Product Usage Instructions
The 20A Power Supply Redundancy Module can be used in various
configurations to enhance the reliability of the power supply system. Here are
some typical application notes:
Redundancy Using 1 more PSU as the redundant unit
In this configuration, you can connect an additional power supply unit (PSU)
as a redundant unit to the DR-RDN20 module. The DR-RDN20 module will monitor
the inputs from both PSUs and ensure
continuous power supply in case one PSU fails.
Redundancy: Using more PSUs as redundant units to increase reliability In
this configuration, you can connect multiple PSUs as redundant units to the
DR-RDN20 module. This setup increases the
reliability of the power supply system by providing backup power from multiple
sources.
Single Use: Connecting only one PSU to one DR-RDN20 to reduce stress and increase reliability In this configuration, you can connect a single PSU to one DR-RDN20 module. This setup reduces the stress on the diodes and improves the overall reliability of the power supply system. Please refer to the product manual for detailed instructions on connecting and configuring the 20A Power Supply Redundancy Module in your specific application.

The power supply is considered a component that will be installed into the final equipment. All the MC tests are been executed by mounting the unit on a 360mm 360mm metal plate with 1mm of thickness. The final equipment must be re-confirmed that it still meets MC directives. For guidance on how to
To perform these MC tests, please refer to “EMI testing of component power supplies.” (as available on http://www.meanwell.com) -
The ambient temperature derating of 3.5°C/1000m with fanless models and of 5°C/1000m with fan models for operating altitude higher than 2000m(6500ft Product Liability Disclaimer: For detailed information. Please refer to www.meanwell.com/serviceDisclaimer.aspx
