MINI NBT system
The interface is connected via a connection cable with contrast plugs. It is estimated that it takes about 30 minutes of work to connect the interface. When purchasing the interface, we take care of the correct settings. No programming is necessary

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Step 1. Turn off the contact
    By turning off the ignition, there is no more power on the multimedia unit and the cables can be safely disconnected and connected.

  2. Step 2. Remove trim screen (pull)
    Remove the two plugs at the bottom of the trim and gently pull the trim off the display. If it does not work the trim a little turn. In principle, the list should be easy to delete without forcing.MoTrade-MINI-NBT-Carplay-

  3. Step 3. Remove display (screw and pull)
    Unscrew the screen at the bottom (2x torx). Lift the grid at the top. Pull the display forward as you press the top clip holder down Disconnect all plugs (5 pieces). Use a small flat screwdriver to press the tab of the black three-pin plug.
    Press the video connector on the back of the screen at the bottom into the pallet. Pry very carefully with a small flat object between the seam if the plug is very tight. The remaining plugs can be pulled out by pressing the tabs simultaneously.MoTrade-MINI-NBT-Carplay-Interface-

  4. Step 4. Remove the air vents next to the display (screw and pull)
    Both air vents are fixed with a screw and three clips. Carefully when pulling off, the clips are loose and can fall down….

  5. Step 5. Click the air conditioning unit to make room (pull)
    Pull off the air conditioning unit and let it hang down on the plug. The radio now has room to tilt forward.

  6. Step 6. Tilt the radio forward (screws)
    Unloadthe radio (2x torx) and tilt it forward so that you can easily reach the black power strip kunt.

  7. Step 7. Connect the black power strip (plugin)
    Disconnect the large black power strip from the multimedia unit by pressing the tab of the plug, pressing the lever slightly down, and then pulling it over. The power strip will then come out automatically.
    If fitted, the integrated plug with the two optical cables (usually green or orange, 1 of which is wrapped in black). To do this, pull out the pallet with a pointed object so that the plug can be pulled out. Transfer this plug to the power strip of the interface (press it) and then insert this power strip into the radio. Then pair the other power strip with the contrast plug. Connect the power strip to the contrast plug of the interface connection cable and connect the interface power strip to the radio.

  8. Step 8. Connect all cables (plugs)
    Connect the angled plug disconnected from the display to LVDS2 of the interface and the video cable supplied with the interface to LVDS1. Connect the angled plug of the video cable supplied with the interface to the display. Both the original radio and the interface now use the display. In case the interface is placed under the glove compartment, there is limited space to pass through the cables. When positioning, keep in mind that the interface is mounted behind the air conditioning unit and under the radio.

  9. Step 9. Insert the antenna
    Connect the Wi-Fi antenna to the interface andpaint the Wi-Fi antenna in a free space against plastic (not on metal or the interface itself).

  10. Step 10. Position the USB cable (conduction)
    Connect the USB cable. Determine the most desired position of the USB plug. Guide the USBextensioncable tothat position,for example at the bottom of the glove compartment.

  11. Step 11. Mount the interface (positioning)
    Place the interface behind the air conditioning unit and under the radio. Make sure that the cables do not buckle and that there is enough space to replace the display.

  12. Step 12. Reconnect the display.
    Attach the interface video plug and the remaining cables to the display. Screw the radio back into position and replace the display

  13. Stap 13. Test the system (operation)
    Test the system for at least the following points:

  14. graphical representation

  15. sound

  16. Switch between radio and interface (back button few sec press)

  17. reverse gear

  18. ring
    For sound, the radio must first be set to AUX. Check the position of the dip switches in case something is not working properly. After changing a dip switch, the power must be taken from the unit (power plug out/in).

  19. Step 14. Close the system again (click and screw)

  20. Stap 15. Connect the interface to your phone
    Disconnect the Bluetooth connection with the MINI. Connect to the Bluetooth of the Carplay interface (0000) and turn on Wi-Fi and Carplay on your phone. The interface builds up a Wi-Fi connection itself via the Bluetooth connection. The system is basically ready.

Exceptions
In case no original car kit is present, an optional microphone can be connected to the interface.
