General information

These operating instructions accompany this LED Hand Mask ND-FM05 (referred to below only as the “product”). It contains important information about start-up and handling. Before using the product, please read through the operating instructions carefully. This particularly applies to the safety instructions. You can also find these operating instructions in PDF format on our website www.silkn.eu.

Explanation of symbols

The following symbols and signal words are used in this user manual, on the product or packaging.

Intended use

This product is intended to recover your skin’s glow and elasticity. It also enhances skin metabolism, promotes anti-ageing effects, reduces inflammation and battles inflammation, acne, age spots and wrinkles. The product can be used on oily, dull and inflamed skin, but is also suitable for skin with pigmentation and large pores. This device is intended for household use only, not for commercial applications.

Safety

Only use the product as described in these operating instructions. Any other use is considered improper and may result in damage to property or persons. The manufacturer or vendor cannot be held liable for damages or injury incurred through improper or incorrect use. Before first use, please check if the product is complete. If there is any omission or if the product is not working properly, please contact customer service.
Safety instructions

• This device, including all its parts, must not be used by the following people: children, adults with limited physical, sensory or psychological capacities, those lacking experience or knowledge in how to use the device in a safe way, or those who do not understand the hazards involved.
• Children must not play with the product. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed by unsupervised children.
• Before treating an area for the first time, perform a skin sensitivity test by placing the product on one of your arms. If you have no adverse reaction, start your treatment.
• Only use the included USB cable to charge the remote control. It cannot be used for other purposes. Connect the USB cable to a compatible USB power source that is easily accessible so that you can quickly disconnect it if something goes wrong.
• If the product is damaged in any way, stop using it. Contact our customer service for replacement or repair to avoid risk. Liability and warranty claims are waived in the event of repairs performed by the user, improper connection or incorrect operation.
• Do not use the product while charging.
• Keep the product and USB cable away from water or any other liquids. They are not waterproof.
• Never touch the product or USB cable with wet or damp hands.
• Stop using the product immediately if you feel any discomfort, develop any abnormal reactions (such as itching or uncomfortable inflammation) or in case your skin becomes warm to the point of discomfort.
• This product cannot be used by pregnant women, children, people with epilepsy, thyroid patients, people using thyroid medications, people who are photoallergic or use light allergy medication.
• This product cannot be used on skin diseases, wound ulceration, trauma and post-operative wounds.
• Don’t use the product for more than 15 minutes per treatment.
• Consult your physician if you are uncertain whether or not you can use the product.

Charging
When the battery is low, the indicator light on the remote control will flash and the product will automatically shut down after flashing 10 times.

1. Connect the remote control 3 to the mask 1 .
2. Plug the USB cable 6 into the charging port of the remote control.
3. Plug the other end of the USB cable 6 into a compatible USB power source. One to three indicator light(s) on the remote control 3 will light up. When charging is complete, all four indicator lights are lit.

Assembling

1. Fasten the elastic strap 2 to the mask 1 .

Operation

1. Assemble the product as described in Chapter “Assembling”.

2. Thoroughly clean and dry the hands. Make sure they are free from any dirt.

3. Sit or lie down and place the mask 1 on your hand. Adjust the elastic strap 2 to ensure the mask fits comfortably.

4. Turn on the device and select the desired mode. The product has two modes. In the Manual Mode a preferred treatment can be selected: Red, Blue, Yellow or Purple LED light therapy. One treatment takes 10 minutes. In the Automatic Mode a preferred treatment cannot be selected. The product is activated in the following order: Red (5 min.), Blue (3 min.), Yellow (4 min.) and Purple (3 min.) LED light therapy.
   Manual Mode:
   • Take the remote control 3 and short press the power button 4 to turn on the device. It will enter into the Manual Mode with Red LED light therapy by default.
   • Short press the power button 4 again to switch to the Blue LED light therapy.
   • Short press the power button 4 a third time to switch to the Yellow LED light therapy.
   • Short press the power button 4 a fourth time to switch to the Purple LED light therapy.
   • Short press the power button 4 a fifth time to turn off the product. In addition, if you want to turn off the product during your treatment, you can also long press the power button 4 .
   Automatic Mode:
   •  Take the remote control 3 and short press the power button 4 to turn on the device. It will enter into the Manual Mode with Red LED light therapy by default.
   • Short press the Auto/Manual button 5 to switch to the Automatic Mode.
   Don’t use the product for more than 15 minutes per treatment.

5. Apply a cream after treatment.

Treatment programme
If you are using the product for the first time, please stick to the following schedule:

• First week: use once every 3 days, max. 10 minutes at a time.
• Second week: use once every 2 days, max. 10 minutes at a time.
• Third week: use once every 2 days, max. 10 minutes at a time.
• Fourth week: use once every day, max. 10 minutes at a time.
  Treat your skin once or twice per week as soon as the results show.

Cleaning

Make sure to unplug the product before you clean it. Then, clean the silicone side of the mask with a water based wipe or damp clean cloth. Make sure to dry it afterwards with a dry cloth.

Storage

After cleaning, we recommend you to store the product in its original box. Store the product in a cool dry place.

Disposal

Disposing of the packaging
Sort the packaging before you dispose of it. Dispose of paperboard and cardboard with the recycled paper service and wrappings with the appropriate collection service.

Disposing of the product
(Applicable in the European Union and other European countries with separate collection systems of recyclable materials)
Old appliances may not be disposed of in the household waste!
Should the product no longer be capable of being used at some point in time, dispose of it in accordance with the regulations in force in your city or county.
This ensures that old appliances are recycled in a professional manner and also rules out negative consequences for the environment. For this reason, electrical equipment is marked with the symbol shown here.

Batteries and rechargeable batteries may not be disposed of with household waste!
As the end user you are required by law to bring all batteries and rechargeable batteries, regardless whether they contain harmful substances* or not, to a collection point run by the communal authority or to a retailer, so that they can be disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner. Bring the entire product (including the rechargeable battery) to your collection point and make sure that it is in an uncharged state!

Warranty

This product is covered by a 2-year warranty according to European regulations and law. The extent of the warranty on this product is limited to technical defects caused by faulty production processes. In the event you want to claim warranty please be sure to contact our customer service for instructions. They may be able to solve your problem without needing to return the product to the store or our service centre. Our customer service is always pleased to help you!
