USE & CARE
- Gently clean the system’s outer surface using a damp cloth.
- Refrain from employing harsh or abrasive cleaning agents or solvent-based cleaners.
IMPORTANT PRECAUTIONS
- Carefully review all precautions and instructions before initiating use.
- Install the filter solely on COLD water lines that operate within the temperature range of 35°F to 104°F.
- Position the water filter in an area where the line pressure remains below 250 psi. The ideal operating pressure range is between 40 psi and 125 psi.
- For optimal performance, install the system indoors, away from direct sunlight. Shield the unit from both direct sunlight and freezing temperatures.
- To prevent screws from extending beyond the cabinet width, be cautious when mounting the unit on a cabinet wall adjacent to a dishwasher.
- Avoid using the water filter with water that poses a microbiological hazard or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection prior to or after the system.
- If the water contains sediment, a filter change may be required sooner than the recommended 500 gallons or 6 months.
- Donot operate the system without the filter cartridge installed.
- Comply with all applicable state and local regulations regarding water filter usage.

CONNECT GUIDE
POINTERS FOR USING QUICK-CONNECT FITTINGS:
A The endis of the provided tubing have arrows indicating how far to
insert the tubing into the fitting to ensure a solid and leak free connection.
B The tube is full inserted into the fitting when the points of the
arrows align with the locking sleeve on the fiting. Ifthere is space between
the arrow points and the fiting the tube Is not fully seated. After the tube
bottoms outin the fitting gently pull on the tube to ensure it locked In
place.
CUTTING THE TUBE:
If the tube needs to be shortened, ensure neat, square edge by trimming the
end with a utility knife.
If the tube needed to be shortened, follow the steps below to ensure a solid
connection:
- Measure 3/4° from the tube’s end and mark using a permanent marker.
- The tube is fully inserted into the fitting when the line from step | meets the locking sleeve on the fitting. I there is space between the line and the fiting the After e s not fully seat the tube bottoms out in the fitting gently pull on the tube to ensure itis locked in place.
DISCONNECTING TIPS:
- Push down the “Lock Sleeve” using two fingers.
- Remove the tube by pulling it awy from the fitting while holding the lock sleeve in place.
SETUP TIME
A First, position the fiter head above the cartridge (without securing it
fully) to help identify the best mounting location under the sink.
B To facilitate hassle-free cartridge replacement, ensure aclearance of
at least three (3) inches from the base of the filter, or nine (8) inches to
ensure space for future fiiter upgrades. The system head must be installed
within three (3) feet of the cold water supply line.
MOUNT FILTER HEAD
A Position the filter head in the desired location and
mark the two mounting holes with a pencil.
B If mounting to a wood cabinet, disregard the plastic anchors and use a
7/64-inch or a 3/32-inch dil bit tocreate holes for the screws. For drywall or
masonry applications use a7/32-inch drill bit to create holes for the plastic
anchors. Gently tap the anchors into the dilled holes using a hammer.
C Use a Phillips head screwdriver to secure the system head in place with
the provided screws.
D Connect the filter cartridge to the head by twisting it to the right
until t snaps into place and there is no gap between the filter cartridge and
the head.
WATERLINES
A Using an adjustable wrench, completely turn off and detach the cold
water supply line from the existing connection. Follow the instructions in the
critical note on the next page to attach the dual port adapter to the shutoff
valve. Then reconnect the cold water line to the dual port adapter.
B Connect the 3/8” gray tubing to the gray port of the dual port adapter.
Run the opposite end of the gray tubing to the gray port of the filter head
(marked “IN”), cut to length if needed, and push the gray tubing into the gray
inlet following the guidelines in the POINTERS FOR USING QUICK-CONNECT
FITTINGS section of this guide.
C Using the white 3/8″ tubing, connect one end to the white port of the
dual port adapter and run it to the white port of the filter head (marked
OUT’), cut to length if needed, and push the white tubing into the white
outlet following the guidelines in the POINTERS FOR USING QUICK-CONNECT
FITTINGS section of this guide.
CRITICAL! NOTE ABOUT INSTALLING
THE DUAL PORT ADAPTER
- CAUTION: Avoid excessive tightening ofthe dual port adapter,as it could lead! towater flow restriction.
- Make sure the threads are aligned before tightening. Cross threading can cause leaks.
A ATTACHING DUAL PORT ADAPTER
Use the following pointers:
CHECK – Make sure that the threads on your cold water valve are clean and
free of any debris. Wipe with clean towel if needed.
CLICK – Position the female threads of the loop adapter aligning the
fitting vertically over the threads of the.
cold water valve. Slowly turn the adapter counterclockwise to align the
threads of the fitting with the valve. When the threads are aligned a slight
click will be felt indicating proper thread orientation. The fitting can now
be tightened onto the valve by rotating in a clockwise direction.
HAND TIGHTEN FIRST – Begin by hand-tightening to ensure ‘smooth threading
If it s not threading smoothly, back it out and try again. Once itis hand-
threading smoothly, it can be further tightened with a wrench.
CRITICAL!
NOTE ABOUT QUICK
CONNECT FITTNGS
It’s important to follow the guidelines in the POINTERS FOR USING QUICK-
CONNECT FITTINGS section of this guide when installing the tube into the
fittings on the dual port adapter and the filter head. Failure to follow the
recommendations could result in leaks.
FLUSH
A Turn on the cold water at the kitchen faucet.
B With the faucet open, gradually open the cold water shutoff valve to
allow water to flow through the system.
C Let the water run for 20 minutes to flush the system and eliminate any
small carbon particles. It’s normal for the water to be cloudy and have black
specs during flushing.
D IMPORTANT: Do not consume the flushed water.
E During the flushing process check for leaks at each connection point.
F Feel around each connection point to make sure each junction is dry and
leak free. If a leak is found, repeat the above steps as needed.
G After flushing is complete, turn off the faucet and verify one final
time that there are no leaks in the system.
Filter Replacements
A Turn off the COLD water source located beneath the sink.
B Use a towel to catch any drips or spills.
C Remove the existing filter cartridge from the filter head by rotating
the filter counterclockwise until it disengages. Then pull downward and
discard it.
D To attach the new filter to the system, align the connection points and
twist the filter clockwise until it locks into position.
E Once the filter is firmly secured, open the COLD water supply to pressurize
the system. Inspect for any potential leaks.
F Open the COLD water at the kitchen faucet and let water circulate
through the system for 20 minutes. After flushing the system, turn off the
kitchen faucet.
G IMPORTANT: Refrain from consuming the flushed water.
