Product Usage Instructions

To use the Ninebot KickScooter, follow these steps:

  1. Install the Segway-Ninebot app on your mobile device.
  2. Activate your KickScooter using the app.
  3. Obtain the latest updates and safety instructions through the app.
  4. To power on the KickScooter, press the Power Button. To power off, press and hold the Power Button for 3 seconds.
  5. The headlight and tail light can be turned on/off by pressing the Power Button when the KickScooter is on. Press the Power Button twice to switch between speed modes.
  6. To enable Walk Mode (max speed of 3.1 mph), go to Settings in the Segway-Ninebot app and select Walk Mode.
  7. There are three speed modes available: ECO (Energy-saving mode), D (Standard mode), and S (Sport mode). The top speeds for each mode are as follows: ECO – 9 mph (15 km/h), D – 12 mph (20 km/h), S – 20 mph (32 km/h). The top speed of Sport mode can be adjusted in the Segway-Ninebot app.
  8. The Ninebot KickScooter is suitable for most flat road conditions and typical Belgian roads.

Power Button: Press the button to power on; press and hold the button for 3 seconds to power off. When the KickScooter is on, press the button to turn on/off the headlight and the tail light; and press twice to switch between the speed modes.
Speedometer: It displays the current speed of the scooter, as well as error codes.
*After setting the starting speed to 0 mph (0 km/h), the KickScooter will automatically enter Parking mode (P) upon powered on, and the KickScooter is unable to accelerate with “P” displayed on the speedometer. Rider has to exit Parking mode (P) by squeezing the brake lever once or accelerating the KickScooter to over 1.86 mph (3 km/h) before riding.
Direction Indicator: When turning left or right, press the “←” (left) or “→” (right) switch on the direction indicator switch. Then the direction indicator will flash regularly which can be turned off by pressing the corresponding switch again.
Walk Mode: Max. speed is 3.1 mph (5 km/h).
The headlight and rear light are always on and can’t be turned off.

    • How to enable in the Segway-Ninebot app: Settings > Walk Mode.
      Speed Mode: There are three modes available. The top speed is as follows:
    • The top speed and the accelerated speed of Sport mode (S) can be adjusted in Segway-Ninebot APP. (Current battery level will influence the maximum speed.)

Cruise mode: The symbol indicates that the cruise mode is activated.

    • Enable Cruise mode via Segway-Ninebot APP, and it will function when rider presses and holds the throttle for more than 5 seconds, with the buzzer ringing a long beep. (KickScooter can not enter Cruise mode when its speed is slower than 3.1 mph (5 km/h).
      Bluetooth: It indicates that the scooter has been successfully connected to the mobile device.
      Battery Level: The total battery level equals 5 bars.
    • The battery power is very low when the first battery bar is red. Please charge your KickScooter immediately.

Recommended Maintenance Schedule
To ensure safe riding, day to day care and regular maintenance are essential. You, the owner, have control and knowledge of how often you use your scooter, how hard you use it and where you use it. It is the owner’s responsibility to perform regular checks and bring your scooter to authorized service center for inspection and service. Please refer to the maintenance schedule below.

Fold and unfold, the upper vertical screw, the recommended torque is 15 ± 1N · m Fold the connecting rod, and fasten the connecting rod screws when rocking on the bike. The folding is smooth without shaking.
