INTENDED USE

  • This system is designed to help the driver safely detect people and/or objects helping to avoid damage or injury. However, you must use it properly. Use of this system is not a substitute for safe, proper or legal driving.
  • Never reverse/drive while looking at the monitor alone. You should always check behind and around the vehicle when reversing/driving, in the same way as you would if the vehicle did not have the rear view camera system.
  •  Always remember the area displayed by the rear view camera system is limited. It does not display the entire panorama behind your vehicle.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Read this user manual carefully before using the product. If you do not observe the instructions on proper handling in this manual, we shall not be held liable for any resulting personal injury or damage to property.

  1. Please install this product within the voltage range specified. Failure to do so can cause electric shock or product malfunction.
  2. Electric shocks or product malfunctions may occur if this product is installed incorrectly.
  3. If smoke or a burning smell is detected, disconnect the system immediately.
  4. When you install the system, the car should be in powered off state.
  5. Where the power cable may touch a metal case, cover the cable with a friction tape. A short circuit or disconnected wire may cause a fire.
  6. Feed as much cable as possible into the vehicle and clamp it securely. This reduces the possibility of the cable being hooked or snagged.
  7. Keep all cables away from hot or moving parts and electrical noisy components.
  8. Test the system to make sure it works well before using.
  9. This system is a driving aid and the manufacturer takes no responsibility for any accidents caused after the kit is installed.

Testing

  1. If the monitor/car radio (need to buy separately or use your existing one) does not show the rear view, check that polarity of the power is correct; if the cables are connected correctly, check whether the voltage is higher than 10.5V. Also check the plug on the monitor is well connected.
  2. If the image is gradient or reversed, check if the camera is installed correctly.
  3. In case of abnormal display such as strips, inclined lines, check if the camera and monitor are compatible:
    a. Replace the camera with a new one to see if the camera and monitor work. If the monitor works, the original camera can be deemed as defective and needs to be replaced.
    b. If the monitor still does not work, this is probably because the monitor and camera are not compatible with each other. Try to use another monitor to see if it is compatible with the camera.
