Product Information

The PORTO LED garage light is designed to provide high-output lighting for garages and other indoor spaces. It is available in multiple wattage options, including 30W, 42W, 55W, 70W, 80W, and 105W models. The light is IP66 rated, making it protected against dust and water ingress. The 30W, 42W, 55W, and 105W models are DLC listed, while the 70W and 80W models are DLC Premium listed. The light has a long lifespan of 100,000 hours based on IES LM-80 results and TM-21 calculations. It is suitable for wet locations and comes with surge protection of 4kV.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Determine the appropriate wattage of the PORTO LED garage light based on the ceiling height. Use the 30W, 42W, or 55W models for standard 8-10′ ceilings. Use the higher wattage models (70W, 80W, or 105W) for higher ceilings (over ramps).
  2. Choose the desired color temperature (5000K, 4000K, or 3000K) based on your preference and lighting requirements.
  3. Install the PORTO LED garage light at the desired location. Ensure that it is mounted securely and properly aligned.
  4. Connect the light to a compatible power source. The driver supports a wide voltage range (100 – 277V and 480V) and operates at a frequency of 50/60 Hz.
  5. Verify that the surge protection is in place (4kV) to safeguard the light against power surges.
  6. Adjust the light’s output by considering the mounting height multiplier provided in the user manual. Use the grid scales to determine the footcandle values at different distances from the light.

  • IESNA LM-79 & LM-80 Testing: RAB LED luminaires have been tested in accordance with IESNA LM-79 and LM-80, and have received the Depart-ment of Energy “Lighting Facts” label.

  • California Title 24: PORTO models with integrated multi-level motion sensor comply with 2013 California Title 24 building and electrical codes covered parking garages.

HOW TO USE

  • Hinged tether frees hands for easy wiring & quick installation.
  • One model accomodates 1/2” or 3/4” NPS pendant, or surface mount (pendant by others).
  • Delivers 20% uplight, eliminating the ‘cave effect’ that results when ceilings remain darkened.

Integrated photo/motion sensor control

  • High/low modes: 10V / 1V
  • Time delay dims light 5 minutes after detecting motion
  • Cutoff turns fixture off after 1 hour of vacancy
  • Detection pattern:
    • For 14″ PORTO – 360° and 48′ diameter at 8′ mounting height
    • For 18″ PORTO – 360° and 40′ diameter at 20′ mounting height

Adjust settings using handheld wireless configuration tool (Order using catalog #WSREM)

  • High/low modes fully adjustable from 0 to 10V
  • Time delay can be set to dim lights 30 seconds to 30 minutes after motion is no longer detected
  • Optional cutoff delay turns fixture off after a preset period of vacancy
  • Configure control settings to react to ambient light levels
  • Ramp up and fade down times can be customized

18” PORTOs with higher wattages can be used where higher ceilings exist (over ramps) while 14” PORTOs are suitable for standard 8-10’ ceilings.
