Reading and storing the user manual

This user manual accompanies this ReVit Prestige (hereafter referred to as the “device”), and contains important information on setup and handling. Before using the device, read the user manual carefully.

This particularly applies to the safety instructions. Failure to do so may result in personal injury or damage to the device.
The user manual is based on the standards and rules in force in the European Union. When abroad, you must also observe country-specific guidelines and laws. Store the user manual for further use. Make sure to include this user manual when passing the device on to third parties.

The device is exclusively designed to exfoliate your skin, stimulate the growth of healthy new cells and stimulate blood circulation in the skin for a smoother and fresher complexion. It is only intended for private household use and not suitable for commercial purposes. Only use the device as described in this user manual. Any other use is considered improper and may result in damage to property or persons. The manufacturer or vendor cannot be held liable for damages or injury incurred through improper or incorrect use.

Safety instructions

WARNING! RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!

  • Only connect the device if the line voltage of the socket corresponds to the data on the USB adapter.

  • Only connect the USB adapter to an easily EN-accessible socket so that you can quickly disconnect it from the mains supply in the event of a problem.

  • Only use the device with the enclosed parts.

  • Do not use the device if it is damaged
    or if the charging cradle, USB adapter or the USB cable is defective. Contact the manufacturer or customer service for replacement or repair to avoid risks.

  • Do not open the housing; instead, have a qualified professional perform repairs. Contact our customer service for this. Liability and warranty claims are waived in the event of repairs performed by the user, improper connection or incorrect operation.

  • Only parts that comply with the original device data may be used for repairs. This device contains electrical and mechanical parts which are essential for providing protection against sources of danger.

  • Do not use attachments not specified by the manufacturer.

  • Do not use the device while showering or bathing. Do not place the device such that there is a risk of it falling into a tub or sink.

  • Do not immerse the device or any of the parts in water or other liquids.

  • Never reach to retrieve an electrical device if it has fallen in water. In such a case, immediately disconnect the USB adapter.

  • Never insert any objects into the housing.

  • Always switch the device off and pull the USB adapter out of the socket when you are not using it, when you are replacing the parts, when you intend to clean it or in the event of a malfunction.

  • Never touch the USB adapter or USB cable with wet or damp hands.

  • Keep the device and all parts away from open flames and hot surfaces.
    Lay the USB cable so that it does not pose a tripping hazard.

  • Do not kink the USB cable and do not lay it over sharp edges.

  • Only use the device indoors.

Children must not play with the device. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed by unsupervised children.
  • Keep the device and all parts away from children. Small parts may cause choking if swallowed or inhaled.
  • Make sure that children do not play with the plastic wrapping. They may get caught in it when playing and suffocate.

  • Do not use the device on the eye lid, inside the eye orbit, around areas that contain inflammatory acne, or areas that have rashes or wounds.

  • Do not focus the device on one spot on your skin or pass the device over the same area more than 3 times.

  • Never leave the device unattended while it is in operation.

  • Stop using the device immediately if you develop any abnormal reactions such as itching, uncomfortable inflammation, or scratches.
    Consult your doctor before using the device if…

  • you suffer from allergies, skin irritation or skin diseases, you are pregnant,

  • you are not sure whether the device is suitable for you.

NOTICE! RISK OF DAMAGE!

  • Place the device on an easily accessible, level, dry and sufficiently stable surface. Do not place the device on the edge of the surface.
  • Handle with care. Dropping the device may damage the housing or motor.
  • Keep a filter in place at all times to prevent foreign substances from entering the motor.
  • Stop using the device if any parts exhibit cracks or breaks or are deformed. Only replace damaged parts with corresponding original spare parts.
  • Do not place or store the device in damp areas or rooms.

 Checking the device and package contents

NOTICE! RISK OF DAMAGE!

  • If you are not cautious when opening the packaging with a sharp knife or other pointed object, you may quickly damage the device. Be very careful when opening it.
  1. Take all parts out of the packaging.
  2. Check to make sure that the delivery is complete (see Fig. A).
  3. Check whether the device or individual parts are damaged. If this is the case, do not use the device. Contact our customer service.

Charging

WARNING! RISK OF INJURY!

  • Do not charge when the device is in use or if it is wet. Make sure it is dry before charging.
  • Only charge the device with the enclosed charging cradle, USB adapter and USB cable.
  • Charge the device at temperatures between 0 and 40 °C.
  • Always unplug the device after charging has EN been completed.
  • It takes about 3 hours to fully charge the device. When the charging process is completed, the LCD display shows the charging status as full.
  1. Option 1 (via mains supply)
  2. Place device 1 onto the charging cradle 7 by fitting the hole in its bottom to the pin of the charging cradle.
  3. Connect the USB cable 13 to the charging cradle and connect its USB connector to the USB adapter 12 .
  4. Plug the USB adapter into a mains socket.
  5. Option 2 (via USB port):
  6. Connect the USB cable 13 to the charging cradle 7 with the device properly installed.
  7. Connect its USB connector to a compatible USB power source.

Operation

  • Clean all parts of the device before first use as described in the chapter “Cleaning and maintenance”.
  • Make sure the filter, O-ring and the desired tip have been installed properly before use.
  • Before treating an area for the first time, perform a skin sensitivity test on a spot. If you have no adverse reaction, start your treatment.
  • Always start on the lowest suction level and stroke no more than 2 times over each area for your first treatment, or until you have determined your ideal treatment setting.
  • Do not use additional treatment products such as oils or ointments.
  • The device will switch itself off after 9 minutes of continuous operation. It is recommended not to perform a facial treatment for more than 4 minutes.
  • When the power level is low, the device will alert with 2 beeps every 30 seconds and the battery symbol on the LCD display will blink. Refer to the chapter “Charging” to charge the device.

Treatment tips

  • Use the device a maximum 2 times a week. Treat your face for a maximum 4 minutes per treatment. Treat the parts of your body by passing each area no more than 3 times.

  • Select a suitable tip for your treatments:
    Fine diamond tip 8 : the finer treatment tip for the delicate and hard-to- reach areas of the face, such as around the eyes, nose and mouth.
    Regular diamond tip 9 : the standard treatment tip for all skin types for removing dead skin cells and stimulating the cell regrowth and the blood circulation. Suitable for face and neck. Body diamond tip 10 : the larger treatment tip for body parts such as arms and legs.
    Massage tip 11 : for massaging the skin and stimulating the blood circulation. Suitable for all skin types.

  • Thoroughly wash your face or body part and pat dry with a soft towel to leave your skin bare before using the device.

  • Gently move the tip across the skin using short and even strokes. For facial area, follow the below instructions:
    Cheeks: Stroke from inside outwards.
    Nose: Stroke downwards covering entire nose.
    Chin: Stroke downwards along jawline.
    Forehead: Stroke from centre outwards on each side.
    Eye area: Stroke outwards between eye and ear. Do not stroke directly below the eyes or on the eyelids, and stay outside the eye orbit.
    Neck: Stroke downwards.

  • After treatment, wash the treated area with cold water to remove remaining debris and gently pat dry. Apply a toner, serum or cream to minimize your pores and soothe your skin for the optimal efficacy of your treatments.

  • Light bruising and redness is completely normal after treatments and should subside within 24 hours. Effective dermabrasion treatments gently remove the outer layer of skin which may cause slight discomfort and redness.

  • Stop using the device immediately if you develop any abnormal reactions such as itching, uncomfortable inflammation, or scratches.

Attaching the tip

  • Make sure the device is switched off and unplugged before attaching or changing the tip.
  • Always make sure a filter and O-ring are in place. Refer to the chapter “Replacing the filter” or “Replacing the O- ring” for replacement if necessary.
  1. Attach the desired tip ( 8 / 9 / 10 / 11 ) to the device.
  2. Make sure the tip is firmly in place before use.

Operating in Auto mode
Auto mode is only for facial treatments.

  1. Press the power button 5 to switch on the device.

  2. Press the mode button 3 to select “Auto mode” .

  3. Press the control buttons 6 to select the desired intensity level. Level 1 is the lowest level; while level 3 is the highest level.

  4. Press the start/pause button 4 to begin the treatment.

    • Treat the facial area indicated on the LCD display.
      The LCD display also shows the countdown of the treatment time for each facial area. You will hear 2 beeps when the time elapses.

    • Move to the next facial area indicated on the display after each 2 beeps until the treatment cycle is completed.

    • During the treatment, you can press the Start/pause button and then press the control buttons anytime to switch to another facial area.

Operating in Manual mode
Manual mode is for both facial and body treatments. This mode allows you to follow your own treatment regime. It will not inform you about treatment times, areas or give you instructions on how to use it. The timer however, will keep track of the treatment time that has passed.

  1. Press the power button 5 to switch on the device.
  2. Press the mode button 3 to select “Manual”.
  3. Press the control buttons 6 to select the desired intensity level. Level 1 is the lowest level; while level 3 is the highest level.
  4. Press the start/pause button 4 to begin the treatment.

Cleaning and maintenance

NOTICE! RISK OF DAMAGE!

  • Always turn off and unplug the device before cleaning or replacing the spare parts.
  • Never immerse the device or any parts in water or other liquids. Make sure that no water or other liquids penetrate the housing.
  • Do not use any aggressive cleaners, brushes with metal or nylon bristles, or sharp or metallic cleaning utensils such as knives, hard scrapers and the like.

Cleaning the housing and the charging cradle

  1. Wipe the device 1 and the charging cradle 7 (avoid contacting the pin of the charging cradle or the hole on the bottom of the device) with a damp cloth.
  2. Wipe it completely dry with a dry cloth.

Cleaning the tip

  1. Remove the tip ( 8 / 9 / 10 / 11 ) from the device and gently clean its inner side with the brush 16 after each use to remove dead skin cells and debris.
  2. Wipe the outside of the tips thoroughly with a damp cloth.
  3. Let it dry completely.

Replacing the filter
The filter should be replaced regularly for optimal results. Always make sure that the filter is in place to prevent particles such as dead skin cells or debris from entering the motor.

  1. Gently remove the tip ( 8 / 9 / 10 / 11 ) and discard the filter 14 .
  2. Replace with a new filter and put the tip back into place.

Replacing the O-ring

The O-ring should only be replaced if it is damaged or worn. Always make sure that the O-ring is in place, otherwise the device will not work properly.

  1. Gently remove the tip ( 8 / 9 / 10 / 11 ) and discard the O-ring 15 .
  2. Replace with a new O-ring and put the tip back into place.

Storage

  • All parts must be completely dry before being stored in the pouch 17 . You can also use the charging cradle 7 as a stand to hold the device.
  • Do not wind the USB cable 13 round the device.

Troubleshooting

Some problems may be caused by minor faults that you can fix yourself. To do so, follow the instructions in the following table. If it is still not possible to resolve the problem, contact customer service. Do not repair the device yourself.

Fault Possible cause and solution
The device won’t turn on. Make sure the USB adapter is securely plugged in

the charging cradle, and plugged into a working mains socket for at least one hour. The battery symbol on the LCD display should indicate that device is charging. If the battery symbol does not come on, contact our customer service.
The device has lost suction.|

  • Check the tip closely for any hairline cracks, punctures, or spaces.
  • Remove the tip and ensure that the O-ring is in place. If you notice cracks or that the
  • O-ring is missing, replace it with a spare ring.
  • Remove the tip and ensure that the filter is in place. If you notice that the filter has worn down or if you see a lot of dead skin cell and debris, replace it with a new filter.
  • If these solutions do not work, contact our customer service.

The tip ( 8 / 9 / 10 ) is not coarse enough.| The tip will accumulate skin cell build-up over time, making it feel smoother. Clean the tip with a damp cloth to keep it clear of skin debris. The tips should be replaced every year, or earlier if they are worn. You can purchase replacement tips and filters through the retailer where you bought the device, or you can order directly from our website: www.silkn.eu .
