Product Information
The LANCOM GS-3652X is a high-performance switch designed for use in large networks. It has a total of 52 ports, including 36 TP Ethernet ports with speeds of 10M / 100M / 1G and 12 TP Ethernetports with speeds of 100M / 1G / 2.5G. It also has 4 SFP+ ports with speeds of 1G / 10G. The switch features a robust metal housing with removable mounting brackets for easy installation in a 19-inch rack. It comes with a serial configuration cable and an IEC power cord.
LED Description
- System: off (device switched off), green (device operational), red (hardware error)
- Reset button: ~5 sec. pressed (device restart), pressed until all port LEDs glow (configuration reset and device restart)
- TP Ethernet ports 10M / 100M / 1G: off (port inactive or disabled), green (link 1000 Mbps), green blinking (data transfer, link 1000 Mbps), orange (link < 1000 Mbps), orange blinking (data transfer, link < 1000 Mbps)
- TP Ethernet ports 100M / 1G / 2.5G: off (port inactive or disabled), green (link 2500 – 1000 Mbps), green blinking (data transfer, link 2500 – 1000 Mbps), orange (link < 1000 Mbps), orange blinking (data transfer, link < 1000 Mbps)
- SFP+ ports 1G / 10G: off (port inactive or disabled), blue (link 10 Gbps), blue blinking (data transfer, link 10 Gbps), green (link 1 Gbps), green blinking (data transfer, link 1 Gbps)

Product Usage Instructions
Before initial startup, please read the enclosed installation guide for information regarding the intended use of the switch.
Connecting the Configuration Interface
To configure or monitor the switch, connect the configuration interface via the included serial configuration cable to the serial interface of the device you want to use.
Connecting Ethernet Interfaces
To connect your PC or a LAN switch to the TP Ethernet interfaces:
- Use Ethernet cables to connect interfaces 1 to 36 for speeds of 10M / 100M / 1G.
- Use Ethernet cables to connect interfaces 37 to 48 for speeds of 100M / 1G / 2.5G.
Connecting SFP+ Interfaces
To insert suitable LANCOM SFP modules into the SFP+ interfaces:
- Insert the module into interfaces 49 to 52.
- Choose cables that are compatible with the SFP modules and connect them as described in the module’s documentation.
Supplying Power to the Device
To supply power to the device:
- Connect the IEC power cable supplied or a country-specific LANCOM Power Cord to the power connector on the device’s backside.
- Before connecting the power supply, connect to the earth to avoid high touch current.

Configuration interface (Console)
Connect the configuration interface via the included serial configuration cable to the serial interface of the device you want to use for configuring/monitoring the switch. -
TP Ethernet interfaces 10M / 100M / 1G
Use Ethernet cables to connect interfaces 1 to 36 to your PC or a LAN switch. -
TP Ethernet interfaces 100M / 1G / 2.5G
Use Ethernet cables to connect interfaces 37 to 48 to your PC or a LAN switch. -
SFP+ interfaces 1G / 10G
Insert suitable LANCOM SFP modules into the SFP+ interfaces 49 to 52. Choose cables that are compatible with the SFP modules and connect them as described in the module’s documentation. -
Power connector (device back side)
Supply power to the device via the power connector. Please use the IEC power cable supplied or a country-specific LANCOM Power Cord. -
ATTENTION : High touch current possible! Connect to Earth before connecting the power supply

Before initial startup, please make sure to take notice of the information
regarding the intended use in the enclosed installation guide!
Operate the device only with a professionally installed power supply at a
nearby power socket that is freely accessible at all times.
The power plug of the device must be freely accessible.
Please note that support for third-party accessories (SFP and DAC) is not
provided.
Please observe the following when setting up the device
- For devices to be operated on the desktop, please attach the adhesive rubber footpads
- Do not rest any objects on top of the device
- Keep all ventilation slots on the side of the device clear of obstruction
- Mount the device into a 19” unit in a server cabinet using the provided screws and mounting brackets. If an additional rear support surface is required for more stable mounting of the switch, please use the LANCOM Switch Rack Mount L250, which is available as an accessory.
