Checks before start-up
- Make sure that the voltage and frequency of power supply and pump (see nameplate) are suitable.
- Make sure that the pump shaft may rotate freely.
- Fill the pump with water to make sure that the pump body, filter basket, pipes and other connectors are not leaking. Tighten or loose the screws with hands, or tolls if necessary.
- Open any existing valves in pressure and suction lines and check that all hoses are connected.
- Please fill the suction pipe and the pump body completely with water.
- The pump is suitable for clean water with a temperature of max. 35 ℃.
Power supply
Use the pump only on a three-pole socket with 230 V/50 Hz
Mounting
- To avoid long suction lines and the resulting power losses the pump should be installed at the level of the water table or below the water level.
- It is possible to assemble the pump to the ground. Please use the provided holes in the base plate to install the pump on a flat surface.
- The pumps shall be placed in a well ventilated, dry, and flood-proof place.
Placing the hoses
- The suction hose must be low pressure resistant. Please install it at least 30 cm below the water level. This is necessary to avoid vortex formation and through this caused air inlet in the system.
- The pipe connections must be 100 % airtight. Pipe bends and a wavy placing of the hoses must be avoided if possible. The sucking line should have a minimum descent of 2 % on its complete length so that no air can remain in the system.
- The pressure hose should have a diameter at least as large as the diameter of the pressure joint.
- The hoses may not lay on the pump. Make sure that all connections are tight so that the pumpdoes not come in contact with moisture. The pump could be damaged through water!
Start-up
- Fill the pump with water to make sure that the pump body, filter basket, pipes and other connectors are not leaking. Tighten or loose the screws with hands, or tolls if necessary.
- Open any existing valves in pressure and suction lines and check that all hoses are connected.
- Please fill the suction pipe and the pump body completely with water.
- Plug in the pump and check that the water pump circulates.
- If the pump is used above the water level of the pool, you must use a foot valve at the suction hose to avoid that the water runs back in the pool when you do not use the pump.
- Switch of the pump, when the engine does not start or not water is promoted. In this case check if something is blocking the water flow.
- Do not run the pump without water in the pump body. This would damage the mechanical seal and in this case the pump would leaking.
- Please do not work on the pump while the pump is running!
- If you have any problems which are not mentioned in the manual or which you could not explain please contact an expert.
Maintenance
Our electric pumps require no special maintenance. Please clean regularly the
