AFX THUNDERLED Strobe LED Bar with RGB Effects
Product Information
The ThunderLED is a strobe LED bar with RGB light effects. It comes with a user manual and has the following product codes:
- 16-2095 (ThunderLED)
The ThunderLED is designed by LOTRONIC S.A. and assembled in PRC. The product is compliant with UK standards and is intended for indoor use only. The product has a Class I rating and must be connected to an earthed mains outlet.
The control panel of the ThunderLED features an LCD screen and four buttons that allow users to configure the settings for the light.
Product Usage Instructions
Before operating the ThunderLED, please read the user manual carefully. The manual contains important safety recommendations and instructions for use.
To connect the ThunderLED to a DMX controller, use a two-core, screened cable with XLR input and output connectors. Connect the male 3-pin XLR output of your controller to the female 3-pin XLR input of the light. You can chain multiple lights together through serial linking. When linking fixtures together, use data cables. If you choose to create your own cable, please use data-grade cables that can carry a high-quality signal and are less prone to electromagnetic interference. Cabling must have a male XLR connector on one end and a female XLR connector on the other end.
To avoid signal transmission problems and interference, it is always advisable to connect a DMX signal terminator. Test cables with an ohm meter to check correct polarity and to make sure the pins are not grounded or shorted to the shield or each other. The control panel of the ThunderLED has four buttons: Menu, Up, Down, and Enter. The Menu button scrolls through the first level of options or exits from the current menu or function. The Up button navigates upward through the menu list or increases the numeric value when in a function. The Down button navigates downward through the menu list or decreases the numeric value when in a function. The Enter button enables the currently displayed menu or sets the currently selected value into the current function.
The ThunderLED features several menu options, including DMX, Show, Music, Slave, Dimmer, Color Setting, and Info. Use the control panel to navigate through these options and configure the settings for your ThunderLED. Please note that staring into the light beam of the ThunderLED can be harmful to your eyes. Do not allow contact between the common and the fixture’s chassis ground as grounding the common can cause a ground loop, and your fixture may perform erratically. Also, do not open the housing of the ThunderLED as it poses a shock hazard.
