CHARGING HAZARDS

The symbols shown below are used throughout this manual to call attention to and identify possible hazards. When you see the symbol, watch out, and follow the related instructions to avoid the hazard. The safety information given below is only a summary of the more complete safety information found in the Safety Standards. Read and follow all Safety Standards.
Only qualified persons should repair this unit.
During operation, keep everybody, especially children, away.The charger is not suitable for children or people who can’t read and understand the safety.

SymbolELECTRIC SHOCK can kill.

Touching live electrical parts can cause fatal shocks.The input power circuit and charger internal circuits are live when power is on.

Do not touch live electrical parts.

  • Wear dry, hole-free insulating gloves and body protection.
  • Disconnect input power before servicing this charger.
  • Frequently inspect input power cord for damage or bare wiring-replace cord immediately if damaged – bare wiring can kill.
  • Turn off power supply when not in use.
  • Do not use worn, damaged, or poorly spliced cables.
  • Do not drape cables over your body.
  • Check the cables for damage before you use it.
  • Turn Off power supply of the charger, disconnect input power according to instructions in
    Maintenance Section before touching any parts.

CHARGING can cause fire.

Hot parts can cause fires and burns. Check and be sure the area is safe before doing any charging.

  • Remove all flammables within 5m of the charging.
  • Watch for fire, and keep a fire extinguisher nearby.
  • Connect work cable to the battery as close to the charging area as practical to prevent charging current from traveling long, possibly unknown paths and causing electric shock and fire hazards.
  • Never charge a damaged battery.
  • Don’t put the charger on the battery during charging.
  • Don’t cover the battery charger.
  • Only charge in well vented areas.
  • Don’t cover the battery charger.
  • Battery acid can harm you, if you should have contact with battery acid go immediately to a doctor.
  • There could be explosive gas during charging, you have to avoid sparks.
    WARNING : Explosive gases. Prevent flames and sparks.

Symbol HOT PARTS can cause severe burns.
Do not touch hot parts bare hand.

MAGNETIC FIELDS can affect pacemakers.

  • Pacemaker wearers keep away.
  • Wearers should consult their doctor before going near battery charging operations.

SECTION 2 – CONNECTION AND OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

  • Chargers are suitable for 6V and 12V lead-acid, GEL and AGM batteries.
  • Don’t use it for anything else.
  • Chargers are Constant Current (DC) charging power source.
  • Charger is single phase, 230V,it is designed for 6V and 12 V batteries charging. 4 A charging current for 12V/14Ah~140Ah batteries charging. 2A charging current for 6V/14Ah~140Ah batteries charging.

CONNECTION

  • Make sure that your line voltage is single Phase, 230V, 50Hz.
  • Connect the Positive pole of battery to Output (+) (red) of the charger.
  • Connect the Negative pole of battery to Output (-) (black) of the charger.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

  • The LCD display gives you the most important informations.
    Operating Instruction

  • There are several charging mode. It can be used as charging mode 12V STD for 12V lead acid and batteries,12 VAGM for 12VAGM batteries, as well as 6V STD for 6V lead acid and GEL batteries. Every mode can be changed into winter mode , when you push the mode button another time the snow flake icon appears and the winter mode is on and you can charge batteries in low temperatures.

  • The voltage meter shows the current charging voltage and the battery symbol the current charging status .

  • There are three icons for malfunctions.

  • Icon left corner shows wrong polarity please change the connection of the clamps.

  • Icon in the middle shows defect battery , please let the battery be tested by a mechanic and if necessary change the battery.

  • Icon right corner shows bad connection please check the connection between the charger and the battery.

CHARGING

  1. Connect the charger to the battery.Connect the Positive pole of battery to Output(+) (red clamp) of the charger. Connect the Negative pole of battery to Output(-) (black clamp) of the charger.
  2. Connect the charger to 230V socke.
  3. Push the mode button to choose the charging mode according to your battery needs.
  4. The charging will automatically start after a few seconds.
