Product Usage Instructions

Upright Vacuum Cleaner Use: Assembly

1. Press the protrusion on the tube to insert it into the recess of the handle release button. You will hear a click when the tube is firmly seated in the handle.
2. To remove the tube, simply press the release button and pull the tube out of the vacuum handle.
3. Insert the vacuum base into the opening of the dust tank.

Use as a Hand Vacuum Cleaner

1. Press the handle release button to detach the hand vacuum from the handle.
2. Remove the vacuum base and insert the connector into the dust tank opening.

Device Operation

1. Ensure that the power supply is safe and compatible with the product voltage.
2. Rotate the swivel cord hook 180 degrees before removing the power cord.
3. Press the on/off switch to turn on the vacuum cleaner.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Before opening the dust tank, always unplug the device from the electrical outlet. The filter must always be in place when using the vacuum cleaner. Ensure that the suction opening is open and free of obstructions to prevent motor overheating and damage.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

• Read the instructions in this manual carefully before using the vacuum cleaner. Keep this manual for future reference.

• It is an electrical device, so safety precautions must be observed. Make sure the operating voltage of the vacuum cleaner corresponds to that of the electricity supply.

• After use and before changing accessories, cleaning or maintenance, switch off the device and disconnect the plug from the socket, without pulling on the cord.

• Do not leave the vacuum cleaner running unattended.

• Do not vacuum wet surfaces, water or any other liquid. Do not vacuum hot substances, dirt with large sharp pieces, such as glass, or harmful, aggressive, flammable or explosive products.

• Do not immerse the device in water or pour water on it.

• Do not bring hot objects – such as lit cigarettes, lighters or matches
  close to the device. Do not place the vacuum cleaner near heat sources.

• Do not touch the cable with wet hands as there is a risk of electric shock.

• Do not bring the vacuum cleaner close to eye level.

• Do not tamper with the product, as this may cause a risk of fire, electric shock or personal injury. Only designated Newlux service technicians can disassemble or modify the device.

• This vacuum cleaner is designed for domestic use.

• The device is NOT intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities due to a lack of experience or knowledge, unless a person responsible for their safety supervises them or instructs them concerning the use of the device.

• If an extension cord is used, check that it is in perfect condition and suitable for the power of the vacuum cleaner.

• Maximum usage time: 1 hour.

WARNING
If the power cord is damaged, do not use the vacuum cleaner. It must be replaced by an authorised service centre.

USE AND OPERATION

Upright vacuum cleaner use: assembly

1. 1. Press the protrusion on the tube (2) to insert it in the recess of the handle release button (3). When you hear a click, the tube is firmly seated in the handle. To remove it, simply press the release button
   (3) and pull the tube out of the vacuum handle as shown in the pictures below.
   

2. Insert the vacuum base (13) into the opening of the dust tank (12)

Use as a hand vacuum cleaner
Press the handle release button (3) and detach the hand vacuum from the handle, then remove the vacuum base (13) and insert the connector (16) into the dust tank opening (12).

Before assembling or removing accessories, disconnect the plug from the mains socket.

Accessories

• Vacuum base (for cleaning floors)
  Ideal for cleaning all types of floors, carpets, rugs and tiles.

• Precision nozzle (hand-held vacuum cleaner)
  Increases cleaning precision for areas that are difficult to access. Highly practical for radiators, crevices, corners, between cushions, etc…

• Round brush (hand-held vacuum cleaner)
  Ideal for dusting in corners or on small pieces of furniture: Carpets, cushions, sofas, seats, bedding, etc.

Device operation

1. Make sure the power supply is safe and the voltage supply is compatible with the product voltage. Then rotate the swivel cord hook 180 degrees before removing the power cord.

2. Press the on/off switch (5) to turn on the vacuum cleaner.

3. Vacuum on all types of surfaces.

4. To switch off the device, press the on/off switch (5) again.
   CAUTION: During vacuuming, hold the device firmly, otherwise it may slip and cause an injury.

After use

• Press the on/off switch to stop the vacuum cleaner.
• Disconnect the plug from the mains socket.
• Empty the dust tank.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

IMPORTANT

• WARNING: Always unplug the device from the electrical outlet before opening the dust tank.
• NB. The filter must always be in place when using the vacuum cleaner.
• CAUTION: The suction opening must be open and free of obstructions. Otherwise, the motor will overheat and may be damaged.

Cleaning
When the dust tank (12) reaches the maximum line or the suction power is significantly reduced, you should empty the tank to ensure maximum cleaning power.
Stop the device. Press the dust tank opening button (11) and direct the waste into a bin.

Cleaning the filter
After a while, the suction power will reduce due to the filter being blocked. You should therefore clean the filter often.

1. Turn the dust tank locking system to unlock it and remove the dust tank.

2. Turn the HEPA filter a quarter turn to unscrew it

3. Remove the nylon mesh.

4. Rinse the HEPA filter or blow out the filtered dus

5. After drying, insert and use the device again.

Almacenaje
Disconnect the device from the mains when not in use.
Use the upper (6) and lower (10) cable holders to store the vacuum cleaner’s power cable:

1. Rotate the upper cable support (6) upwards.
2. Hook the power cable between the upper (6) and lower (10) brackets, until it is completely retracted.

To use the device again, turn the upper hook downwards and carefully pull out the power cord. Do not pull or force the cable, as it may become damaged and affect the operation of the vacuum cleaner.

At the end of its useful life, you must not dispose of the product as municipal waste. You should take it to a local authority waste collection centre or to a dealer who provides this service. Disposing of an appliance separately prevents possible negative consequences for the environment and for health. In addition, the components can be recovered to obtain significant savings in energy and resources.
As a reminder of the need to dispose of appliances separately, the product is marked with a crossed-out wheelie bin.
