. In a high dust environment, you may
need to clean the filter monthly. In a very low dust environment, you might
clean it every 90 days or so. The NCC CELL should be replaced once every two
years.
Removing and Cleaning the Filter Assembly
- Turn off the unit by pressing the Power button.
- Unplug the unit from the power source and then remove the power cord from the back of the unit.
- Unscrew and remove the Rear Cover screw located above the Power Cord Port on the rear of the unit. If your unit does not have a screw, then move to the next step.
- Place one hand on the right and left side of the Rear Cover, slide the rear cover upwards and lift it away from the machine.
- Wipe the rear cover with a damp cloth and set it to the side.
- Grasp the sides of the filter, lift slightly, and pull the filter away from the unit.
- Typically, you should only need to vacuum (brush attachment works best) the dirt from the filter. If the filter is still dirty internally once your have tried vacuuming and brushing, you should thoroughly rinse the filter with warm water. Always shake excess water from the filter and LET IT DRY completely before reattaching the filter to the rear of the unit.
Reattaching the Filter
- Gently lay the filter back onto the machine with the diamond pattern facing the rear of the unit and the honeycomb pattern facing the front of the unit.
- Replace the Rear Cover by sliding it from the top of the unit towards the bottom to secure the filter in place. You will know it is in place when you hear a “Click”
- Replace and gently tighten the screw on the Rear Cover if your unit has a screw, and plug the unit back into the power source. You are good to go!
Replacing the NCC Cell (every 2 years)
- Turn off the unit by pressing the Power button.
- Unplug the unit from the power source and then remove the power cord from the back of the unit.
- Unscrew and remove the Rear Cover screw located above the Power Cord Port on the rear of the unit.
- Place one hand on the right and left side of the Cover, slide the rear cover upwards towards the top of the unit and lift it away.
- Remove the filter assembly.
- Unscrew the cell nuts.
- Un plug the cell power cable.
- Pull the NCC cell away from the unit and attach the new NCC cell.
- Reinsert the two screws to secure the new cells. assembly.
- Reconnect the new power cable.
- Replace the Rear Cover by sliding it from the top of the unit towards the bottom to secure the filter in place. You will know it is in place when you hear a “Click”
- Replace and gently tighten the screw on the Rear Cover and plug the unit back into the power source. Do not overtighten. You are good to go!
Removing and Cleaning the Front Grille
- Locate the Front Grille Screw on the front of the machine above the CASPR logo.
- Using your screwdriver, carefully remove the Front Grille Screw and place the screw where you will easily find it later.
- Remove the Front Grille by pushing up from the bottom of the Front Grille with your fingers. Be careful to ensure the Ionization Needle (in the top center of the front of the unit) is not damaged.
- Clean the Front Grille using (compressed air, vacuum cleaner, damp cloth or warm soapy water) and set the Front Grille aside.
- If the Ionization Needle is visibly dusty, gently clean it with a cotton swab and clear alcohol-based cleaner or rubbing alcohol.
Reattaching the Front Grille
- Align the Front Grille to the front of the unit, being careful not to damage the Ionization Needle at the top center of the unit.
- Insert and gently tighten the screw.
- You are good to go!
Troubleshooting
Has your unit failed to turn on?
- Verify that the Power Plug is plugged into an operational wall outlet.
- Ensure that the Power Cord is fully inserted (leaving less than an 1/8”) to the Power Adapter.
- Ensure that the Power Adapter Plug is fully seated in the round Power Cord Port on the back of the unit. Remove and reinstall to verify.
- Verify the Power Button has been activated on the Control Panel.
- If the Power Button on the Control Panel fails, try using the Power Button on your Remote Control. If the Control Panel fails, contact your distributor or CASPR Technologies (www.casprtech.com).
- If none of the above items resolve the issue you may need to contact your distributor or CASPR technologies and request a new purification plate.
Note: Your unit does not include purification plates. These versions will remain in Normal PCO/NCC Mode regardless of what mode is displayed on screen. If you don’t have a purification plate in your unit then it cannot produce ozone in any mode.
The Cell Does Not Light Up
- Ensure the Cell Power Connector is properly seated in the Cell Power Connector Outlet.
- Follow the instructions for removing the Rear Cover and Filter Assembly.
- Check to see if the Cell Power Connector is properly inserted in the Cell Power Connector Outlet. To ensure the proper connection, gently push until the tabs at the top and bottom of the Cell Power Connector snap into place, securing it to the Cell Power Connector Outlet.
- If the Cell still fails to operate, it needs to be replaced. Contact your distributor or CASPR (www.casprtech.com).
