SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

• Read the instructions carefully before using the Secadry XXL and save them for future use. Use which does not comply with said instructions will exempt Newlux from any responsibility.
• Check the voltage before connecting to electricity (AC 220-240V, 50/60Hz). Connecting the device to an incorrect voltage may damage it.
• Do not share the supply source with other high consumption electrical appliances.
• To avoid electrical shock, please do not submerge the device, plug or electrical cable into water or other liquids.
• Do not leave this device unattended whilst it is running.
• Designed only for indoor use. This product cannot be used outside or in bathrooms or humid areas.
• Keep the device far from flammable materials and chemical products.
• This electrical appliance is not designed for children or people with physical, sensory or mental disabilities or for those lacking sufficient experience or knowledge, please avoid using it within supervision or instruction from someone who can ensure it is being used safely.
• Before putting clothes into the dryer, for safety, the clothes should be wrung out and/or spun dry, making sure they don’t drip. This will avoid the floor and device becoming wet, and will also reduce the drying time and will therefore save energy.
• Do not touch or cover the air vent when the device is running.
• If the supply cable is damaged, it must be replaced by an Official Technical Service or an authorised company.
• Do not keep the device turned on for more than 360 minutes. In the event that it needs to be on for longer than this, leave a 30 minute pause between each cycle.
• To avoid a decrease in drying efficiency, always check and clean the air filter.
• To ensure that your machine can maintain the highest performance level, clean the filter screen in the air vent at least every 15 days.
• This device is suitable for drying items of clothing which can support high temperatures, higher than 75º.

WARNING! Never cover the air vent. Wring the clothes well before putting them into the device, ensuring that they do not drip. Avoid direct contact of UV rays with your skin and eyes.

PRODUCT CHARACTERISTICS

Secadry XXL is a multi-functional, portable device. It is a single device which combines the characteristics of a dryer, wardrobe and clothes line. Suitable for humid, cold or wet climates. Characteristics:

• Advanced thermal, ceramic PTC drying for items of clothing. The main material is fireproof ABS material.
• It incorporates a sterilization system using a UV ray lamp.
• Automatic switch off after the programmed time.
• 3 drying levels, high capacity.
• Ultra silent, high velocity ventilator, low noise level.
• Fast 360º heating. Faster drying speed, saves energy use.
• Multifunctional: suitable for drying items of clothing, towels, cuddly toys, sheets, shoes, pillows, among others. It remains more sterile thanks to the high temperature and its UV lamp, helps to eliminate bad odours, bacteria and mites, air pollution.
• Thanks to its drying system, it avoids the clothes rubbing together when dry, like with standard dryers. So that the clothes and their fibres are protected, it will take longer.
• To make ironing easier, you can put the clothes on hangers for drying, so that the clothes do not wrinkle.
• When not being used, it can also be used as a portable wardrobe or clothes line.
• To prevent secondary contamination, protect the clothes during drying under a canvas or cover, so as to avoid the invasion of dust, wind and insects. Keeps the clothes cleaner.
• Includes 4 flexible wheels to make movement or transfer to the desired position easier.
• Stainless steel structure.
• Safety system. The device has an incorporated double protection thermic connection inside the heater:
  1. Temperature protection: if the PTC temperature exceeds 108ºC, the supply will automatically be cut off and it will stop functioning.
  2. Electrical protection: if the electrical current is above 10A, the supply will be cut off.

It is advisable to carefully read these instructions. The correct use of the device guarantees safe use and will extend its life cycle.

INSTALLATION

1. On a flat surface, assemble the upper and lower shelfs, connecting the pieces to one another, following the drawing shown below:
   Upper shelf
   Connect the horizontal tubes (F) directly into the plastic shelf hole (A). Lower fixed shelf
   Connect the lower shelf (C), the horizontal tubes (F) and the four wheels (I) directly into the shelf hole.

2. Connect the lower vertical tubes (G) into the four corners of the lower shelf (C), following the drawing. Then, place the outer cover of the dryer using the four vertical tubes, using the four lower holes.

3. To assemble the structure, connect the lower vertical tubes (G) and the middle level plastic shelves (B), as shown in the drawing. Repeat the same process for the upper vertical tubes (D) and connect the upper shelf (A) previously assembled in step 1. Finally, connect the 8 middle horizontal suspended tubes (E) on the middle and lower shelfs.

4. When the structure is finally assembled, gently pull the outer cover up from the bottom. Place the main device (H) in the centre of the lower fixed shelf, the air vent of the device should coincide with the air vent on the outer cover. Close the outer cover to finish assembling the dryer.

5. Dismantling: to dismantle the device, follow the assembly steps in the reverse order.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

1. Connect the supply plug to the electrical current, more than 10A.
2. Place the items of clothing on the shelfs, which have firstly been wrung out and are not dripping. Close the outer cover.

1H DEFAULT MODE: After connecting the cable, the machine will be in standby mode, the standby light will turn on, press the ON switch to turn on the device. The default time is one hour in dry mode, the “1 hour” light will flash 15 minutes before the dry mode ends. The UV sterilization light will turn on and the UV lamp will start operating until the end of the dry mode.
2H DRYING MODE: Press the ON switch twice, the machine will start the 2 hour dry mode. The “2 hours” indicator light will flash for the last 15 minutes of the dry mode. The UV sterilization light will turn on and the UV lamp will start operating until the end of the dry mode.
3H DRYING MODE: Press the on switch three times, the machine starts the 3 hours dry mode, the “3 hours” light flashes for the last 15 minutes of the dry mode, the UV sterilization lamp turns on and operates until the end of the dry mode.
STERILIZATION MODE: Press the on switch four times and the machine will start the 30 minute UV sterilization mode independently. The “Sterilization” lamp will flash, at this time the PTC heater and fan will not operate, the UV lamp will operate until the end of the 30 minute period.
SAFETY SYSTEM: When the UV lamp is in operation and someone approaches the machine by the front side within a range of 2 meters, the UV sensor will be activated and the UV lamp will immediately turn off automatically. When the person leaves or moves away from the detection range, the UV lamp will turn on and start operating again after 10 seconds.
Do not touch or cover the air vent when the device is running.
The air vent on the device and the air vent on the outer cover must be properly aligned, ensuring that the position is correct before activating the device to avoid air escaping and optimising performance.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

1. Turn off and unplug the device from the electrical current. Wait until the device becomes cold before starting cleaning.
2. Clean the whole surface and parts with a soft cloth, if necessary you can lightly dampen it with water and soap. The surface must be cleaned to avoid discolouration and damage.
3. If you are not going to use the device for a long period of time, keep it clean in a dry place with no humidity.

Do not submerge the device or its parts in water.
Do not use solvents, bleach or corrosive substances to clean the device.

SOLVING PROBLEMS
