Product Usage Instructions

  1. The installation and operation of this luminaire must comply with national safety regulations.
  2. Installation and commissioning should only be performed by a qualified electrician.
  3. The manufacturer is not liable for any damage caused by improper use or installation.
  4. If modifications are made to the luminaire, the person responsible for these modifications is considered the manufacturer.
  5. For additional protection against overvoltage and transients, separate overvoltage protection components are recommended.
  6. During installation or relamping, avoid touching the light output opening of the LED directly.
  7. Ensure proper earth conductor connection and use the supplied gaskets.
  8. Follow the installation instructions provided with the LED module.
  9. If the LED cover is defective, it should be replaced.
  10. Reassemble the luminaire in reverse order.

Instructions for use

Application
Wall luminaire · indoor luminaire with velvet black luminaire housing and inside hue. Luminaire with shielded light source for illumination of wall surfaces with the mounting surface being the reflection surface. The light emits upwards and downwards.

Overvoltage protection
The electronic components installed in the luminaire are protected against overvoltage in accordance with DIN EN 61547.
To achieve an additional protection against e. g. transients, etc. we recommend separate overvoltage protection components.

Installation

Undo the hexagon socket head screws
(wrench size 2.5 mm) and lift luminaire housing. LED are high-quality electronic components! Please avoid touching the light output opening of the LED directly during installation or relamping.
Loosen earth connection (plug connection) and LED-connection (plug – plug socket) between luminaire housing and mounting plate.

Pass the power connecting cable
through the cable entry in the mounting plate. Fasten the mounting plate with the supplied fastening material or other suitable fastening material to the installation surface.
Make sure to use the gaskets supplied.
Make earth conductor connection.
Push silicone sleeves over the lines and make electrical connection.
Restore the earth conductor connection (plug contact) and LED connection (plug–jack) between the luminaire housing and the mounting plate.
Install luminaire housing onto the mounting plate and tighten hexagon socket head screws evenly.
Carefully insert the supplied shield into the luminaire housing. Make sure that in its final position, the shield engages with its magnetic underside flush to the profile groove of the luminaire housing.

Cleaning · Maintenance
Clean luminaire regularly with solvent-free cleansers from dirt.

Replacing the LED module
The designation of the LED module is noted on a label in the luminaire.
The light colour and light output of BEGA replacement modules correspond to those
of the modules originally fitted. The module can be replaced by qualified personnel using standard tools.
Disconnect the system from the mains.

Undo the hexagon socket head screws
(wrench size 2.5 mm) and lift luminaire housing. Loosen earth connection (plug connection) and LED-connection (plug – plug socket) between luminaire housing and mounting plate.
In order to loosen the screw connection of the LED module, first loosen the hexagon nuts on the inside and remove the metal plate from the luminaire housing. Remove the loose luminaire cover.
Press the synthetic LED cover together lengthwise and remove it from the housing profile.
Remove the LED module. Install the replacement LED module.
Please follow the installation instructions for the LED module.
A defective LED cover must be replaced. Install the luminaire again in the reverse order.
