SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

Before you start

  • Read the instructions in this manual carefully before using thedevice. Keep this manual for future reference.
  • After use, before changing accessories, cleaning or maintenance, switch off and disconnect the device by removing the plug, without pulling the cord.
  • Do not leave the fan running unattended.
  • Do not immerse the device in water or pour water over it.
  • Do not place the fan near sources of heat.
  • Do not allow children to handle the fan. It could be dangerous andmust not be used by children.
  • If the device has any damaged parts, do not use. Contact the seller or the Technical Service (SAT).
  • Do not expose the device to sunlight or the elements.
  • This device is designed exclusively for domestic use. Do not use for functions not indicated in this manual.
  • The device must be handled only by designated Newlux service technicians. Do not disassemble or tamper with the product; there isa risk of fire, electrical shock or personal injury.
  • This device must NOT be used by persons with a lack of experience and knowledge due to reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities (including children), unless they are supervised or instructed in the use of the device by a person responsible for their safety.
  • If an extension cord is used, check that it is in good condition and is suitable for the power of the fan.
  • If the humidifier output is at a minimum, the device can be used intermittently.

WARNING
If the power cord is damaged, do not use the fan. It must be replaced by an authorised service centre.

Safety in use

  • After removing the packing material, check the integrity of the fan.
  • It is an electrical device, so appropriate safety precautions must be observed. Make sure the operating voltage of the fan corresponds to that of the electrical supply.
  • Do not place the appliance near sinks or other containers with liquids.
  • Keep the fan away from textiles (e.g. fabrics, curtains and sofas).
  • Do not cover the air inlet and outlet.
  • Make sure that the power cord is not in contact with rough or hot surfaces or twisted and coiled around the appliance.
  • Place the device on a horizontal, flat surface. It should not be placed on an inclined plane as the device may tip over.
  • Do not use flammable materials or aerosols near the device.
  • Unplug the appliance before filling it with water and cleaning it.
  • Never leave water in the tank when the appliance is not in use.
  • If the fan fails or malfunctions, turn it off and contact the dealer or Technical Services (TAS).

ASSEMBLY

WARNING: Do not use the fan without first assembling it, including the support base and grilles

Fan body assembly

  1. Place the metal tube of the fan motor (8) into the round hole in the upper part of the housing (11). Make sure the tube is properly fitted so that the fixing screw (10) can be screwed into the housing (11).
  2. Cover the metal part of the 4 wheels (13) with the 4 black plastic covers and insert them into the four holes under the base (12).
  3. Remove the floor support (14) from the thread at the bottom of the housing (11). Place the fan with the two pins and the thread in the upper part of the base (12) and insert it into the openings. Make sure the housing is securely fixed to the pedestal.

Fan grille assembly

  1. Insert the motor shaft through the fan rear grille (7) and attach with the rear grille nut (6).
  2. Place the blades on the motor shaft and fix them using the blade nut (4).
  3. Prepare the protective support (1) by screwing it into a circle with the connecting screw and a screwdriver (turn 2-3 times only).
  4. Place the front grille (3) exactly on the edge of the rear grille (7) and connect them with the protective support. When it has encircled the edges of the fan grilles, tighten the grille support screw with a screwdriver.
  5. Insert the mist hose (9) into the humidifier accessory (2) on the front grille of the fan.

IMPORTANT: Do not operate the fan until the grilles and blades are correctly installed.

USE AND OPERATION

****Before each use, check the unit is in good condition and the power cable is not damaged. If the power cable is damaged, contact the seller or the Technical Support Service (TAS).

WARNING: Make sure the product is unplugged from the mains before filling or refilling the water tank.

Use only cold or lukewarm water in the tank. It should be no hotter than 40ºC. Do not add chemicals, oils or other additives.

When you connect the fan to the power supply unit, the display (1) lights up and the device enters standby mode.

You can control it with the touch control panel or with the remote control.

  • Press the ON/SPEED button (7) ) and the fan will start running.

  • To select the speed – level: low, medium or high – press the ON/
    SPEED button (7) several times.

  • V1 = Low speed V2 = Medium speed V3 = High speed

  • Press the OFF button (6) to turn off the fan.

  • Press the SWING button to rotate from side to side. If you want to stop the oscillation, press the ROTATE button again. Maximum angle: 70º.

  • Press the MIST button  to turn the humidifier on/off.

Timer

This appliance has a timer with an automatic shut-off.

Press the TIMER button to set the time you want to programme.

  • If you press the TIMER button when the fan is off, the display willshow the time remaining until the fan turns on.
  • If you press the TIMER button when the fan is on, the display will show the time remaining until the fan switches off.

Range: 1-12 hours.

The time increases and decreases in 1-hour intervals.

IMPORTANT: Unplug the fan from the mains if it is not going to be used for a long period of time.

Tilt adjustment
To adjust the fan grille up or down, first hold the fan head securely, then loosen the thumbscrew on the right side of the fan head. Once the angle has been adjusted, retighten the wing screw.

Make sure the fan is disconnected from the power supply beforeadjusting the tilt angle.

Remote control
There are six function keys on the remote control. To operate the device with the remote control, point the remote control at the remote control sensor (11) on the LED display of the fan.

IMPORTANT: You can only control the fan modes with the remotecontrol.

To control the fan modes:

  • Press the MODE button to set to: normal, nature or sleep, the mode is shown on the LED display by illuminating the icon.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem Possible cause Solution

The off button does not turn on; the fan does not start; the fan does not start; there is no mist.| The fan is not plugged in. The fuse has tripped.| Plug in the fan. Reset the fuse.

MANTENANCE AND CLEANING

WARNING
Before cleaning the fan, remove the power plug from the outlet.

  • Clean the main body with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not use abrasive or corrosive products.
  • Do not immerse any part of the fan in water or any other liquid. If this occurs, do not dip your hand into the liquid; unplug from the supply.
  • Carefully dry the device and make sure all electrical parts are dry.
  • The motor ventilation openings should be kept free of dust and lint.
  • If you are not going to use the fan for a while, you should protect it from dust and humidity; we recommend storing it in its original packaging
  • Empty and clean the humidifier before storing and before the next use.
  • Microorganisms that present in the water or the environment where the appliance is used or stored can grow in the water tank and be expelled into the air causing very serious health risks if thewater is not replaced. To prevent this, remove wastewater from the appliance and water tank after every 3 days of use.
  • Empty the tank and refill it every 3 days. Before refilling, clean it with cold tap water or non-abrasive cleaning agents. Remove any limescale, deposits or film that may have formed on the sides of the tank or interior surfaces. Wipe all surfaces dry with a cloth.

At the end of its useful life, you should not dispose of the product as ordinary waste, but take it to a local government waste collection centre or a distributor that provides this service. Disposing of your appliance this way prevents negative consequences for the environment and health, and means the materials can be recovered for significant savings in energy and resources.

As a reminder of the need for special disposal of the appliance, it is labelled with a crossed-out rubbish bin.
