Product Information
The product is a luminaire, which is a lighting fixture. It is designed to provide illumination in various settings. The installation and operation of the luminaire must comply with national safety regulations. The manufacturer recommends that only qualified electricians carry out the installation and commissioning to ensure safety. The luminaire is protected against overvoltage in accordance with DIN EN 61547, but additional overvoltage protection components are recommended for enhanced protection against transients. The product comes with different LED modules that have specific characteristics such as colour temperature, colour rendering index, luminous flux, and luminous efficiency.
Product Usage Instructions
-
Safety: Ensure that the installation and operation of the luminaire comply with national safety regulations. Only qualified electricians should carry out the installation andcommissioning. The manufacturer does not accept liability for
damage caused by improper use or installation. Any modifications to the luminaire should be done by a qualified person responsible for those modifications. -
Overvoltage Protection: Although the luminaire is already protected against overvoltage, it is recommended to use separate overvoltage protection components for additional protection. These components can be found on the manufacturer’s website.
-
Installation: Avoid touching the light output opening of the LED directly during installation or relamping. To ensure a secure connection, position the luminaire housing precisely in relation to the mounting plate. Align the vertical bar inside the housing with the mounting hole on the long bar of the mounting plate. Press the housing firmly against the plate and turn it clockwise until it stops.
-
Open Luminaire: Unscrew the glass from the luminaire housing by turning it counter-clockwise. To prevent the luminaire from turning on the mounting plate, hold the housing in place with one hand.
-
Replacement of LED Module: The designation of the LED module is noted on a label inside the luminaire. Replacement modules from BEGA have the same light colour and lightoutput as the original modules. Qualified persons can replace the module using standard tools. Disconnect the system and open the luminaire following the installation instructions for the LED module. Replace any defective glass and close the luminaire.

Installation
- LED are high-quality electronic components! Please avoid touching the light output opening of the LED directly during installation or relamping.
- Remove mounting plate from the luminaire housing.
- Unplug the earth conductor connection (plug contact).
Please note:
- If the luminaire is to be mounted onto a metallic, electroconductive surface, it is mandatory to make sure that the mounting surface is connected conductive to the earth conductor of the luminaire!
- Lead the power connecting cable through the mounting plate.
- Fix the mounting plate with enclosed or any other suitable fixing material onto the mounting surface.
- Establish the earth conductor connection on the earthing screw (1) of the mounting plate. Establish the earth conductor connection to the luminaire housing (plug contact).
- Ensure the correct assignment of the connecting cable. Establish the mains connection on the brown (L) and blue (N) wires. The two connecting terminals marked DA, DA are provided for digital control purposes.
- If these terminals are not assigned, the luminaire will work with full light output.
IMPORTANT:
- To ensure secure connection, the luminaire housing must be positioned precisely in relation to the mounting plate.
- Make sure that the vertical bar inside the luminaire housing is positioned precisely in the area of the mounting hole on the long bar of the mounting plate.
- Press the luminaire housing firmly against the mounting plate and turn it clockwise firmly against the stop.
Open luminaire:
- Unscrew glass from luminaire housing by turning it counter-clockwise.
