The kit includes: LCD digital endoscope, microUSB cable, accessories (hook, magnet, side mirror, protective cap), and user manual.

Getting started

Charging the device
This device uses a rechargeable Li-ion battery. Connect the power cable to the device and the 5V, 1A DC adapter for charging (not included) via a USB plug and connect it to the AC power supply to charge the battery. When using the device for the first time, charge it for at least 2.5 hours.

Assembly/disassembly

  • Align and connect the display and handle connectors. To disassemble, press the button on the handle (18) to remove the display.

Installing/removing the memory card
The device supports microSD memory cards class 10 up to 64GB (not included).

  • Insert the microSD card into the slot (12). Do not force the card in.
  • To remove the card from the slot, press the edge of the memory card in gently, and the card will pop out. Then, remove the card.levenhuk VE40 Industrial Endoscope - supports

Usage

  1. Insert the microSD memory card.
  2. Press and hold the Power button (1) for 3 seconds to turn the device on/off. The operation status indicator lights up in blue when the device is on.
  3. Press the Camera light button (11) to adjust the camera light brightness.
  4. Put the probe into the area to be inspected. The camera view will be displayed on the screen.
  5. To take a picture, press the Photo/video button (5). To record a video, press and hold the Photo/video button (5). To stop recording, press this button again.
  6. To view and delete the recorded files, press the Back/File button (6).
  7. To switch between the front camera and the side camera views, press the Camera switch/Confirm button (only for VE60/VE70).
  8. Press the Set button (10) to enter the menu to change the settings, such as brightness, resolution, and language. Use Up (9) and Down (7) buttons to scroll the menu. Press the Camera switch/Confirm button (8) to confirm the selection. Press the Back/File button (6) to return to the previous menu.

Care and maintenance

Do not try to disassemble the device on your own for any reason. For repairs and cleaning of any kind, please contact your local specialized service center. Protect the device from sudden impact and excessive mechanical force. Store the device in a dry cool place. Only use accessories and spare parts for this device that comply with the technical specifications. Never attempt to operate a damaged device or a device with damaged electrical parts! If a part of the device or battery is swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.

Battery safety instructions

Always purchase the correct size and grade of battery most suitable for the intended use. Always replace the whole set of batteries at one time; taking care not to mix old and new ones, or batteries of different types. Clean the battery contacts and also those of the device prior to battery installation. Make sure the batteries are installed correctly with regard to polarity (+ and –). Remove batteries from equipment that is not to be used for an extended period of time. Remove used batteries promptly. Never short-circuit batteries as this may lead to high temperatures, leakage, or explosion. Never heat batteries in order to revive them. Do not disassemble batteries. Remember to switch off devices after use. Keep batteries out of the reach of children, to avoid risk of ingestion, suffocation, or poisoning. Utilize used batteries as prescribed by your country’s laws.
