General
Thank you for choosing a SafetyFirst Hotel Safe.
Before operating your new safe, please read the user manual to ensure maximum
ease of operation.
Installing the batteries
The safe is unlocked after leaving the factory. Open the door and remove the
battery cover on the back of the door and install 4x AA 1,5 V batteries.
Ensure the batteries are fitted with the correct corresponding polarity. We
recommend you use Duracell alkaline batteries.
Programming the code
The safe is equipped with a master code with factory preset 011223. It is strongly recommended to change the codes before using the safe.
How to program the master code?
Door position: open and unlocked.
- Press the lock will enter the program mode, display will show “-PROG–”
- Enter the master code, the display will show “-NEW–”. The master code preset is 011223.
- Enter your new 6 digit master code within 5 seconds, display will show “AGAIN-”
- Repeat the new master code within 5 seconds. If the display shows “-DONE-” the new master code is programmed successfully.
Remark:
Verify the new master code 3 times with the safe door opened.
How to close the safe?
- Close the door and keep the door shut
- Enter your PIN-code (minimum 3, maximum 6 digits)
- Press*
- The locking bolts wil lock the door automatically and display will show “CLOSEd”
E.g. for PIN code 2442

Remark:
- Keep the door closed until the displays shows “CLOSEd”
- The user code is memorized at the same time
How open the safe?
- Enter your PIN code (same PIN code as used for closing the safe)
- The door will be opened and the display shows “OPENEd”
E.g. for PIN code 2442
Remarks:
If you input with incorrect PIN codes, the display shows “Error“. If 5 continuously attempts with the wrong codes, the keyboard will be disabled for 15 minutes. On display show ‘HOLD15’, every minute passes, the number decrease one. But the door can still be opened by override key and meanwhile end the disable.
How to open the safe with the override key?
For your convenience, we have engineered a manual override system for your safe. If you forget your code or the battery has run flat, you can still open your safe manually.
Remove the override key cover by sliding it downwards, you will see the override key hole (5). Insert the key and turn clockwise, then open the door (OPEN status), now you can change the battery according to “Installing the batteries”.
Battery placement warning
When the batteries are in low power status, during using the safe, it will display “BA-L’.
Display control
While entering the PIN code the code can be hidden on the display.
- Press * before entering your input code will be hidden on the display.
- All inputs within 5 seconds will not be visible but shwon as “-”
Display info
Error Data Display
ERROR
A wrong code has been entered, enter the correct user or master code
ERROR1
The door fails to open and the locking bolts are stuck. Push the door and try
to loosen the bolts. Eventually the door can be opened by override key.
ERROR2
This indicates the locking bolts are blocked during closing and fail to
extend. Keep the door shut until the display shows “CLOSE”. Now the locking
bolts are extended completely.
HOLD15
If 5 continuous attempts with the wrong codes, the keyboard will be disabled
for 15 minutes. Every minute passes, the number decrease one. But the door can
still be opened by override key and meanwhile end the disable.
