Product Usage Instructions
- Before using the Steam Mop, carefully read all the instructions in the user manual and keep it in a safe place for future reference.
- Ensure that the appliance is used only as described in the instruction booklet to avoid personal injury or damage to the appliance.
- Assemble the Steam Mop by following these steps:
- Place the Steam Mop in an upright position.
- The head will lock into position to remain upright.
- Fill the water tank with water.
- Select the desired floor mode by following these steps:
- Press the ON/OFF button twice in quick succession to start the product. The default setting is ceramic tile mode.
- To stop the product and enter standby mode, press the ON/OFF button.
- Press the TOGGLE button to cycle between the tile, wooden floor, and marble modes.
- Understanding the display panel icons:
- STANDBY MODE: After plugging in the device, the display panel will illuminate once and then the ON/OFF icon in the middle will flash red, indicating that the appliance is powered on.
- POWER-ON MODE: The ON/OFF icon and the Lakeland logo are illuminated, indicating that the appliance is ready to use.
- STEAM MODE: When the appliance reaches the desired temperature, the steam icon will be continuously illuminated in white. Press the TOGGLE button to select the desired setting.
- CERAMIC TILE FLOOR MODE: If in the tile mode, the tile icon will be illuminated in white.
- WOODEN FLOOR MODE: If in the wooden floor mode, the wooden floor icon will be illuminated in white.
- MARBLE MODE: If in the marble mode, the marble icon will be illuminated in white.
- DESCALING MODE: When the product detects the set descaling time, the descaling icon will illuminate red continuously, indicating that there is scale inside the product that needs to be cleaned. During cleaning, the descaling icon will flash red.
- Ensure to follow the safety precautions mentioned in the user manual to avoid any accidents or injuries.

CONTROL PANEL ICONS
- ON/OFF BUTTON
- Double press in quick succession and the product will start working, the default setting is ceramic tile mode.
- Press **** the on/off and the product will stop working, entering standby mode.
- TOGGLE BUTTON
Press the **** toggle button to cycle between the tile, wooden floor and marble modes.
DISPLAY PANEL ICONS

STANDBY MODE
After the device is plugged in, the display panel will illuminate once and then the **** on/off icon in the middle will flash red, indicating that the appliance is powered on. -
POWER-ON MODE
The **** on/off icon and the Lakeland logo are illuminated, the appliance is ready to use. -
STEAM MODE
When the appliance is up to temperature the steam icon will be on continuously and illuminated white. Press the toggle button **** to enter the setting required. -
CERAMIC TILE FLOOR MODE (shows as Tile)
If in the tile mode the tile icon will be illuminated white. -
WOODEN FLOOR MODE
If in the wooden floor mode the wooden floor icon will be illuminated white. -
MARBLE MODE
If in the marble mode the marble icon will be illuminated white. -
DESCALING MODE
When the product detects the time set by the program, the descaling icon will illuminate red continuosly, indicating that there is scale inside the product, which needs to be cleaned. When cleaning, the descaling icon will illuminate and flash red.

Carefully read all the instructions before using the appliance and keep in a safe place for future reference. Always follow these safety precautions when using the appliance to avoid personal injury or damage to the appliance. This appliance should be used only as described in this instruction book.

This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be done by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.

Unplug from the mains when not in use and before cleaning. To disconnect, turn the socket to “off” and remove the plug from the mains socket.

This appliance should be used for mopping as described within the instructions.

Always ensure that your hands are dry before removing the plug from the mains socket. Never pull the plug out of the mains socket by its lead.

An earthed extension cable may be used with care. The electrical rating of the cable should be at least as great as the appliance. Do not allow the cable to hang over the edge of the worktop or touch any hot surfaces.

WARNING! A cut off plug inserted into a 13 amp socket is a serious safety (shock) hazard. Ensure the cut off plug is disposed of safely.

CAUTION: The plastic bags used to wrap this appliance or the packaging may be dangerous. To avoid risk of suffocation, keep these bags out of reach of babies and children. These bags are not toys.

Do not direct steam towards any surfaces which should not come into contact with water, such as equipment containing electrical components, such as the interior of the oven.

Only use the Steam Mop on flat horizontal surfaces. Do not use on vertical walls, counters or windows.

Do not leave the appliance unattended when plugged in.

Do not use on unsealed wood or unglazed ceramic floors. This Steam Mop can damage some floor surfaces, including those that have been treated with wax, it will remove
the sheen. Always test an isolated area of the surface to be cleaned before proceeding. Always check the use and care instructions from the floor manufacturer. -
Do not use on leather, waxed furniture or floors, unsealed hardwood or parquet floors synthetic fabrics, velvet or other delicate, steam sensitive materials.

Do not use the appliance in high temperature, strong magnetic field and humid air.

When in use, NEVER turn the appliance over or on its side. NEVER direct steam towards people, animals or plants.

NEVER leave the Steam Mop on any surface for any period of time with a damp or wet floor pad attached, this will damage your floors.

Do not block the steam outlet, nor place it on the soft surface that may block the steam outlet, and keep the steam outlet free of sundries or hair.

Do not insert anything into the opening. Do not operate the appliance if the opening is blocked. Allow the appliance to cool completely before removing parts or cleaning.

Do not use it in enclosed spaces filled with paint thinners, mosquito repellent spray, flammable particles, or other explosive or toxic gases.

Do not use Steam Mop without microfibre floor pad attached.

Take extreme care when using this Steam Mop to clean stairs.

Do not use the appliance on very cold glass surfaces.

In order to prevent accidents, be aware when using this product that the surface will be temporarily wet and therefore slippery. Be careful when walking on it. The steam base is very hot. Do not touch it with your hands or touch the steam near the steam base.

WARNING: Surfaces marked with this symbol will be extremely hot during use and stay hot after use.

The steam emitted from this Steam Mop is hot and will scald and burn, and possible injury could occur.

The appliance will continue to emit steam for a few seconds after it has been switched off.

Use caution when using this Steam Mop, direct steam away from hands and feet.

Allow the appliance to cool completely before touching, handling, moving or storing.
ASSEMBLING YOUR STEAM MOP AND USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
- Unpack the Steam Mop and remove all the packaging materials.
- Do not insert the plug into an electrical socket or turn on the Steam Mop until you have fully assembled it.
- Insert the handle into the main unit as shown making sure that the locator button lines up with the two small holes on the reverse of the main unit and clicks into place.

To remove the handle, insert a fine pin into the first small hole on the back of the main unit, push the pin in while removing the handle by lifting it upwards.

Place the microfibre floor pad on the floor with the fastener strips facing upwards.
-
Align the Steam Mop head with the microfibre floor pad making sure that the hook and loop fasteners secure the microfibre floor pad in place.
-
Push the Steam Mop head firmly down on to the microfibre floor pad.
Do not use the Steam Mop without the microfibre floor pad attached.
- Wrap the power cord around the cord storage hooks and slot the end into the cord holder.
FILLING THE WATER TANK

The first time you use the Steam Mop, you may find water droplets in the water tank, this is a result of quality checks during production and does not constitute a defect or used appliance.
-
Make sure the Steam Mop is not plugged in before you fill the water tank.
-
The water tank holds up to 440ml.
-
Hold the water tank handle and take out the water tank.
-
Open the water tank cover and fill the water tank with clean water and then replace the cover.
-
Insert the filled water tank in the direction indicated by the arrow.
-
Do not use this appliance if there is not enough water in the water tank, only use water with this Steam Mop.
-
Do not add hot water, cleaning solutions, perfumes, oils, vinegar, starch, or other chemicals to the water. This will damage the appliance and it will be unsafe for use.
-
If you live in a hard water area, use distilled water in your Steam Mop.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

For better results, sweep or vacuum your floors before using the Steam Mop.
-
The Steam Mop is safe on all sealed hard floor surfaces like laminate, bamboo, vinyl, hardwood, marble, tile and stone.
WARNING:- Your Steam Mop is for cleaning hard floor surfaces that will withstand high heat. You can use the Steam Mop to clean laminate floors, as long as there are no gaps where moisture can penetrate. Do not use on unsealed wood or unglazed ceramic floors. This Steam Mop can damage some floor surfaces, including those that have been treated with wax, it will remove the sheen. Do not use on leather, waxed polished furniture, synthetic fabrics, soft plastic, wooden furniture, velvet or other delicate, steam sensitive materials.
- Always test an isolated area of the surface to be cleaned before proceeding, check for no ripples or moisture penetration. Always check the use and care instructions from the floor manufacturer.

Follow the instructions in ‘Using your Steam Mop for the first time’ to set up the Steam Mop and make sure the water tank is filled. Always check the floor pad for wear before use, to avoid damaging your floor.

Only use the Steam Mop on flat horizontal surfaces. Do not use on vertical walls, counters or windows.

Rotate the top cord storage hook 180° to release the power cord.
TIP: Slot the power cord into the cord holder to keep it clear when mopping.
- Place the Steam Mop in an upright position, the head will lock into position so it remains upright and then fill the water tank.
- Plug in and switch on the Steam Mop at the socket. All the lights on the display panel will illuminate and flash once.
- On the display panel the on/off icon will illuminate and flash red, the appliance is in standby mode.
- Press the on/off button twice in quick succession on the control panel to switch on.
- The steam icon will illuminate red and flash until it has reached temperate, then it will illuminate white and remain on. The Steam Mop is ready to use.
- The default setting is ceramic tile floor (shows as tile).
- To switch between the types of floor settings press the toggle button to cycle through the settings, if you keep pressing the toggle button it will loop round in a circle.
- Take the mop by the handle and use your foot to release the head from the locked upright position.
- Slowly slide the Steam Mop head back and forth over the floor.
- Never apply steam to one area for more than 10 seconds, this can damage your floor.
- Should you wish to enter into standby mode at any stage, press the on/off button.
- When the steam icon flashes white, the water tank is low or empty and needs refilling. The appliance will automatically enter standby mode
- Press the on/off button to turn the Steam Mop off and switch off and unplug at the socket before refilling.
- When you have finished cleaning the floor, turn off and unplug at the socket and empty the water tank.
- Never leave the Steam Mop on any surface for any period of time with a damp or wet floor pad attached, this will damage your floors.
- When the mop has been switched off, if stood upright water may still come from the head. This can damage floors. Ensure any excess water is removed.
- Wait until the appliance has fully cooled before removing the microfibre floor pad.
- Remove the microfibre floor pad after use by simply pulling it off the head once the appliance has fully cooled down.
LOW WATER TANK
- When the system detects that there is no water in the water tank, the steam mode icon flashes white. After about 10 seconds, it will automatically power off.
- Switch off and unplug at the socket and refill the water tank.
DESCALING
- When the product detects descaling is required, the descaling icon on the display panel illuminates.
- When the descaling icon is on, please clean the product according to the method shown below to avoid affecting the service life and normal operation of the appliance.
- After the cleaning is completed, the descaling icon goes out, the appliance enters the standby mode and the program set time is cleared.
DESCALING METHOD
- Put water mixed with white vinegar at a ratio of approximately 1:2 (about 300ml) into the water tank. Long press the toggle button for about 3 seconds, and the product will automatically enter the descaling mode. During cleaning, the Lakeland logo and on/off icon will be illuminated and the descaling icon will flash. After descaling, it will enter the standby mode.
- Fill the water tank with clean water and use the descaling mode again to avoid vinegar residue.
- During descaling, the appliance will emit a strong vinegar smell, which is a normal and it is recommended this procedure is done in an open well ventilated place.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Why does the handle and main unit not fit together or lock into place?
Twist the handle until it fits directly into the opening and locks into place. -
Why is the appliance not working and the LEDs not illuminating?
The appliance may not be plugged in and switched on at the socket. Check you have pressed the on/off button. If the LEDs are not illuminating, try a different plug socket. -
Why is the Steam Mop not producing steam?
Check that the on/off button has been pressed and the on/off icon and Lakeland logo are illuminated. -
Why is the Steam Mop leaving water on the floor?
The microfibre floor pad may be too wet. Unplug your Steam Mop, allow to cool and remove the microfibre floor pad to let it dry. -
Why is the Steam Mop leaving a white spot on the floor?
Your Steam Mop has been left standing on the floor with a damp or wet microfibre floor pad. If you are in a hard water area, you may want to switch to distilled water. -
Why are my floors cloudy, streaky or spotty after steaming?
- The microfibre floor pad might be dirty, clean the pad.
- If you washed the microfibre floor pad with powder detergent it might have residue left on it. Wash it again with liquid detergent.
- If you are cleaning in a kitchen area where there might be a build-up of grease, use a de-greasing agent such as an all-purpose cleaner or dish soap and paper towels to clean the area first.
- You might have left the mop in the same spot for too long.
CARE AND CLEANING
- Unplug the Steam Mop and let it cool completely before cleaning or removing the microfibre floor pad.
- After every use, remove and empty the water tank.
- Never immerse the appliance and power cord in water or any other liquid, or touch with wet hands.
- Check the parts for wear or damage after every few uses.
- Do not store the appliance with a damp or wet microfibre floor pad attached.
- The floor pad will be very hot after use. Wait for the cloth to cool completely before removing.
- The microfibre pad is machine washable up to 60°C. Use liquid detergent only and wash separately from other fabrics. Do not bleach or use fabric conditioner, iron or dry clean. Tumble dry on low.
- To clean the outer surfaces of the Steam Mop, wipe with a clean damp cloth and dry thoroughly before storing.
- Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners, they will damage the steam mop.
- Wind the power cord loosely around the cord storage hooks and secure on the cord holder.
Never wrap it tightly around the product.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS

THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE EARTHED
The appliance is fitted with a fused three-pin plug to BS1363 which is suitable for use in all homes fitted with sockets to current specifications. -
CHANGING THE 13 AMP FUSE

Use a 13 amp BS1362 fuse. Only BSI or ASTA approved fuses should be used. If you are unsure which plug or fuse to use, always refer to a qualified electrician.
Note: After replacing or changing a fuse on a moulded plug which has a fuse cover, the cover must be refitted to the plug; the appliance must not be used without a fuse cover. -
If lost, replacement fuse covers can be obtained from an electrical shop.
